Hey matie. Loved the finished result! I have watched your channel for the last little while and seen a few of your older projects from the airbagged Ceoure to the VN wagon resto and this KE10 was probably the most invested, applied and whole hearted resto I've seen you do. I must confess when you said you 'only' had 10 weeks thought you'd be cutting it fine... But despite your health scares (which even got me talking to my GP) you chipped away and you should be very proud of the vehicle you've created. I too am a motoring enthusiast and my recent project has been restoring an old Massey Ferguson tractor, guess my secret with a long term project is do the easiest job then the snowball of motivation move you onto the slightly harder job and then before you know it you smash it down! I appreciate as well how cognitively difficult it is to mechanic, commentate and film all at exactly the same time and you do really well on all that. I imagine too how cool it would be if you had a pro film and sound crew to help you put and take your productions and projects further. I have to say my heart did bleed when your side window smashed, felt your pain! Congratulations on your car and must say it look grouce at the wedding, all the best to you and Emily, bring on 2023 with new projects or old finished projects and keep awesome!

Hey man, that is by far the nicest comment i have ever recieved.
Im glad you have watched for a while that makes filming all worth it :)
Honestly this car was for me, the cuore and the vn type projects were for the experience and the people, corollas are where my heart is for some crazy reason and i built this to keep (until i had to cut corners)
10 weeks was a push but luckily(?) I didnt have work due to the medical stuff..
Thankyou very much for your nice words, i would love to have someone to film and help with the channel, maybe one day if I get enough traction :)
Thankyou very much mate, i hope you have a great year too!

@@elheffeschopshop @El Heffe's Chopshop guess it wasn't too hard to tell how passionate you were about this car and guess to that's the thing with car restoration of you do vehicles you adore and with passion it shines through. You could try and show your work new and old to a production company to see what they reckon from where you started to now. It also is a reflection on the standard and skills of your work that has definitely has gone up, but probably you and I would agree it's only practice and time as you do more that aids in helping expand your skill set. It's also cool how you shout out smaller companies and help them out, gotta love the old 'I'll scratch your back and you scratch mine'. Always happy to praise good work and good people, but I like on how you let people into your own life via the camera and take them on a ride, thanks for showing the world your life and skills and bring on 2023.
Oh and I have to say I do like your idea on pressure washing a car interior, over Christmas I tried that in my mother in laws Corolla and came up like new! She was most impressed!!!

And if I can give any advice to you, savour the KE10 for a bit. I'd even go as far to say if you believe you need a spell from project vehicles temporarily, take it. These things are quite emotionally investing and draining to the greater extent. Take the time to reflect up the KE10 and when you come to your next project you go for it in an even clearer and more driven headspace ;)

Thats kinda the plan, im going to try and focus on the sheds/yard for a bit and just get away from the nitty gritty of a project. Going for a drive shortly in the hills with a mate, keen to just enjoy it for a while :)

Turtle Wax headlight cleaner and polish does a great job on old plastic lenses. Just redo it every 6 months or so. JAF's is a great day. That glass would have been devastating. Well done getting the car to the wedding, and congratulations to Dale and his new wife!
