My husband and I got the flu in like 2008. We still talk about it and compare every other illness we get to that one.

As an emergency room nurse for children with hi temps we alternate Tylenol and Motrin. It works well to get temps under control. Lots of fluids. Hope all get well soon.
It worked wonderful for my children. My 2nd daughter had many problems with very high fevers and some other issues. Her temp got up to 106 and she was delirious. Of course that was an ER visit but but unusual for her to have high fevers. The only way to bring them down was to do the Tylenol/motrin, liquids, etc.. We finally found out what was going on before my youngest was born, had it taken care of, and she was OK. Just in time for little baby sister. We knew that it was something to do with her body because nobody else ever would catch anything from her. They are now 27, 24, and 22. I alternate with my grandchildren if needed.

The flu has hit the country so bad this year. Yes I did have the flu and it was not fun. I normally don't get it either, so it hit me like a ton of bricks. Everyone in my house was sick for 5 days. I was so sore, couldn't keep much down, the fatigue and headaches were not fun. I hope you guys feel better soon.

Glad to see the Grand Prix footage. They were so excited! Sorry to hear you’re sick :( Alaska’s been hit hard with flu this year. So far our family has avoided it but most at church have had it.

I don't think I've ever clicked a video so fast. I hope you're all doing better now, that was brutal! I have managed to avoid the flu so far this year, I don't usually get it, but I think it was 3 or maybe 4 years ago, as I was basically living out my worst nightmare as far as life was concerned, I got the flu on top of it and literally thought I was going to die. But, personally I would take any form of sickness over a stomach bug. I always say I can handle anything as long as I don't throw up!

When I was like 2 years old I had this bad sickness called Hand Foot and Mouth witch makes you feel AWFUL it makes you have a EXTREMELY high fever I had it so bad my cheeks were swelling up and my fingernails fell off and I was soo red I was sad and I was coughing and I had a really sore throat me parents almost took me to the hospital but they did not for some reason I had a fever of about 40 degrees .C I was really sick it mainly happens to baby’s and toddlers

I grew up in Awana's from 3rd grade- 8th grade.
Then I became a leader in the girls group 2 years later I was a director in Cubbies.
I played Sparky for the Olympics and the sing a long for Christmas back in the day.

We were in the hospital on Easter! One of my 5 year old twin girls was playing on a play set in our friends backyard, tripped & fell, put her hands out to catch herself & snagged her finger on part of the play structure. She severed a whole chunk of her pinkie, we had to get it stitched up and now we go back to an orthopedic surgeon on Thursday to see if it's gotten good blood flow or has to be amputated. Needless to say we've had no sleep/rest around here...
Can I please get a prayer please I may get surgery and my mom been get emotional because she is scared so please can I have a prayer

Being sick is no fun. When I was sick, all I could keep down was bananas and fruit smoothies. The fruit smoothies helped keep my temperature down and kept me from getting dehydrated. Feel better soon!

Dolly Perry kids puke with influenza because of the fever. Adults dont usually. Stomach flu doesn’t last this long

Hyperemesis Gravidum is pronounced Hyper-ema-sis Grava-de-um. It's no fun. I ended up losing my only 2 children because I couldn't even keep an ice chip in me. I lost my daughter at 25wks and my son was at 20wks. I lost 50lbs with my daughter and I lost 40lbs with my son. I leaned on God and said: God I can't eat or drink, I never had a baby bump, and I never felt the babies move at all. So, the message God gave me was that there was something wrong with the pregnancies and that I wasn't able to safely carry the babies. We kept trying until we had my husband's sperm count done and it came back with not one sperm. So, we kept praying and trying in case of a miracle, but that ever happened.

I've been dealing with the flu bug for about 3 month's I've been in the hospital for pneumonia, all 3 X I have catheter and I've had major infections that got into my kidneys the first hospital was for pneumonia aspiration pneumonia the last two admissions I had bacterial pneumonia that is dangerous for people our age 81
.I rally know how you feel we have have my husband and I and 2 grandkids girl 15, boy 10 . GRANDDAUGHTER had first end it like wildfire. My prayers are with ALWAYS.

I’ve had twice. All the usual symptoms nausea, vomiting, elevated temp., dehydrated(, push fluids) hurts all over, head feels like it might come off. Prayers sent for you all. Rest, Tylenol and like I said push fluids. The Grand Prix was cool. The kids were adorable. I’m sorry you’re all sick.

Oh no. Hugs and prayers. We drove to Legoland in Ca. And my son was sick. He threw up in Denny’s restaurant and had the flu. Since we were away from home it was kind of scary.
This crazy, my family and I got really sick in January of 2019. I swear it was the bird flu like you guys had. Started with me having a head cold for a week, then I went to bed Sunday night and waking up with a fever with my daughter. The girls got the flu and the boys got a mild version, if that is possible and not fair.

I had a cough, headache, and a fever over 100 all day for 2 days and it was terrible and my class was doing really fun stuff all day but there were only like 8 ppl in my class

The rest of the nation has been afflicted with the flu. In my area there have been at least 60 deaths in all age groups. One person over the course of the day, he developed the flu so bad that by that night he was in the hospital and required amputation of 9 fingers and I believe at least 6-7 toes. He was the picture of health prior to the flu. I am so thankful that y'all weren't afflicted like that. One common factor was that no one had gotten the flu shot. I am immunosuppressed so I can have a sore throat and a pneumonia by that evening. I got a bronchial pneumonia while visiting my parents in PA. Thankfully my internal medicine doctor knows me very well and she called prescriptions into a local pharmacy up there. I was afraid that I would end up in hospital, thankfully I didn't need that. The first time I ever got bronchial pneumonia I ended up with a subarachnoid hemorrhage and was medi-evaced because of the brain bleed. Unfortunately, I can't have the pneumonia vaccine because I had an allergic reaction of an asthmatic. My doctors have told me to get any vaccination that I can, especially since I was a hospital-based nurse.

Get a flu shot for the kids this fall. There are no symptoms from the shot. The kids are too precious to risk. I always get flu shots for our family and we were healthy all winter.
