    Im sure someone has said it already, but i believe warm to hot water when washing micro fiber not cold. Helps remove wax. And air dry, no heat dry. But cold water will work depending on use of cloths. Great video, love the tips :)

    I had the same problem with the headlight on my (3 year) new Honda HRV where it was yellowing just before end of warranty period. You may want to check it with your dealer to see if they can address the issue if it is still under manufacturer warranty. Honda Australia had no issue with replacing my expensive LED headlights completely and now they are brand new.

    One tip for you that might help out is to use hot water when washing your microfibers. It will help get all the wax and other contaminates out of the fibers. Also worth mentioning to always dry on the lowest heat setting as to not melt all the micro fibers. Great video though!

      I've often wondered, what temperatures are "cold, warm and hot" on your washing machines?
      In Europe we use the actual temperatures (C°, though)...
      I wash my MFs ;-) at 40° C, which I guess would be "warm-ish", and very seldomly some get 60°. Our hottest possible setting for linnen and towels i.e. is 90, which from Danish directly translates to "boil wash". (Water boils at 100° C).

    If you have to wash out in the sun get a soap thats ph balanced so it won’t leave spots...I use Adams polishes soap...it’s awesome and doesn’t leave spots when washing in hot hot sun

    • @flemmingjensen3202
      @flemmingjensen3202 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rhett Taylor How do you avoid water spots in the sun? You do rinse the soap off, right?

    • @damionmyst
      @damionmyst 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Flemming Jensen ...luckily rinsing doesn’t take that long..so the car won’t dry out on you in the time it takes to rinse..I then use air to blow off the water..working quick ..or apply a hydrophobic sealant while it’s still wet(h20 guard and gloss) ...I wash mine in full sun or partial sun all the time and don’t have issues when I use the right products...Adams has a video where they wash a car in the Arizona sun and let it dry with their soap applied on purpose..go check it out..good detailing tips on there.

    I hate when i park my car far away when I go to the store only to come back out and find some a-hole park their piece of crap car really close to my car. It's annoying when they could've parked somewhere else, especially when it's a big almost empty parking lot, but they choose to park next to you.

  • @texastriguy
    @texastriguy 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Sarah - two thoughts:
    First - remind folks to NEVER wash microfiber with any other material, especially cotton!
    Second - the "two bucket wash" is the traditional standard, but there's one better: the one bucket wash. How's that? you say...
    Well, instead of going back to your rinse bucket to clean your wash mitt, I just buy a 10-pack of ultra-thick microfiber cloths for washing. Put them ALL in your wash solution. Once you wash a portion of the car, toss the used microfiber in an empty catch bucket and go get a new one. When done, put everything in the washer and let it do the work. Not only is this even better than rinsing, it takes a lot less time since you can skip the rinse step.
    PS - if you're ever in Houston, I've got an 800whp bright blue wagon you should test drive.

    • @woodworthd2
      @woodworthd2 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's still a two bucket method, just with more cloths. I think it's a good idea, but still 2 buckets. :) And that wagon should get some good beans!

    • @texastriguy
      @texastriguy 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      David W Ok, ok lol. I should have said throw the used microfiber on the ground! ;)
      But yeah - it does use a lot more cloths. But it has two good advantages.
      First - its faster. I was surprised how much time it takes to rinse and wring the wash mitt or rag.
      Next - it ensures absolutely zero grit, while the rinse method doesnt guarantee ALL the contaminants get removed.
      Its still not a bad idea to use a grit guard tho.

    I actually like that you leave in the "embarrassing moments", or failed jokes. Those, and the thinly veiled dick jokes, make your content way more entertaining. That entertainment level is what keeps yours from being just another channel with a pretty woman holding a wrench. Yours is the only "car girl" channel that I actually sub to, or watch. Your personality is the reason why.
