EASY Crochet BABY Beanie | 6 Months - 1 Year

NEW Crochet BABY BEANIE Pattern: This crochet baby beanie is ideal for a baby between 6 months to 1 year-old. This is great if you have a 1st birthday party in your future, or if you just want to create a beanie for your little one. This crochet pattern should take less than 45 minutes to complete, making it a great last-minute gift! This would pair perfectly with one of my crochet soft baskets!

Baby Beanie Crochet Pattern:
Crochet Hook; G/6/4.25MM
Yarn: Size 4, Medium Weight Wool Yarn by Cascade Yarns (White & Pacific)
2 Cotton Balls
1 Stitch Marker

Attach yarn to crochet hook using a Magic Circle (MC).
Row 1: CH 1, then place 1 SC + 11 DC inside MC.
Row 2: Starting in SC st, place 2 DC in each st in the row - this will create a spiral pattern, so make sure you mark the 1st st (16 total st).
Row 3: Place 1 BACK POST st in st 1, and 2 BACK POST st in st 2. Repeat this alternating pattern around the row (36 total st).
Row 4: Place 1 DC in st 1 & 2, then 2 DC in st 3. Repeat this around the row (48 total st).
Row 5: Place 1 DC in st 1 - 3, then 2 DC in st 4. Repeat this around the row (60 total st).
Rows 6 & 7: Place 1 BACK POST st in each st in the row (60 total st).
Rows 8 & 9: Place 1 DC in each st in the row (60 total st).
Rows 10 - 12: Place 1 BACK POST st in each st in the row (60 total st).
Rows 13 & 14: Place 1 DC in each st in the row (60 total st).
Rows 15 - 17: Place 1 BACK POST st in each st in the row (60 total st).
Rows 18 & 19: Place 1 DC in each st in the row (60 total st).
• Place 1 SC in the next 2 st, then 1 SL st in the following 2 st.
• Cut yarn and pull yarn through current loop to tie off.
• Hide tails in the direction you were crocheting for a few stitches, then up the inside of the beanie.
