    Do you have to crochet as tight as you are? You struggle with every stitch. This piece is beautiful, but this would be terribly frustrating.

    • @catherinecrochet
      @catherinecrochet  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hey 😊 I do that bc the bag will get pretty stiff as well. You can of course work with less tension, in part 2 I show how to sew plastic canvas to its inside which will keep the bag in shape.

    When you started doing the sides and you did the 3 loops on the needle, did you only do it to that side or did you repeat the same thing on the other side as well?

    • @catherinecrochet
      @catherinecrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, I do this three loop stitch on both sides. You will find a more detailed explanation of this pattern in my tutorial "elegant crochet bag - Part 1" - maybe this will help :)

  • @ajinomotogai

    Hi! I'd like to ask when started to crochet the sides and the 3 loops for the first stich, how many single crochet should i have until the 3 stich at the hole on the top? because i cant have it balance for both sides. like one side is 32 single crochet, other side will be 30 single crochet.

    • @catherinecrochet
      @catherinecrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, please excuse my late reply, I somehow missed your comment :( The number of stitches depends of course on how thick your yarn is, for me it's 32 stitches per side for example. Actually you should also have the same number, or at most 1 stitch difference per side. Make sure to always take the very first stitch after you have turned over. It might also help to skip the chain stitch before turning :)

    • @ajinomotogai
      @ajinomotogai 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@catherinecrochet No worries, thanks for your reply! I see, i'll try to figure it out again. somehow mine got out of shape when i goes on, it become 'V' shape side instead of parallel 😂 im using 100% polyster macrame yarn, not sure if its because the yarn is too hard hmmm.

      Hey dear, how is your project going? :) Have you tried to skip the chain stitch before turning? I'm working on a new tutorial that includes this pattern as well and noted that its easier when you skip this stitch.

    How many gram do you use?

    • @catherinecrochet
      @catherinecrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, I had two balls of 200 gram each (each 140 m in length and the yarn is approximately 4mm thick) but didn't need them in total. With the remainder you can e.g. make a nice handle (in my elegant crochet bag part 2 there is a handle tutorial in the end). :)
