I’m confused by his review. He’s so negative. The seats are very comfortable. He’s a really big guy that needs a Yukon. I don’t have the active steering so I can’t comment on that. The vehicle is absolutely amazing.
Seats are amazing. I am 6’3” and they are perfect. Handling is amazing. If you just prefer to get Range Rover, you should just go and buy it. If you need 3rd row, there is an X7. Steering adds fatigue? Another nonsense

After owing 2 of these bmws, both m50s, first thing I did to help the ride was replace the run flat tires which makes it ride stiff and bouncy, all season tires that are not run flat would make the ride over 50% better, overall loved it, 1 main issue something happened was my transfercase at 70k miles went bad, amazing suv.
You’re completely off. I drove a Velar for 7 weeks non stop. It doesn’t even hold a candle to this car. Nonsense. Terrible steering? Lol! It’s the best handling, most responsive large suv, save the Cayenne.
Not to nit pick you but the velar svr is slower then this car, and the X3M as tested by car and driver does .... BMW X4 M, X3 M Competition Outaccelerate M3, Nailing 60 MPH in 3.3 Seconds. That's a whole second faster then your svr.
Side note you mentioned the Velar felt faster and the x5 you felt tons of turbo lag. It is post 5 second 0 to 60 with the 380 HP r engine. It weights 600 lbs less but that m50i puts ~550 torque at 1800 rpms and 520 HP. With launch control, which you didnt do, it felt the 4 second 0 to 60. Without or rolling start felt even faster to me. Something wrong with the car you had?

@@NewCarSpin XC90 T8 owner and really a different car and both take time to get use too. Which I think was your disconnect. Before the XC I had a 08 M5 that was super hyper but fun to drive. Drove the M50i with Dynamic package and reminded me of the change from the M5 to XC90. The volvo had tons of driving options; pretty much choose a driving option such as sport or pure electric and you know what you get. BMW is hyper focused on performace, so all options will be confusing and comfort was even more performance tuned then sport on the XC90. I would say if you want a do everything 4 second 0 to 60 SUV you should take a look. If you want comfort, size and eco then look at the XC90. Has some of the same BS like IR seeing if you are tired etc but just not as fast. I thought the 4 wheel steering made it feel considerably more nible at slow speeds but agree hyper at high. Turning radius was out of control good and to cure fatigue just use the driver assistance package. At this point what is an aditional $1700. I would disagree on the zf8 trans which I found to be super quick or smooth in comfort. About the same as DC trans. I also found dynamic package, though very sport tuned, to level out the car in corners. With rough patches I found the 22 inch rims to be the issue, what do you expect with 22 inch. I defiantly agree the nickle and dimeing by BMW is out of control. This car should inclued half the options at the price, massaging and venting seats is the worst offender. Good review and thanks.
@@specialheschel2295 interesting. Would X5 50i with air suspension be a better combo? Just wondering - sporty enough handling with standard adaptive suspension but more comfortable with air suspension added? Plenty of acceleration still.
Your comments are simply ridiculous.... your takes are completely nonsensical and absurd. You ding a high end suv for doing exactly what it is designed to do.
