regarding using Dante to send a split into X32 for broadcast, yes you are correct. run the IO at 48K, and use tie lines to send your GX inputs to X32. Only 32 of the channels though since that is the limitation of the X32 IO card and console
Our church is also moving soon to the SQ-7 w/Dante and GX4816. Looking forward to hearing more about your experience and what you decide to do with it.
Great idea about keeping DCA and some others strips in all layers for quick mixing and easy access. We just got an SQ7........upgraded from a QU32. I'm so excited!
Thanks for asking. It has been a couple years since I have been on it, but I know it is still running strong at the church I purchased it. My friends and old team who are still there still like it. From a practical perspective, it’s still one of my favorite user interfaces especially at the cost. I always loved the mic pres on it as well. So I am still a fan of it although from a distance now.
Thanks for asking! Short answer is ABSOLUTELY! I loved that console. I only say "loved" because I just recently moved and am at a new church and unfortunately am currently back to the X32. :(. But the SQ-7 is such a good console. It sounds fantastic and is intuitive and easy to move and around and program. Great board that I would gladly buy again.
is the Allen & Heath SQ7 only for LIVE RECORDINGS? I would like to use this mixer for my recording studio. Will that work? My DAW is the FL STUDIO Signature!

The SQ7 does have usb connectivity and can be used as an audio interface to connect to your DAW.
Iv been mixing on an X32 for 4 years. It’s the only console Iv ever used. We’re getting an Sq7 in a couple weeks, how’s the transition?

just remember you can take what ever channel you want to mute from your DCAs and throw it into a soft key
