This is really helping me manage my Severance addiction and the week long wait between episodes
You know, I actually enjoy waiting a week between episodes. Keeps me thinking about the show and gives me time to rewatch an episode or two, builds anticipation, time to watch TH-cam theories and whatnot. I missed being excited for a tv show all week.

Agreed. It’s crazy. I’m in my 30’s and remember watching shows with my parents on saturdays and Sundays. It was always like this. And all we could do was talk about it all week in anticipation of next weeks episode

The producers probably worked with them because this is an ad campaign disguised as entertainment. It’s a great disguise, and I am entertained. But you should realize that this design was very intentional.

It's really weird seeing Patricia laugh so much in a silly way after seeing her terrifying, ice cold role in Severance. She's an excellent actress. Solid Gold indeed, Lynch.
You should watch "High Desert" (series, also Apple TV+, cancelled after 1 season but works as a miniseries). She's hilarious and unhinged there. Not everyone loves the show (I do), but it gives Twin Peaks: The Return vibes but just the crime and assassins stuff (none of the FBI and Lodge stuff).

I used to work at a coffee shop in Hollywood, and Adam Scott came by a few times to meet with people. He was genuinely one of the sweetest famous people who ever came by, he was always happy to say hi to people who recognized him.
It's taken him a long time to start becoming a known actor.

Because art (especially from auteurs like Lynch) is a created thing. People who believe that life takes place within creation generally _do_ believe that it makes sense - if not to them, then to God.
Those who don't believe in a deity generally also believe that life is absurd or else meaningless. But that would be the disanalogy: The world was not created, but art is (and so could be expected to be sensical where life is not).
There's also the physical nature of film reinforcing the basic nature of causality - a prerequisite for sense-making - but we don't need to get into that in a TH-cam comment.
Lynch only makes sense in the real world.
I know actors are actors but sometimes I feel their character personalities and the way they talk is very similar to the way they are in real life. She’s is soooooo different, even her voice is just another thing. I love her!

Tbf it also depends a lot on the character. Sometimes the character just happens to be very similar to the actor in real life. But I agree that the differences are really stark in this case!
You should watch Escape from Dannemora - her character is WILDLY different from anything in Severance. (Stiller directed it too)
You do know that actors don't stop acting, ever, right? If there's a camera they put on a show. Don't think they show you their real faces. Come on.

You can see that she took that advice to heart to take longer with a scene, let it breathe, draw out the intensity with Cob-elvig...especially in the 2nd episode when Helena is offering her job back. She waits about 5 extra beats to respond under a normal circumstance but it's perfect for the show and for her character.
Words cannot describe how much I love Severance. Only a master orator and wordsmith like Rickon Hale could articulate how my love for Severance is almost as great as my admiration for Kier.
And never forget-- "Bullies....are nothing but 'bull'....and 'lies"

I must say every role Adam Scott has been in, no matter how major or minor it may have been. Was so memorable for me! He’s funny and very much a brilliant actor. Same for Patricia she is strongly underrated she is very much memorable in all her roles deserved all her nominations imo.
