With a Double Dab at the end. Champion!
Yh he scared me a little 😂

Total beast mode, wow
The transitions of him explaining his favorite video games is top tier editing. You can tell he went into detail and has a passion. I love this show
He was just stalling before da bomb
Kieran's truly just a really lovely charming passionate guy.
@@tugboat6940 Hey who wouldn't :DDD
I laughed cause it felt like a montage from a movie where the main character is drunkenly ranting about his favorite games.
What a horrible night to have a curse.
i know ppl say it a lot but he is literally just a nice version of Roman Roy and I love it
He’s such a sweetheart compared to Roman 🥰🥰🥰
He's how Roman would have been if he'd had halfway decent parents. 😢
havent heard that but that feels 100% legit. He is probably my fave character in the show (that I actually love and hate at the same time) and what he does with his body language in the show is amazing.
Going by this interview only I wouldn't say nicer. Maybe a more toned down version of Roman.
😊
The fact that he's still good friends with Michael Cera is so cool
is it just me or do they sound alike as well?
@EBC-ENTno it’s just you bro, have fun mocking yourself.
Well they were in Scott Pilgrim. And everyone has said they keep in touch with each other in an email chain that’s been active ever since
i love the transitions of kieran mid conversation like he’s been talking for hours
his speech patterns are too familiar to me 😅 Once my friend stopped me mid-sentence and said “i love you very much but i do not understand anything you just said”

That guy is legit. As he was pondering the question I was thinking "He's gotta say Castlevania" and when he did, Kieran Culkin became a furious warrior angel in my estimation, perfect and savage
@Turnabout weird no actors from. Mario didn't come on
I would've listen to hour of this)
I imagine this would by my dream date, first one is always an interview anyway
they need to show the full length rant as a special feature later.
I really just love when people come on and are completely normal and relatable. He doesn't seem like some famous actor on like the highest rated show on television. He's just a dad you meet in a bar and talk about how hard Castlevania is with.
Seems like a genuine person. I've liked him in everything I've seen him in.
@@grumpyguss I'm actually going to watch things just because he's in them because I liked him so much.
I also like it when people are people. I don't like it when people are not people.
@@DraperJake He's just terrific in Scott Pilgrim, even he's only in a few scenes really. Some great one liners, and he's just funny (like everyone else in the movie lol)
@@LordLOC That's my wife's favorite movie. It's a real gem.
It's interesting that Kieran has such a good memory for lines. His brother Macaulay said that was his biggest asset as a child actor as well - he was really good at memorizing long pages of lines quickly so he didn't need a whole lot of time to prepare. So I guess the Culkins have like some genetic freaky good fast memorization ability, that's dope
I remember reading an article that Macaulay (when he was rehearsing for SNL), wasn't allowed to use cue cards, because his dad refused to let him use them. (His dad was notoriously awful to him and was way too controlling over him.) So I wonder if that was something Macaulay got good at doing simply because his father would lash out or get angry if he didn't nail his lines.
I mean it makes sense considering he's the only decent actor out of his siblings .
@@haakonhirt670 Oh wow that's a less fun reason for Macaulay to be good at lines. Thank God they're grown up now and away from their father 😥
That ain’t dope, they smart
A touch of the tism
It’s worth remembering that Connor Roy was interested in politics from a young age.
Yeah and it’s really paying off with that less than 1%. He’ll get there eventually.

Love when the first comment ruins the entire episode
The Culkins are such affable, down to earth people. It is amazing considering how crazy their childhood must have been. Kieran is a great guy.
I was just thinking the same thing. And wondering who got them through it… or maybe it was just exceptional mental toughness.
Kieran seems like himself, no filter or add ons for the camera. Just a cool guy i think everyone would love to have him as a friend
@@KayBee659 Some sources point out that Michael Jackson stepped in to help them out. But the rumors about him put that claim in doubt.

I know it’s said a lot, but it’s worth re-stating that Sean’s interviewing ability is absolutely what has kept this show running for 20 seasons. His questions, his listening skills, his humility. It all makes these people open up in a way that would be worth watching if the wings went away forever.
He matches their energy. That's the true key to interviews.
Sean is an expert interview journalist! Among the world’s best truly; from research to question writing to conducting the interview, which he still does a very substantial portion of, he is excellent
@@VolleyballHighlights2024 For me he ranks right up there with people like Nardwuar in terms of interview skills

I want the full, unedited, Nintendo rant from Kieran. This episode made it look like he extended a lot and they just spliced it and made it super short!
I agree, there's something special about listening to someone gush about something that they love

Same!
The whole episode seems edited and rushed tbh
the part of the wall from simmons quest, i used to talk about that in my childhood

This was great, but let’s not forget Paul Rudd.
Props to Kieran for appreciating Bautista. He is by far the most talented wrestler turned actor and can't wait to see more of him on screen.
Totally agree... he plays actual characters that differ from one to the next. I love The Rock but that's all he ever plays... The Rock.
His part in Bladeruner 2049 was incredibly nuanced and subtle.
IDK, John Cena is killing it on Peacemaker

Of the three Culkin brothers, Kieran is probably the one I've seen the least on screen (probably only in Scott Pilgrim), but after Hot Ones he's definitely the one I'd most want to hang out and geek out with.

Sean always seems comfortable with his guests but I’ve never seen him THIS comfortable and engaged. It’s like two friends having a conversation. Sean must be a fan. Kiernan seems like such a chill guy I watching him and seeing roman just watching him
I've never heard Sean geek out before or giggle like he did in the episode
It's always awesome to see when people are appreciated for who they are outside of the screen. That's Macaulay, too. They have that same low key cool quality.
I feel he loosens up more when people say they've watched the show, ask him questions or are just excited to be there. Like when there's people who go in saying they didn't know what this show is or are just talking about themselves it's hard for anyone to get too comfortable with those kids of people

I have to admit, though I have watched Hot Ones from the beginning, this ranks as one of my favorites. I didn't even know who Kieran Culkin was when I started watching, but I was impressed. The thing that got me laughing though was when he first came on, he was calm, cool, professional, like he was doing a network tv interview. Mads Mikkelsen could be too hot for these wings 🥵
On a show with some absolutely killer actors he’s easily the most slept on in succession. To show the vulnerability of Roman and then in a split second the fearlessness/reckless nature of him is actually insane.
He’s consistently rated peoples favorite character, so I don’t think he slept on.
Kieran just gained a fan in me. I honestly only knew him as....well, what everybody else knew him as.....but his quick wit, obvious intelligence and relatability made this one fun. Oh, and he smashed those wings. Great episode!
Kieran didn't look like this in any other of his promo interviews! Hot ones continues to make these artists super comfortable and it's honestly refreshing to see
Kieran Culkin is a great guest anywhere cause he has a very important qulaity which is, he is always committing to the bit. Truly delightful to watch. If I weren't already a fan, I'd have become one after watching this episode no doubt.
Those Culkin kids seem like such a cool, friendly lot. It's way too easy to watch them and think, "Yeah, they could totally be my best friend."
I think Kieran is my favorite guest for Hot Ones. He was calm, charming, witty, and he tore through the wings like an absolute champion. He seemed so comfortable and at-home answering the interview questions, and created so much amazing conversation with Sean. Absolutely the #1 guest in my books, and I didn't even know the guy existed until this interview. This is why I love Hot Ones so much.
This is a great episode! Kieran crushed the wings, was genuinely interested in answering Sean's questions, and seemed extremely happy to be there. It seems like him and Sean have been friends for years
Kieran is an absolute beast... Da Bomb only flinched him a little, and then he went out with a double dab at the end like it's nothing. He can hold his head up high as one of the most insanely resistant people on this show.
He even went back for more Da Bomb wing after it was all over just to get back at Sean!
I guess he knows he is a hot sauce guy now.
I love the passion sean gets out of the guests. It goes from interview to friends as soon as he taps into their passion. I love seeing people passionate and excited about their hobbies.
This was one of the best episodes. Kieran asked more questions than Sean did, and going in for three and four bites on each wing! Epic win. And sort of classic competitive Roman Roy move to throw everything back at the antagonist.

One of the most personable and fun interviews yet!!! You know you’ve officially made it as a TH-cam show when your reputation precedes you, and in such an awesome way!
People talk about how humanizing the relaxed Q&A is with most of the guests, which I agree with. But I think it's also worth noting that many of the guests in the last few seasons clearly watch the show on a regular basis for fun, and are often coming on the show because they're fans rather than just as part of a press tour, is also very humanizing.
I really appreciate when a guest clearly has seen previous episodes and knows about Da Bomb and knows that Sean always says it has no flavor. Like they are really fans and not just there for a promotional thing. Good job Kieran. Respect!
The frequent comment of it being called "battery acid" is seared into my brain.
