My favorites together. All the comments like that, I agree! I thank the Lord for both of you. As a mama of 5 without family very close by, and not many other big families that homeschool and (attempt to have a) homestead; I’m so thankful for your channels. Bucket list dream is to hang out with people like you too- bold, honest and real. And I appreciate that you do keep a few things just for yourselves. People who criticize online just have nothing better to do in their own private lives. Keep up the great work ladies. We all appreciate all you teach us and model for us.
Yes, Katie_Mae, I agree! And of course Becky. I am Dutch, and to me it is very interesting to see how those three American women manage their lives. Many greetings from the Netherlands, Enny.
I love Jessica’s channel! It was so fun to see her in an interview setting, as her normal videos aren’t “vlog” style, she is just as peaceful and wise as imagined she would be!
Two of my favorite YT moms! I loved how you guys talked about the strangle of sleeping during the first year. There are some YT moms that seem to have it all under control so it makes us believe there's something very wrong with us when we have issues such as sleep deprivation. However; you guys were realistic and it doesn't make you look like you are worst of a mom than others. On the contrary. Because you embrace the challenges of motherhood, and still are joyful and fulfilled.
Lisa I keep thinking this and it’s high time I said it-you are a great interviewer! You ask great questions and do such a good job featuring and honoring those you choose to have on your podcast. Thanks to you and your guests!!!
Loved this! As a momma of kids your age I instantly was thanking God for giving this next generations mommas like u girls to teach and train kids today. Soooooo proud of you both. Know this you have one older momma praying for all the things I hear between the lines. You are not alone in this battle:-) keep up the good work!
Thanks for your podcasts Lisa. I'm 76 in August and I get a huge kick out of listening to this type of conversation among you young mom's. I follow Jessica and you both as well as Sarah from Our Tribe of many and others. God bless and keep all of you.
I went from cooking for six, sometimes more to cooking for four down to two and now for one- this was very difficult for me as I feel it’s much easier to cook for more lol. But now with tips from both of you- which helps for larger families and smaller families- I do groceries only once a month, have way less food waste, make my own butter, bread and yogurt. I want to thank both of you for helping me find my way to cooking for myself- my husband passed away and it’s taken me a while to even be able to cook again- he was such a fan of my cooking lol- after two years I started to find my way back to cooking and eating better and healthier and I’ve now lost 78 pounds. It’s a whole different way of living, eating and cooking but your tips, videos and just watching your videos has helped immensely! Thank you ❤
Karen thank you for sharing. My condolences of the loss of your husband but way to go for stepping up and finding your way to live. I'm sure your husband would be so proud if you!!
So sorry for the loss of your husband. Good for you for getting back into cooking. I'm sure your hubby is proud of you! I am divorced with grown kids so cooking for one. I like to "bulk" cook when I have time. Like making soup or chili that I can freeze some & also. Bbq, baking, or pan cooking a good amount of meat I can use throughout the week.
So much love to you! Thats really inspiring, what a love story. I love cooking for my Man, he has been noticing how spoiled he is during my .postpartum break. You are worthy of good food and feeling good in your body!
Thank you so much for sharing your story. I am truly sorry for your loss and applaud you for finding your way back and loosing 78 lbs. Good Job! Hopefully this will be an encouragement to others. Keep up the good work!
Hi, I’m Grace from Korea, a mom of four, homeschooling, homemaking, and I also subscribe both of you! It is such a pleasing moment to hear you guys talking! The food that we eat in Korea is quite different from yours but, the idea of making meal plan and making something new out of leftover will help me a lot.:)
Aloha Grace, we are from Hawaii and my husband is half Korean. I have a similar challenge because we eat many Asian types of dishes. Love your idea to use the general concept of meal planning! Also thought it might be helpful to have different types of cuisine to do this pantry challenge and see what people make? Fried rice is a clean out the refrigerator type of dish we do.
I love Three Rivers Homestead and really appreciate your and Jessica’s transparency. Thank you for continuing to create content despite the criticism. It is not for nothing and you are an encouragement for so many of us young mama’s seeking Godly mentors. Having started from ground zero after getting married and having kids, I wouldn’t know many of the homemaking skills I do today without your TH-cam channel. God bless and praying over the arrival of baby number 8.
These last two podcasts have been exactly what I made in my life. Katie from Now That We're a Family and Jessica from Three Rivers homestead are my idols when it comes to having life together, so hearing their tips as well as Lisa's side of the story is a chef's kiss!!!
Was pleasantly surprised to see her coming on! I’m a long time subscriber for both. I’ve be been following you since you were pregnant with Micah and her when she was pregnant with Benji (typical mom to recall this based on what kid they were pregnant with 🤪). Two of my favorite people in this circle!
I’m a fan of you both. I am 65 and have 3 grown daughters. I learn so much from you both and wish we would’ve had the internet, social media in the 90’s when I was a young mom. If only the internet and social media had interesting content like this and not the evil content. My mom passed away when our first baby was 7 months old, however, she wasn’t good at teaching life skills so I had to learn from lots of mistakes, friends or read a book. We don’t homestead and we didn’t homeschool. I was a lousy cook for years - never enjoyed it. But 7 years ago had to change my diet for my health, I had to cook from scratch every meal and found out I love it. We very rarely eat out now. Thank you for your efforts. ❤
I find that when people eat home consistently they will not waste as much…..if you have a habit of eating out, then the home food bought or cooked already can go to waste. I am with you ladies, no waste policy but it takes being diligent and intentional at looking at all those containers in the fridge and keeping them on the top shelf where they can be seen.
I love the both of you! And I’m sorry people say negative things about either of you! I’m just so thankful you each take the time to share little bits of your busy lives as mothers!
Awesome chat session, ladies!! FYI, us older generation (over 60 😀) find encouragement also on your channels!! The house chores still can be tiring, and it's nice to see your tips and encouragement. I can find some joy in housekeeping again. I'm learning sour dough baking as well. Thanks!! 😋 Bought a freeze dryer, but unfortunately, it won't freeze. I'm so disappointed and sending it back. So canning and dehydrating for now!!
You mama’s are amazing❤ I am at the stage of being a grandmother now to teens and preschool. I love watching your channels. It brings such joy to see ladies who embrace the Lord, motherhood, and loving their husbands and children. Thank you both for be a blessing.
I’m thankful for the hard work you moms do here on TH-cam , you’ve taught me a ton of things. Especially how to raise my kids in a natural way. I’m here in California pretending I live on a farm because I watch your channel so much 😂
Y’all always motivate me to get the day started and do my daily chores and garden work. I watch your videos and feel like my work as mom and wife is sooo valuable, sometimes we just need that reminder ❤
Lisa, your podcasts are such a joy and a blessing to me as a new mama! I love homemaking and motherhood, but sometimes it can be really tough...these interviews never fail to bless, uplift and inspire me. Thank you!
Hi Lisa! I loved hearing you guys talk about nursing to sleep and cosleeping. It seems like everyone sleep trains, but it’s not something we want to do, and there’s a lot of pressure to do it. How do you guys handle weaning from breastfeeding? How long do you nurse your babies to sleep?
We have eight too and sleep training seemed almost barbaric and unnatural to me. Most of mine nursed to sleep until around a year but would still wake up for a few sips here and there. As for weaning, each baby is different. I've had them wean as young as 15mos until almost 4. They'll definitely let you know!
My ex-husband used to call it refrigerator freakout & everyone had bits of what they liked from all the different leftovers.. It worked out well & we didn't have waste, plus I didn't have to think of what's for dinner! The refrigerator dump soup sounds good too.
Lovely to see you both chatting together. It's also great to hear the emphasis on motherhood. I'm in the UK so my life is very different to you both but still it is great to follow you both. Thanks 🤗🙏
Thank you Lisa and Jessica. I follow you both and you’re an encouragement to me. I’m a homeschooling mom of 4, I love cooking, canning, baking and preserving. Your content is valuable! May God bless you!
Thank you so much, Ms. Lisa! Ms. Jessica is such a blessing to all of us, Mom’s, and, or grandma’s with more than 1 kid. I recently started following you, because she, Ms. Jessica recommended you. God bless you both!
I was so looking forward to this podcast when you said Jessica would be on. I am a grandmother in my 70s but follow both of you. I love watching how you manage your home.❤
Gosh I love this so much! So inspiring hopefully one day I can share and be like you guys giving hope and teaching to other people and mummas! Keep doing what you are doing you guys are so amazing
Two beautiful intelligent women! My faves, ( your sister too). I love that you have such strength to put your thought out there. I’m too sensitive 🤷😬 keep it up.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌟
Love this episode....two of my favorite youtubers collaborating! Lots of great info and tips!!! One of my other favorite youtubers is Becky from The Season Homestead....would be awesome to see a collab with her as well!!!
With my 3rd i decided to let him nurse to sleep, i mellowed a bit. Jokes on me. He was a 'nursing for business only' kind of guy. Wouldnt fall asleep and would just pop off when done and refuse to continue. He also thrived on a strict schedule and early bedtime...in his own room! while i was ready to do on demand, baby always with me...etc...
Im from a family with 7 kids i am the 6th and i loved cooking and would make dinner once a week. When I got to live with only my husband and our baby i really needed to learn to cook less 😂 we would freeze some left overs and use some for lunch and would eat a week freezermeals. Now we have 4 kids and hardly any leftovers. But when they will fly out over a decade i need to learn to cook for 2 again
Im a mother of 3 and veryyyy bad in sleep training :D I think that Im gotten better in many thinks in motherhood but sleeping is definetily not one of them. I have also breastfed to sleep and for demand at night because Im so tired I cant cope with any kind of sleep training. My 3. baby is 15 months tomorrow and he still wakes up at night (often many times) to feed and then (thank God) goes strainght back to sleep. But thank you for engouragement!

"I know you're not supposed to let them fall asleep while nursing but that's my only trick", truer words have never been said 😂😆😄
DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO! Hang in there. -SANDY-

Yes, Katie_Mae, I agree! And of course Becky. I am Dutch, and to me it is very interesting to see how those three American women manage their lives. Many greetings from the Netherlands, Enny.

Two of my favorite moms ❤
I loved this. I also follow Jessica. Thank you. ❤
So glad!
#1. Husband’s and Children’s needs (attention)
#2. Dinner
The priority when my family was young.
Love watching you both!!
I keep a ice cream bucket in freezer. All leftovers go into bucket and then turned into veggies soup.
Oh wow that’s such a great idea!!!
Great video thank you for sharing ❤
Im a mother of 3 and veryyyy bad in sleep training :D I think that Im gotten better in many thinks in motherhood but sleeping is definetily not one of them. Such a great chat ❤ love following and learning from both of you!
Thanks so much!
I love the reuse the crust or bread ends for waffles or pancakes ... It's a huge problem in our house no one wants crust it's wierd ...
I love making soups from leftovers. It's taken a little practise. I love them. And my family is at least willing to eat them, if not always love them. I love using up stuff. Judy Roth (Susanna's mom)
Thanks for sharing with us!
Love love love it. Thank you
Oh yay, two of my favorites!
Thank you ❤
Yay! Another Pittsburgh mom!!!!
I know of people who dump out the leftovers after every meal. Makes me cringe when it is enough for a few meals or 8 more servings.🤨 like hurry up eat seconds before they are trash. I didn't grow up with that habit we ate leftovers.
Very happy to see my two favorite bloggers and homesteaders together ❤❤
Just two beautiful ladies!
To even think about these two ladies having to deal with trolls, criticism and negativity just frustrates and blows me away. They put so much love and care into providing for their families and putting together content for us to enjoy. I have a feeling that the Negative Nellie’s couldn’t begin to hold their own if compared to either one of them, therefore they criticize. Love you both and anxiously await each of your new releases.
This was a pleasure.
