Hello. How can you replace the black pin if the top (guide cap part) has broken down when applying the 2. method at 3:09? (is there a PartNumber ? I haven't find). it seems it is plastic which ought to be made of steel instead. thank you
I wish you did videos like this without music. Either have the actual sound from the scene or nothing at all. I'd prefer actual sound so I would know if some parts are expected to click or not.
Idk which one is faster, I did it doing the “drop in on the rails” method but looking at a big deployment isn’t it faster to remove them, affix them to the server and then rack in?
TO REMOVE THE RAILS -- From the front (with no server installed of course) just rip the rail out. Once it fully extends, it opens the JHook that's locking it in, and the rail just falls down. Worth noting it WILL FALL down, so don't have a glass of the whiskey you needed while trying to figure this out underneath. Assuming I'm not the only one who expected the "Remove PowerEdge Rails" video to explain HOW TO REMOVE THE POWEREDGE RAILS.
This saved my job with helping me dissassemble a completely different server

Amazing that the old rails cost more on eBay than the rest of the old servers!

1:49 is how the manual instructs you to install the server, whereas 2:51 is how people actually install them
so true lol
Still true two years later...

Hi, how to buy the Rail Rack for PowerEdge R250 1U, not included with the server?
Thanks... your tutorial help-me!!!
I know this is 3 years old but thank you.
Well, major difference with reality is that the man on the video has plenty of space to go around...
