As a kid I absolutely loved this film. And after so many years it still holds up and holds a special place in my heart. It’s only now that I discovered that the late great Sidney Poitier directed this which blows my mind. Here’s to childhood memories, awesome ‘80s choreo and music, and a badass old lady with punk-rock style
Saw this movie as a teenager in late 80s and then again in 1992 when it was again playing in the movie hall(both times). 1st time it was my dad who took us kids, that’s when he told us this is made by legendary actor Sidney Poitier(not many in India cared to know that). I had a cassette/tape of the soundtrack .. in the new CD world I could never find this on CD. RIP Sidney!

I went to watch this movie when it debuted on the big screen in 1985 I was disappointed it didn't receive as much publicity as other dance films like breaking & breaking 2 electric bugaloo that came out around the same time.i thought the choreography was good
Yes I agree it was beautiful and perfect also part 1:30 was perfect and beautiful.Even thou I think the whole show and dancers,choreography and music was the best also
@jojo34209 yea sorry I was just pointing out that it's able to be put on DVD but it's not going to be an official copy. I had meant to reply that to EsRose04 so that person could at least know it could be on DVD.

I was 15....saw it in Calcutta.....NEW empire theater....the best dance flick of all dance....did not get the credit it deserved....it was awesome
