  • Jordan M. (from the popular Jeff and Dave #shorts series) took his shahada in 2017. In this episode of ReRooted, Subboor and Jordan talk about the "New Muslim experience", how his mother found out he was a Muslim by watching an Ali Dawah video and other stories. This episode also entails Jordan's journey to becoming someone who shared Islam after his shahada (embracing Islam) and some of the new Muslim mishaps he's had along the way.

Obedience is a sacred trait of the Muslim faith. The word Islam means “to surrender.”...what free will ?
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) having said:
By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them. : Sahih Muslim 2749------ Allah wants you to be a sinner so he can send you to his hell.
Quran 32:13 Had we willed, we could have given every soul its guidance, but it is already predetermined that I will fill Hell with jinns and humans, all together.
Allah loves the sinners and does not like to give guidance

The hadith you mentioned implies one should never think noble of himself he thinks,'Other people are commiting more sins than him'
Allah will destroy people who think of themselves as noble and better than others just because they're in this dilema that they have never or will never in the future commit any sins.
As Human beings, all of us are destined to falter here or there so you shouldn't loose hope in the mercy of Allah either.
      'Free will'
Don't tell me the western capitalist society or the eastern communism gives you free will.
If someone does so, the idea is quite obnoxious.
You wouldn't have so many depressed individuals coming out of this society due to toxic beauty standards and unexplainable high expectations commiting suicide.
Islam has disciplined our free will and not taken it away from us. That's the reason it's the fastest growing religion in the world right now and you see people like Brother Jordan M reverting to Islam every day.

Salam alaikom wa rahmatullahe wa barakato.
This is information: Why did God Almighty, the Holy, create everything in pairs?
sura 36 Yasin , verse 36 in (Qur’an Wisdom). God Almighty, Wise, All-Knowing proves to us that if (creation = plural) exist, it means that (the Creator = singular) exists. For example: (1 )paradise, (2)hellfire, (1)Proton, (2)Antiproton, (1)soul, (2)body, (1)Laughing, (2)Crying, (1)Angels without Gender, (2)In Earth {[1]}Humans and {[2]}Animals with Gender, {[(1) that Humans have beauty, Knowledgeable and {[(2) Animals have also beauty, Knowledgeable but not such as Humans, like (1)More and (2)Less)]}, (1)Heavens, (2)earth, (1)sun, (2)moon, (1)eating, (2)Drinking, (1)Human, (2)Djinn, (1)man, (2)women, (1)singular, (2 )plural, (1)Friuttree, (2)Normaltree, (1)limit living, (2)unlimited living (forever living), (1)Start, (2)End etc, and The heartbeat is also a pair, it has twice sound, test it, and the pronunciation of the blessed name of our almighty Creator is also double, for example (Al+lah= Allahالله) The sound of the heart and the name of God Almighty are not different, whoever you are, your heart is in the remembrance of God Almighty and thankful. In the Wise Qur'an, Sura 13 Al-Ra'd and verse 4, this interpretation is a summary of the blessed verse: that He almighty His creatures (on earth) are rained over them, it means that His creatures Humans, Animals, plants, are (plural) and water (singular) is for everyone, water comes from the sky and brings the water life to earth, it means that our Creator speaks to us, this is the hand write of our almighty Creator that He is Singular unique, he is one and he is No dependency, and (1)is not needy, like he does not has Father, Mother, Son, Daughter etc and even he did not born and we are (2)Needy to must obey him.
when you eat, you have to chew slowly and you will also breathe more, also takes time, but by drinking you don't have to chew and you can also drink a glass of water in one breath, takes less time, it means that the result of Eating: slowly, chewing, breathing, takes more time = plural, and drinking: no chewing and is fast, normally a glass of water in one breath, takes less time = singular. La ilaha illa Allah Muhammad Rasoolullah. Allahu Akbar. Please refrain from adultery, which is very unclean, the end is nothing but hell. Forgiveness and mercy of God Almighty has border, limits. God Almighty says that one who lives with lust becomes a liar, unbelievers and polytheists. The possibility is believing in God and get married. Get married means: honesty, promise, limits, border.

Piece of advise to my Muslim brothers and sisters: when someone converts to Islam, exchange numbers with them and check up on them. Unfortunately, what happens is everyone gets that warm feeling when someone takes the Shahada (testimony of faith) and they forget about that person soon after. Remember, we are one Umma (community), so look after each other. I love all of you wherever you are in the world and may Allah make life and aakhira (next life) easy for you.

      Masha Allah brother.
The best guidance is Quran .
I think you should start with it in english translation.
And if from the internet or through local mosque you could start learning arabic letters.
As in islam arabic language hold much importance as Quran is in arabic otherwise as bible translated from Hebrew aramaic and many languages it lost its essence and many version became prevalent.
And in salah ( namaz) which is one of the 5 pillar of islam we recite surah(verses) from Quran which is Arabic.
And as I said read Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H biography it help us understand better aspect of islam.
And there is book called" Stories of Prophet "by Ibn Kathir which tells us stories of various Prophet such as Adam,Noah,Abraham,Jacob,Moses ,Jesus etc (Peace be upon them all) which are mention in Quran.
Or you can subscribe Merciful Servant channel on TH-cam it's too good.
And now Ramadan is coming I hope this holy month of Ramadan brings happiness in your life if you want to start fasting you can slowly try this Ramadan.
I know it would be hard for you may Allah give you strength like we born muslims start fasting from childhood slowly slowly but
You could try this year how it fits you.
If you have any muslim friend I think you should take help from him too.

And in the Hadith Allah the Exalted and Almighty has said: 'O Son of Adam, as long as you invoke Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O Son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and you then asked forgiveness from Me, I would forgive you. O Son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the Earth, and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it [too].'

There's no need to change your name unless your name before Islam is inappropriate. So for example if you are named after a pagan God/Goddess or your name has a bad meaning. Otherwise you should keep your name. Islam is in our hearts not in our names.

    • @nibrassAlmarifa

Not absolutely a must to change your name but consider this: if a muslim named Chandra unfortunately died in an accident and no family member claim his body, that poor Chandra will be cremated as a hindu because of his name. That's very sad. And Wisnu is the name of a hindu god 🎃🔥.

Biggest problems as a revert (from a soon to be Muslims perspective):
    1) Telling friends and then slowly changing on you
    2) Hate on said religion in a westernised country
    3) Being a white Muslim and not being accepted as easily by the community
    4) finding love and being accepted by his/her family (hers for me)
    5) getting used to pronunciation (most of us reverts want to get it as perfect as possible)
    6) finding people to offer help and advice (not many good resources online for new Muslims, mostly for people born in Muslim families)
I’m excited for my journey, I’m still at a stage where I’m curious and learning. 10 months ago I started studying all religions and narrowed it down to the ones that reached my heart. Islam has made me feel an unknown warmth in my body when I once decided to ask Allah for guidance and strength. Although I hadn’t taken my Shahada I felt something strange in me. My body went completely warm, I had a burst of energy and the room seemed lighter. This room had no windows and no heaters, nothing that could have changed my body. I believe from that day I was told to follow my learning through and not rush my Shahada. I will one day be Muslim and be one with a pure heart in Allah’s name.

In The Year 325 AD Roman Constantine [Treaty Of Nicaea], Emulated Greek And Roman Mythological Polytheistic Religions.
The Greek Zeus Son Of God, Became Jesus Son Of God.
The Roman Triad Of Juno, Jupiter And Minerva, Became The Trinity Father, Son And Holy Ghost.
Paul [Psychopath Polytheist] And Barnabas [Christian Monotheist], Barnabas Gospel Is Mostly Inline With The Quran.
Whilst Paul Wanted Christianity To Become More Popular Quickly, Thus He Emulated The Greek & Roman Mythological Polytheistic Religions Into The Gospel.
The Proof Is That Even Our Days Of The Weeks And Months Are Of Roman Gods.
The Rabbi's Say That In Torah It Mentions Moses, But Moses Was Their Bringing The Torah, Thus It Is The Prophet Muhammad.
Songs Of Solomon, The Word Muhammadim, The Rabbi's State This Means His Lover.
But King & Prophet [Missing In Torah/Gospel] Cannot Have Unwed Relations.
Thus The Translation Error Of His Lover = Praiseworthy = Muhammad = im = Respect.
Also Both Torah/Gospel State That Abraham The Friend Of God, Was Unwed To Hagar The Egyptian Handmaid.
Once Again The Friend Of God, Cannot Have Unwed Relations.
The Vedas [Monotheistic] Bans In Many Verses All Forms Of Polytheism, But Modern Hindu's Follow The Guru Books, Into Polytheism, With Their Pandits Banning Them From Reading Vedas.
In Many Verses Of Vedas It Mentions The Coming Of Prophet Muhammad.
The Avesta [Zoroastrian Bible] Also Mentions Prophet Muhammad.
Ancient Jews & Christians [Sabaeans Monotheistic Sect] Used To Perform The Hajj At Becca [Now Mecca].
Even Moses Performed The Pilgrimage To Becca [Mecca].
The Polytheists Kingdoms Envied Becca [Mecca] So They Built Replica Kaaba's.
Eventually Over Time, They Captured Becca [Mecca] And Placed 360 Idols Into The Kaaba.
The Polytheists Bared The Jews, Whilst Allowing The Sabaeans [Christian Monotheistic Sect].
The Jews Exiled From Pilgrimage, Make A Replica Kaaba Made From Leather, Religious Scripture Within, With Leather Straps Going Round The Arms Seven Times, Replicating The Seven Circumambulation Of The Kaaba.
Even Birds Circumambulate, The Planets, Stars All Glorify God, For Their Existence.
The Kaaba Was Originally Built By Adam And His Family, But Over Time The Kaaba Has Been Destroyed And Rebuilt.

my parents reverted from orthodox to islam with age of 30/35 …i was 5 years old at that time and saw how they changed their lifestyle. I fell in love with islam, i asked my parents to get me a teacher so i can study arabic. So i learned the tajweed, alphabet, reading and speaking quran with age of 8. I‘m originally from Serbia but it was easy to learn all of that since i was still a kid and my brain just collected all that information like a sponge…at age of 10 we went to Umrah with my family and i spoke in (standard) arabic with the people in mekkah/medina which they were really fascinated about hahaua …but sadly i learned standard arabic…now i‘m almost 19 and try to learn the syrian deer ez zoor dialect because i really like it🌼 I started wearing hijjab with age of 8 because of my love towards islam. Elhamdulillah for the guidance Allah gave my parents❤❤❤❤❤

But SUBHANALLAH. Really, really you guys from iERA and EFDawah etc. Broke this issue by me... I live in the Netherlands and study in Turkey arabic but in Both of my Countries I'm in this case that i want to break this issue down. Any tips?

      @IMGETTINGBORRED 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Aleykum selam brother. I have had the same experience with Muslims in my whole life. I have a similar background as you as I'm also born and raised in a Turkish lower class family in the Netherlands. Like your situation I've had a lot of so called Muslims who believed they were the perfect example of a pious person while their actions were the opposite. Because of all these persons I had developed an aversion against belief in my youth and blamed the religion. Many years later I came to the conclusion (by guidance of the Merciful) that it's the humans that are with error and not the religion. So if you feel like talking and sharing about these issues and rediscovering the true message of Islam you can get in touch with me. I consider myself as a Muslim and a student of Islam by studying the sources and contemplating (using my God given brain). Not just accepting what the person that shouts or hits the hardest is screaming or bullying you into. I came to the realisation that these are also tests by the Merciful and He's going to ask us whether we have used our brains to separate conjecture from the truth. Peace be upon you all.
