Thank you for not pushing fall content in August!! So very much appreciated! Our summer doesn't really start until the end of June, it is short enough as it is! God Bless.
I hate the rushing of the seasons. Personally, I love spring and especially summer. Wish it would never end! I love the sun, the blooms, the long days... 🥰
Hi Melissa, Thank You for sharing this Beautiful video with us. 🥰 I Truly appreciate and agree with You concerning, Enjoying and Appreciating our Present moments, and not rushing those Precious moments. Sweetheart, You found some Nice items, and I think that the little calendar is Adorable, but Please do what makes You Happy. Thank You again, for reminding us to Enjoy the Present. Lord willing, until next time. 🙏🏾 Love In Christ, Paula
Thank you so much! Nice to see all your canning. We love canning as well. Tomorrow, we are making Salsa. Your home is lovely and nice to see your little helper and new baby. You certainly come across some lovely thrift finds. Looking forward to your next video.
I also completely agree with you in not rushing the seasons. Here in the Midwest we are still having high 90's today's temp 100. That isn't fall temp's in my book. Gardens still growing, grass still green, and tree's still green. I think Thanksgiving is the most forgotten time now day's. Here in the Midwest I don't consider it fall till Harvest time. Just like the Pilgrims, were Thankful and Grateful for our bountiful of Harvest. It seems like it's all about Black Friday sales instead of being Thankful for what we do have. So yes, it's still late Summer in the Midwest.😊
Your flowers are beautiful! I love anything hand stitched, the framed stitched piece Is beautiful! I love copper pieces, the warming pot is so sweet.😊 I love copper kettles! The one I have has the blue & white ceramic handle & lid, but i love the wood handles too..i love anything old & made of wood. I want to collect more kettles. I want to decorate the top of my kitchen cabinets with copper kettles, old coffee grinders & old tins, and add in some greenery. Copper is beautiful year round, and especially for fall! Thanks for sharing😊
I want you to know that I’m so glad that you talked about rushing the season of summer. I go into stores and already they are putting out fall decor. Before you know it next month they will have out Christmas. I so happy to hear you say that we need to enjoy the season we are in. I love your videos. ❤
Thank you so much! I remember when stores didn't have Christmas out until after Thanksgiving or right around that time! It's crept earlier and earlier and I feel like each store, influencer, and diyer is trying to beat everyone else to it each year!
I’ve thought of what you said for some years now. I let trying to rush certain seasons of my life get in my way of enjoying those moments . Now I think back and wish I had slowed down and enjoyed them more. Summer is definitely not my favorite season and I’m definitely not a fan of the heat but I did try to enjoy this summer. I didn’t do well 🤣. Take care ~ Janet 😘
I think once we’re older (I am 73) we more appreciate that time is fleeting and we need to hold onto each day just a little tighter. I love the piece of white needlework you found!
Melissa, pardon my ignorance.....can you teach me something. Why did you removed the rings of your jars. Lovely video as usual. Great message of enjoying every minute of every season. Your garden is beautiful
Thank you so much, Sara! Sure, no problem! My mom always taught me to remove the bands from the jars before storing for two reasons: 1) If there is moisture trapped under the band from the canning process it can rust the band making it difficult or undesirable to use in the future. 2) Keeping the band on can give a false impression of the jar being sealed even if it has failed. The seal is strong enough to stay on the jar by itself and if the food goes bad the bacteria inside will create gas which will pop the seal, showing you that it is bad and not to consume it. If you have a band on the jar you may not notice the seal has failed. This is also why it is not recommended to stack canning jars when storing (keep them one layer high). Hope that helps! :-)
@@hymnsandhome 🤯wow that was a whole lesson in canning and food preserving. Thank you so much Melissa, this is why I love TH-cam....you find friendship, mentoring, inspiration and generous people like you. Thank you again and thanks to your mom for teaching you so well!

Love watching your videos😍🥰
Thank you so much, Theresa!
Use the calendar as is, BUT use some Old English dark wood oil on it. Those scuffs will disappear, and it will protect the wood.
Great idea! Thanks for the input!

I love those large jars you use for pickles (with the plastic lid)...where did you find them?
They're from Amazon! :-). amzn.to/3XyvZeJ (affiliate link)

Thanks, my friend! :-)
What are the beautiful pink flowers you gathered?
They are Lisianthus :-)
Is depressing going to the stores that are putting up things for fall. I’m not really for summer to be over. I like to enjoy everything day of summer
