Thanks for the review. I've been enthusiastic for rose-tinted glasses (really magenta) since my first pair of cheap Serengetis I got from Big 5 a while back. I've worn a couple pairs of Maui Jims, which have excellent optical lens quality and rose tinting, but the optical performance of those lenses is non-neutral, and I decided I should look for a better solution for playing my sport. I wore Razor Blades starting when they were first introduced in the mid-80s, and I continued using them until Oakley stopped selling/repairing that type. They were fantastic for eye comfort and protection, but Oakley's later styles became a bit too radical for me for casual wear, so I left the brand behind for a long time. I ordered a pair of these EVZero Blades with Prizm Road tint and I'm looking forward to getting them. Even if a person's sunglass needs are purely for casual comfort, with no technical requirements, rose tinting is still just great. They make everything beautiful and the world feels like a happier place.
Had a different pair with the Prizm Trail lens and they are the real deal. Riding offroad they seemed to highlight contours of the trail...the trail itself would contrast more against the rest of the terrain. I live on Vancouver island, so its really green, lush ,and taking them off everything would appear more washed out in a sea of green with less contrast. It was odd really, alomost like taking the sunglasses off was like putting on a dark grenn sunglass as typically it the tint of cheaper sunglasses that wash away contrast by colouring everything in the same tint, not so with these.
Great review! Been looking for a frameless pair for riding. I found these on eBay for about $100 bucks. I may have to give them a shot. Currently in South Korea looking forward to riding some Han River routes. #RobbArmstrong
