On my second pair, first pair goretex I found on really wet trails they would stay wet, much prefer my second pair also got them in wide non goretex can't fault them after 400k, use first pair on my montian bike with flats, great review by the way
Hey, good video. What would you suggest for a 100kg runner, not looking for outright speed as for me it's more about injury prevention, enjoyment and just completing the course! Thanks in advance
Great review. I have very similar thoughts after wearing mine for 500km. I haven't tried the Mafate 2, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts as to why you prefer it? Cheers, Reuben
I love my Hoka's but I hate the speedboat's. They don't work for me. To nerrow at the toe box and to must cushioning on the forefoot don't have no ground feel. Got more for my buck from the torrents.
Hello mate just a quick question if you don't mind. Really liked the review, i'm using Clifton 7s at the moment and i've recently started running trails, the 7s are okay at the moment when its dry and nice weather but once it rains heavy and turns mucky its proving rather difficult. anyway i'm just wondering which you prefer out of the speedgoat 4 or the mafate evo 2... these are the two i'm torn between but cant really find any comparisons between them just singular reviews. I much prefer the look of the red mafate but very un decided as of yet lol. thanks in advance :D
Dylan Hunter hey I’ve got the Clifton 7s but haven’t started yet. Would only work on firm, buffed out trails, I reckon. I prefer the Mafate 2 for sure. Very similar weight and traction to Speedgoat. But the Mafate 2 feel quicker, more like a running shoe with burly tread, and the upper is more breathable and accommodating to footshape.
Caffeine Trails yeah I only run them when it’s nice and dry lol, which in Glasgow isn’t really very often. Think I’ll go for the mafate 2s then. Thanks very much mate!
Honestly, still in pretty good shape on the outsoles. Mine is entering 200km and they're wearing out. Overall, pretty good shoes.
매일두유 괜히 반갑네요ㅋㅋㅋㅋ It`s really helpful review. Thanks for making this video.

Nice review - thanks man :)
Steve Nash is doing shoe reviews on TH-cam now?
how would you say these would do for just hiking (not trail running)? Looking for max comfort and good grip/stability
Imran Ahmed these do well for hiking IMO. I prefer to hike in trail running shoes and the grip grips.
Hiking probably 1500k, or whenever the grip wears off

Max Green ya I think these are great for bigger/heavier runners. Just maybe don’t run them longer than 4-500k.

Prefer it because it feels a lil faster yet has great grip. That said, I still like the Speedgoat for all around long distance bb
Is there a sizing difference between the SG4 and 3? I've read the 4 is slightly wider and some reviews also said it was slightly longer.
No length size difference in my opinion. A lil wider yes.
im a newbie trail runner wannabee .. planning to buy Speedgoat 4 .. is it good for me? thanks

Did you get any delamination of the toe cap at all?
George Fairfield no my pair is fine but I’ve seen delamination on this colourway on other’s. Disaster!
I have speedgoat 4 and it delaminates only after 50k!
nugraha setya ardi ya this is a manufacturing problem for sure. Bad adhesive.
