- Hey guys! So I wanted to dedicate a video to testing out the art trends that I've noticed around social media in the past year, but have never actually taken the time to try out.
Last time I did this, I tried hydro dipping and it was a complete mess.....literally. This time I am doing acrylic pour, sometimes called pouring art or fluid art. This is a super satisfying form of art that has been trending for the last couple of years. This is also much bigger than a trend, many professional artists use paint pouring as their primary form of art. I must say, this was so fun to try. It's such a creative, relaxing and super satisfying abstract art form. At the same time, it would be easy for someone at any skill level to create. I hope you enjoy watching my test out this trend for the first time!

Hey! my name is Moriah (pronounced muh-rye-yuh 😂 ) and this is my channel....obviously. I'm 25 and like doing anything creative...and being snarky.....just a lil. Sooo looking at the comment section I realize that maybe I didn't follow every "rule" for how to acrylic pour. BUT I had a lot of fun doing this and I am satisfied with the outcome, so that's all that matters right?! 😂 When I'm trying something for the first time, I usually intentionally stay away from watching other people do it for awhile because I want to discover it on my own and maybe even come up with my own methods instead of doing things the exact same way as other people. Sorry if me not doing this the "correct" way is annoying at all for you! 😬

Hey Moriah!
Here are a few tricks for acrylic pour:
1.
When pouring the paint in the cup, choose a base color like white or black. That will make it easier to keep your colors less muddy.
2.
When you choose your base color, put it in between each and every color like:
black, pink black, yellow, black, green, black.
It will give a cool effect and separate the colors a bit.
3.
If you want cells, then when putting your base color in the cup, each base layer you could put 6 drops of the silicone oil.
4.
When using the strainer, for better results, you could get the grey bump facing the top.
Those are my tips!

Here's a tip about Acrylic pouring i'm not sure if you did that but instead of tilting it at the corner . you should instead and move the board around in a circular motion and tilt it for it to spread around and have a better effect. Also Ive learned so much from you as a very young artist. You always brighten my day and I'm always watching ur videos 24/7. This may be the funniest video I've ever watched on TH-cam. The entire thing was an exact replica of MY testing this trend I 'missed', step after step, opinion after opinion, word for word! LOLLL The smooshed ones came out amazing, as did mine, also at the end of my rope, and my lamenting the enormous waste of paint....this was NOT for me. I could not stop grinning and snickering at this, omg.

Thoughts!! Yes!! You should paint/draw single line art images of your characters like Pickle and Dirp on the acrylic pours...use black for the light colored ones and white for the dark colored ones... then scan them and have them created into dye sublimated pillows..yeah that's what you should do...and the three that were dipped into puddles (which are amazing!!!) you should have made into textiles. They would be perfect and beautiful as a spaghetti string strapped low-cut, long length, light and flowey dress and you'd make millions on them selling to Target or someone in France. Yep!!! Thats a good one for "fixing things I've ruined" series😂 although they're in no way ruined. My Dad and i absolutely love binging your episodes. You are a gift from heaven. Thank you!!

Hey quick reminder to take care of yourself and don't push yourself to do art and TH-cam to the point you get tired, stressed, and insecure about your work. We want to see your work and you to be happy.
The colours mixing and causing a brownish colour is because of how you layered your paints, you directly put all the colours in the cup one after another, to prevent colours mixing add a little bit of white pouring paint between the individual colours. Trust me this helps a lot ☺️💖

Here’s a few tips that I’ve learned from watching Paint Pouring videos:
1. Before you pour the paint, you should paint the base of your canvas (or whatever you’re painting), with a white paint. Just a thin layer, and make sure it’s still wet when you are about to pour the paint. I believe it makes the paint spread faster, and prevents colors from mixing.
2. Don’t do what I call, “worming”, which is when you pour paint the paint onto the canvas, but then you run out of room in a row, and you still want to add more paint, you eventually create like a snake/worm. (Think of it like the Google Snake Game), instead you should slowly spiral the paint into small coils, it's just easier to create those “Apple Wall-Paper Backgrounds” that way.
Those are all the tips I have, hopefully you’ll do this sometime in the future (Can’t wait to see it then), but overall, I really liked the pieces of art you made using this technique, so overall, good job. :)

I have a tip for the color scheme, Moriah. If you do this another time, do cool colors with cool colors, and warm colors with warm colors.

Here are just some tips (not hate just advice):
1. The reason why the paint gets muddy is that you mix the paint in the cup, which is not what you're supposed to do.
2.Also the reason why there was not enough paint was because once you pour the paint in the canvas you are supposed to spread it around as much a possible, then, add white around it.
I hope you try this again using everybody's tips :)
