The collab I've never asked for! What a great video, I've been loving both of you for years now and seeing this "newbie" approach to both sides of the video was really entertaining and instructive!
This is one of my favourite videos ever. Jaws is the absolute nicest dude, maybe only second to Rob and I just felt like this video was absolutely magical! Watching him pick it all up so quick was amazing to watch and then seeing you guys skate at the end was so awesome. Thanks for the video guys!
That was hands down the best video I've seen in a long long time. Extremely well edited, going back an forth between teaching each other the different skills shown in the most wholesome manner imaginable.
Jaws seems like such a nice guy he didn't even blink when the guy pulled out the Rollerblades, lol!, and yes he's done the biggest skateboard jumps (gaps) ever almost superhuman strength, flexibility and focus required, I'm sure he could get great at guitar too.
Rob seemed like a natural on a board, to the point that at first I wasn't sure I believed it was his first time 🤣 would be cool to see rollerblading make a comeback, you don't see many bladers these days
@@Nobody-gm3xq I am mocking TH-cam's selective censorship (and lack thereof) of content that is not true. What is not true is what happens at 2:07 "I am a stranger to the board". Pleas note, Rob is a cool dude, with many talents. My comment was not directed as a negative toward him, but toward TH-cam actions.
@@TheAnimeist I learned to ollie like 10 years ago. Haven't picked up a board since then. I would also consider myself a "stranger to the board". I don't think there was anything disingenuous or dishonest whatsoever about anything in this video. That's like saying Jaws is a liar for saying he doesn't know anything about instruments because he plays the jaw harp. Also, since when was lying against TH-cam policy? Hyperbole is now something we should be censoring?
this is sick, as a skateboarder and a guitar player this is the best of both worlds. really sick to see jaws pick up the 8 string and get going as quick as he did. also super sick seeing rob hop on the board and just learn as much as he did. incredible video!
I was surprised at how fast he picked up rhythms! That metal part was pretty tight already for someone who has never touched a guitar. Very impressive. I've been teaching guitar for 20 years and that's a clear sign of someone with some talent right there. ;) Great video Rob.
This is such a transcendence of worlds for me… when I was younger and before I got into guitar I was super into skating and jaws was always my favorite skater, and to see him pop up here was super surreal. Love this so much
That has to be such a good feeling going from teaching, to learning, and then something your comfortable with. My favorite scene was of Rob and Jaws going side by side on blades and board. Put a real genuine smile on my face guys!
Such a wholesome video man, I'm rarely this much in awe, and this impressed to drop a comment like this, but I'm really proud of you and the direction your TH-cam channel has taken, keep up the good work!
I'm here for this friendship! Any time I get the pure joy of watching two beautiful humans teaching each other not only a new skill but also their passion I feel magic and joy vibrate through them into my soul. Simply put they inspire me. Thank you for sharing!
the editing on this video is simply amazing, the back and forth lessons really show the best of this project. I noticed that sometimes the clips on the skateboard track would sync with the music, that was perfect! props to the editor team :)
This is the most wholesome video on the internet. (this week anyway!) Rob's pure joy of teaching music to someone just radiates from this whole production. His big ridiculous grin while on the drums is itself inspiring. That level of enjoyment is what everyone aspires to! The whole juxtaposition of each of them teaching the other their skill with the music as the backdrop was pure video genius. Well done everyone - mad props to you all!
I mean I definitely feel it. I’d say I’ve got decent natural sense of rhythm and I’ve always wanted to learn how to skate, just never have had anywhere flat and smooth to learn on where I live. It’s just all bumpy roads and the parts that are smooth are just covered in pebbles. Maybe one day I’ll move somewhere where I can learn to skate.
Part of the reason I love snowboarding is cause it allows me kind of getting a rhythm going and reach a "flow state". Even though it relies on me first to be focused and tight or loose as I want it can still be an experience shared with shared with friends kinda playing off eachother others styles and teaching eachother just like music
The reason I mentioned this is because I did skating when I was younger and am now a guitar player, I've always loved music when doing any kind of activities! it was just a weird shower thought of sorts. It's completely anecdotal and I understand there's no actual science behind it!
One of my buddies was into hockey but he got too many concussions and had to give it up. I was in a band at the time and handed him a bass and he picked it up really fast and locked into the drums real good. I think that's an excellent observation.
I have skated and made music for the last 20 years and I think for me the big thing they have in common is that you can do them both alone and with people. Like it doesn’t really matter what head space you are in, you can always find a way to fit them into your life
I don't normally "like" or comment on videos but absolutely love this style of video. It's like youre watching two things at the same time, you hear the music Aaron is trying to play while you see Rob trying to skate.
Dude Rob is so freaking good at everything he does I swear 😆 the willingness to learn and work hard is so awesome to watch. I love this series and hope this continues!!
I’d never been fond of skating (Im clumsy and too cowardly to try anything that involves active sports) but just seeing you rock around with Jaws was so heartwarming! I see why people love doing this now, I’m even curious to finally try it out myself 😂 Not to mention the music you made, especially the tribute at the end. It was so fascinating to watch you go as it played. Beautifully played and wonderfully edited!
Yooo. First off I love everything about this video. Secondly props to Jaws for playing as well as he did his first time and on an 8 string and at 12:46 he had some real groove forming. It took me so much longer than I'd like to admit to come up with and play a simple metal riff like that. (Mostly because I didn't learn anything but bits of songs here and there and for the first year or 2 of learning to play I just tried writing amd forming my own "music" if you can call some of it that lol and 3rd props to Rob for his commitment to dropping in on the quarter like he did. Y'all are both like some of the most chill, friendly and nice people in y'all's worlds and this video was just a perfect collab that I never would've seen coming and didn't knoe I needed until now. Truly one of the best yt videos I've watched in recent years. And forgot to say, Rob you killed it on the inlines, never would've guessed you had that in you and it was so a pleasant surprise near the end

Combining two of my favorite things in this video, but then seeing you can aggressive skate like a mad man added a third to the the list. I love everything about this, thank you Rob.

The collab I've never asked for! What a great video, I've been loving both of you for years now and seeing this "newbie" approach to both sides of the video was really entertaining and instructive!
What the heck??? How good are you on rollerblades?!??!?! That's insane Rob, great job!!!!
This is a fantastic video!
The part when you were skating together was so sweet
That was hands down the best video I've seen in a long long time. Extremely well edited, going back an forth between teaching each other the different skills shown in the most wholesome manner imaginable.
Don't stop making these, I was smiling the whole time just seeing two dudes have a genuine time learning new sills.
5:45 made me chuckle a bit. You can tell he was super focused on what he was doing. And then Rob came in. Lol
I'm surprised TH-cam has not censored this video, since it perpetuates an obvious lie.
@@TheAnimeist what?
@@Nobody-gm3xq I am mocking TH-cam's selective censorship (and lack thereof) of content that is not true. What is not true is what happens at 2:07 "I am a stranger to the board".
Pleas note, Rob is a cool dude, with many talents. My comment was not directed as a negative toward him, but toward TH-cam actions.
Rob clearly has spent time learning how to ollie in the past. He already had hours, if not days of experience doing ollies on a skateboard.
This is so incredible. I love to see someone who's been doing youtube forever still manage to kill it and reach new creative hieghts.
this is sick, as a skateboarder and a guitar player this is the best of both worlds. really sick to see jaws pick up the 8 string and get going as quick as he did. also super sick seeing rob hop on the board and just learn as much as he did. incredible video!
That performance of Center Well was surprisingly emotional, haha. Rest in Peace, Jonas.
I love this. Seeing each other progress and being proud of each other. This is fucking awesome content it makes me happy to watch 💙
That ending montage with Jaws on skateboard and Rob on rollerblades was sick af
I'm here for this friendship! Any time I get the pure joy of watching two beautiful humans teaching each other not only a new skill but also their passion I feel magic and joy vibrate through them into my soul. Simply put they inspire me. Thank you for sharing!
Dude that fishbrain in the bowl was fire. Nice to see someone else who still rides blades.
the editing on this video is simply amazing, the back and forth lessons really show the best of this project.
I️ can’t believe this is two of my favorite people coming together out of nowhere! I️ love this because I️ am part of both communities
lmao same, wtf is this combo. and that guy can definitely blade
Fucking CoMmUnItIeS
Raises an interesting question of whether humans that show natural rhythm are drawn to endeavours such as skating, rollerblading, extreme sports etc.
13:19 Jaws's already got better right wrist motion than most beginners.
When Aaron starts with the rollerblades and the music in the background as well it's just so chaotic I LOVE IT!!
This, for me, is perhaps the greatest TH-cam video ever made. Guitars and skating together at last!
That last scene/sequence was so wholesome. I love the positive energy
Dude Rob is so freaking good at everything he does I swear 😆 the willingness to learn and work hard is so awesome to watch. I love this series and hope this continues!!
this is honestly the most entertaining and fantastic video I've seen on TH-cam this year not even going to lie.
Starting out on an 8-string is also one of my goals, what a coincidence.
Magical video...RIP Jonas
I’d never been fond of skating (Im clumsy and too cowardly to try anything that involves active sports) but just seeing you rock around with Jaws was so heartwarming! I see why people love doing this now, I’m even curious to finally try it out myself 😂
Not to mention the music you made, especially the tribute at the end.
When jaws strums that first chord, I'm like ok play Anchor lol
Lifelong musician here. I recently discovered your channel, Rob and I've rarely come across anything that captures the joy music brings better than videos like this one. Got me a bit choked up even. Thanks and I look forward to watching more.
What a brilliant video, Rob! ❤️ Absolutely loved the content, editing and the wholesome energy. It was soooo cool to see you both skating around so well too. And especially the 6 minute chug song was hilarious 😂 Also, RIP Jonas, i was shocked to hear of his passing.
Combining two of my favorite things in this video, but then seeing you can aggressive skate like a mad man added a third to the the list. I love everything about this, thank you Rob.
This video was great, I love how the two learning experiences are overlaid, A series where you teach people guitar and people teach you their skills would be really cool. Wouldn't be surprised if this ended up in tom scott's newsletter
Best collab I’ve seen in my whole life, I love and respect both of these guys so much this is like a dream come true
Este video es super tierno, es divertido ver como aprenden y se enseñan mutuamente. Gracias por llegar a nuestras vidas Rob.
Lovely video, lovely channel! Man, what you do for blading indirectly and directly is so amazing! Didn´t know you could skate that good! To be honest, I didn´t know your channel at all! Great to see your interaction with the Braille guys! Big big holla from Brazil, from a now subscriber and admirer! Keep up the excellent work and the amazing vibe! You´re the man Rob! Cheers!
So cool. This video filled me so much nostalgia. Both as a 🎶 musician 🎵 and as a skater 🛹 and huge fan of Jaws! Epico! Giving him an 8 string was genius. Somehow almost teared up when Aaron was so cool with those kids, the autographs and photos. Those kids will never forget that.
Great welcome from Hungary, Jaws! Loved what you did and that you introduced mouth harp to the world.
Rob the fact that you Ollie’d pretty much first try just amazes me so much
I just started binging your channel and I dig the content that you provide. Lots of fun videos for musicians as well as informative and fun entertainment. I appreciate your work!
how fast this guy picked up what he did is actually super impressive
The amount of wholesome energy radiating off this video gives me so much life!
