Two things you forgot to mention. 1. The reason why DJ Octavio stays in his octo form is to conserve ink. Inklings and Octolings, as they get older, have a harder and harder time producing their own ink. However, you can slow this process down by just staying in your squid/octo form respectively. This is most likely why, despite both Octavio and Cuttlefish assumingly being the same age, Octavio is able to make his own ink and move around a lot easier compared to Cuttlefish. However, there is not any evidence that states that this is the case, but rather assumptions/theories made by the fans based off of what they see, so take that if you will. 2. It's theorized that Lil Judd is running Grizco after the events of Alterna. One piece of evidence is that Lil Judd gets an earpiece after you beat the main story of Splatoon 3 and the bear eating a fish statue is replaced by a fish eating a bear. Another piece of evidence is actually within TableTurf. You can actually battle Lil Judd if you reach a high enough level, and once you do, his deck is EXCLUSIVELY just Salmonid cards, possibly hinting that Judd is involved with the Salmonids to some degree. Maybe through Grizzco?

I have a theory of how/why the Splatfest fax machine “receives signals transmitted to earth” Ark Polaris was part of a series of spaceships designed to save humanity and sustain it until a new habitable planet was found. The fax machine was originally built to establish long distance communication with human survivors in alterna and the underground domes. Ark Polaris was the last one to launch from earth, and due to technical issues in the Outer solar system it had to return to earth to repair, but it’s propulsion mechanism stopped working before Polaris reentered Earth(it doesn’t make sense that a spaceship that had to travel for more than 4 light years would Tun out of fuel so soon unless the fuel tanks were damaged). The surviving human ships found a habitable planet not too far away from the solar system(might even be as “close” as the Alpha centauri system) and after a few hundred years, have recovered to a point where extinction isn’t a threat anymore. At this point, an attempt was made to communicate with the survivors on earth through the fax machine, however, no response is received, so the human survivors on the new planet create a probe and send it to earth to find any human survivors, ofc the probe returns with evidence of humanity’s demise on earth. So the humans begin constructing a series of “stealth” probes to monitor the earth to document any future evolution of the earth. Achieving fast communication over such distances takes a few decades. But the probes are finally placed around earth. The human survivors spend the next few thousand years terraforming their new planet to make it fully habitable, constructing a Dyson swarm to prevent any energy issues and thus prevent more wars, and mastering space travel. My theory for why Callie and Marie is the last splatfest in Splatoon is because in a sunken scroll you see the skeletal remains of human with their Wii U and a plain disc (most likely supposed to be Splatoon) which means that the Splatoon game actually exists in that timeline, and that’s why the printer printed out Callie and Marie. Theory 2 is that the printer just printed out some models that coincidentally had Callie and Marie’s names.

The splatoon 3 hero mode really blows me away. With TWO unexpected plot twists!! Just absolutely an amazing journey, and it took many many hours, It felt like a video game story of its own and really ramps up my value of this game! I love splatoon!!!

I know the Splatoon series had lore but this is amazing how much world building there is! Regarding the lore, the one part I wish we will eventually understand is the Salmonids. Apart from the Inkling, octoling and human lore, we don't know a lot about the Salmonids.

also for eight i really like how their color is pinkish. the entire game pink has been the enemies' color. it kinda shows that like, "hey, you might have been our enemy but like, your cool now" because in oe the good guys' color is pink.

My theory about how Splatfests work is actually quite simple: inklings do not speak human language. The printer could be rattling off anything, but the inklings just approximate it to whatever the symbols look like in their language- or maybe they even have a "translation" program that is ultimately inaccurate. Other theory: the Callie vs Marie prompt was literally about which name was better
my theory for little buddy flying in the end section of Alterna is that eating all the fuzzy ooze (which was made with golden eggs) maybe could have given him the ability to do more than other every other small fry. Is there any confirmed use for golden eggs that would make them so precious to salmonids? Like maybe it makes them stronger or something to that extent.
The events regarding Salmon Run/Big Run now is even more unsettling since the Chill Season is right around the corner, this would be very interesting once it's here.

9:35 I saw an interesting theory (from the french youtuber Captain Hype) saying that the inkling maybe managed to prevent the male octolings to use their humanoid form (or even worse because Ocatvio is the only male octoling having a true octopus form and not just beeing a tentacle). It looks like at that time, they could only use weapons in their humanoid form and maybe that only male octolings were fighting. After the great turf war, Octavio formed and brainwashed the female octolings to fight and created weapons that could be used even for someone not having a humanoid form. In the video, he also drew a parellel between the second world war and the great turf war, and the similarities he pointed were really disturbing.

The splatoon 3 hero mode really blows me away. With TWO unexpected plot twists!! Just absolutely an amazing journey, and it took many many hours, It felt like a video game story of its own and really ramps up my value of this game! I love splatoon!!!
This really helped me out, Splatoon isn't my kind of gameplay but a friend is getting into it so this was just perfect to learn the lore and should help me connect more. Thanks so much!

I know the Splatoon series had lore but this is amazing how much world building there is!
Regarding the lore, the one part I wish we will eventually understand is the Salmonids. Apart from the Inkling, octoling and human lore, we don't know a lot about the Salmonids.

one thing is still not clear to me though: at the start of octo expansion, agent 3 disappears after being attacked by what was probably one of tartar's underlings/machines. then much later, he comes back and saves agent 4 and cuttlefish from being turned into a smoothie. and after that he gets brainwashed by tartar. but what happened between agent 3 disappearing and him appearing again to destroy the blender? is this ever explained?

My theory about how Splatfests work is actually quite simple: inklings do not speak human language. The printer could be rattling off anything, but the inklings just approximate it to whatever the symbols look like in their language- or maybe they even have a "translation" program that is ultimately inaccurate. Other theory: the Callie vs Marie prompt was literally about which name was better
the entire part in the middle of 1 and 2 is the best thing i have ever heard
my theory for little buddy flying in the end section of Alterna is that eating all the fuzzy ooze (which was made with golden eggs) maybe could have given him the ability to do more than other every other small fry. Is there any confirmed use for golden eggs that would make them so precious to salmonids? Like maybe it makes them stronger or something to that extent.

9:35 I saw an interesting theory (from the french youtuber Captain Hype) saying that the inkling maybe managed to prevent the male octolings to use their humanoid form (or even worse because Ocatvio is the only male octoling having a true octopus form and not just beeing a tentacle). It looks like at that time, they could only use weapons in their humanoid form and maybe that only male octolings were fighting. After the great turf war, Octavio formed and brainwashed the female octolings to fight and created weapons that could be used even for someone not having a humanoid form. In the video, he also drew a parellel between the second world war and the great turf war, and the similarities he pointed were really disturbing.

In the UK version of the splatoon 1 final splatfest callie gets very upset cause of the lost. So for me who played the uk version it kinda feels weird about callie not caring cause it wasn't even hinted that she cared its flat out stated she did. Just weird localisation I guess lol
Our localisation was always better. Closer to the original Japanese and less of the weirdness. Tragic they didn't do it again in Splatoon 2.
