    These days they don't make good hedge shears any more. Many have blade head that is too wide and thick making the whole thing unnecessarily heavier and oftentimes not longer enough making it difficult to apply force. Some silly hedge shears even have curved blade edges, making it impossible to sharpen. Some bend the blades of the damn things making it harder to apply good force. I love my old craftsman hedge shears that I bought 10 years ago, but it is no longer available. They replaced it with something more fancy but far worse.
