After a busy and stressful day many evenings I will watch your paintings as a therapeutic technique to relax for sleep. Sometimes I re-watch paintings because I run out of new pieces of work. By the way sometimes gravity seems to be stronger on some days and better on other days. Your paintings and descriptions are thankfully relaxing. Keep up the good work.
I was just watching this. Love painting the black canvas. Very very well done. Curious where ypu bought your ease? I need a ew sturdy easel. l@KayleeRakowskiArt
I love it, thank you so much! The black canvases are very gratifying personally, their spark comes while they dry and the colors just settle in to the dark background. Mesmerizing!
I drop my brushes every time I paint. Maybe even twice in one session. It just means u have a loose hand, which is good, better for painting loose. This is beautiful.! 💜🦋🎨
Just started watching and wanted to complement you on how your production quality has improved. There is a big difference in this video vs. your earlier ones. You seem much more confident and natural now.
Thanks 👍 I love the easel, I am thinking about making a short video about it! Super sturdy and adjustable. It's also quite large so you definitely need a bit of space
Hey Kaylee, I'm just watching your video, and noticed that you can visibly see the stretcher bar in the back. if you slip a piece of Bristol board the same size as the back of your painting between the wood and your canvas, it will eliminate being able to see the stretcher bar imprint. I'm a huge fan. love your paintings, not to mention you are gorgeous. I'm a wet on wet painter as well. ❤
Would you indicating me what is the size of your canvas please! I am just discovering you today, and the tone of voice is plaisant to hear! I will watch you and follow you by subscribing to your channel! You are a fantastic painter with humility and I love that! 😊 from Quebec in Canada 🇨🇦
Thank you for your support! I am very regularly painting on an 18"x24" canvas. Pre stretched and 10oz primed - I like my canvas with a little rougher texture too, makes for some beautiful mountains
I see you're in your blue period (hahaha!). Love the mountains in the background. Are the real ones that jagged? Looks they can be one hell of a climb. I enjoyed the sand portion where the water hits the beach. With the black canvas a person can do twilight/night scenes without having to spend a lot of time painting the background dark (in my non-expert opinion on night scenes). I noticed you easel brand is BEST (not that I'm even a discerning easel expert). Saw the cost and if this is top of the line, the easel should last many years.
Haha love it, thank you - this was largely based off of a mountain range in Iceland, though I am not certain which. It is a place I hope to go sometime.
Hi Kaylee your work is still amazing I hate to bother you but I am curious that when you look away before you start to paint you look to your right, are you looking at the tv screen or are you looking at a draft you drew? If you are using'the draft that you drew how long does it take to use,so how long does it take you think then then draft it before you even start to paint
Hey! Great question and thank you! I usually am looking at my sketch :) I draw it out with pen and paper or sharpie sometimes haha I just sketch it to confirm the order of steps, then off I go! I think I’ll spend maybe 10 minutes making the sketch.
Haha yes it's a constant problem. I used to try to catch them-- then punched a hole right in the canvas with the end of a fan brush. Ooooops. Now I just let them fall! (If I can) 💪😂

I'm wondering what you do with your paintings...an exhibit perhaps? I like all the ones I've seen so far. I'm still fascinated with your hair...it must require a lot of maintenance. Do you ever wear it down for a few days?
I do! I display a lot of them locally in Salt Lake City. During the summer I travel around to festivals to display and sell. I have a traveling gallery you could call it. Thank you for your support!

First time seeing this black canvas painting and I am amazed how you did this. I could see myself in the scene even before you finished.

Fantastic painting as always, going to try this one at the weekend , ❤

That's an awesome easel! And that water looks great. Better than I could do.

@@KayleeRakowskiArt I saw it in a art supply store. It's BIG.
@@MCATRealEstatePhotography so far... it's been 100% worth every penny. Not cheap. That's for sure.
@@MCATRealEstatePhotography rather giant I must admit. I haven't even tried a large canvas in it yet, but I'm positive it'll be very accepting of it
@@KayleeRakowskiArt Is it on wheels or can you lock it in place so it doesn't move?
beautiful, great tutorial🥶🥶😃
Thank you, Ed! And thank you for your donations this month, I really appreciate you

Hey thanks! I usually wet the canvas with water and didn't this time for some reason. Great idea! Thanks!

fantastic painting madame !;) got a question, do you use kind of refference or is that coming right out of your mind at that moment ?
Thank you sir! This painting was inspired by a photo of Iceland I found online. It sparked my eye so I had to give it a go
Love your videos, I'm not a painter but your soo much easier to watch , because your more like regular people then Ross
Thank you :) I'm glad you enjoy watching
