Yo, these last few videos you've put up have been fantastic. Your dive into modular emulators was a huge help for getting closer to the "minimal sound", and this mixing video was timed perfectly. Feels like you're upping your game bro, good shit keep it coming!
Just bingewatched a bunch of your videos, and they're all great. Thanks a lot for this stuff. Just one point of constructive feedback: there's a very big volume difference between the parts where you speak and the parts with music, which makes me reach for that volume fader - so maybe it needs a compressor ;-)
Thank you very much for your kind words and your constructive feedback I'm always looking for ways to improve thanks a lot. Yes, I agree with you, sometimes It's a bit a challenge to level both and yes currently I use a very basic editing tool that doesn't allow me too much audio editing like volume automation or even inserting effects like a compressor. Also some Audio ducking would be nice like a sidechain: when I speak the volume of the music drops like you hear in the radio... But yeah I might will update soon some tools :-) thanks
great video, dude! I know it might be a bit much to ask, but would you possibly tell me how to get the kick sample you used for this heavy track? It would help me a lot to hear the kick solo to use the right samples in the future :) Choosing the "right" samples is half the battle, right? ;) Thanks for the top video, it has shown me many important points again - keep up the good work!
Hey Michael. It's actually not a sample but a part of my ro-minimal drum machine which the kick is made with ableton's operator. I think you just got this device now... ;-) Hope this helps, it's really adjustable. cheers
this is gold. thank *YOU*. do you have any panning suggestions? is it a waste or overkill to copy an instrument twice or even three times and pan them differently?
So your goal would be to make that sound wider sounding, right? You can test it, but in general I would say, yes it's a waste in order of space, it might could sound too cluttered. The thing would be different if you would use different settings on the synth or whatever. in recording guitar for example, they often use that trick of playing the same part a couple of times and then pan those a bit differently. I would rather work with some delays maybe or better, reverb or ableton's echo stock plugin, or very simple: Ableton's Utility and then using the width setting. Also for panning suggestions, I tend to think in different areas: Center / off center / hard left / hard right / in between "off center and hard's". I don't know if you're on my email list, but i go in depth exactly this topic in a couple of free emails if you download the 7 step checklist.
Hey man thanks for your input, pls check the last weeks video. there you can see the sub bass creation. I don't remember if it was also the kick in there. but can for sure make more videos that explain more in detail such things, thanks man.
Hi mate ! Really nice video, as always. I have two questions : 1. Would you have a social mec (facebook, instagram) which we could talk for more private questions rather than TH-cam comments section ? 2. When you use instant haus, is it possible to record the audio of individual instrument of the rack ? I don’t know how to do it, I hope it’s doable especially to mix kicks hats and stuff individually later on rather than a whole audio track with everything
Hey buddy, thanks for your input. I consider to do some kind of private group or so in the future, if this is what you meant? Question two: for instant haus, you can do so, you can "open" the device in the session view then every track is individually there like in a group and you can put effects and stuff into every track. (but it's sill not bounced to audio) - as an alternative you can also click on one of those channels, and then use the submenue: "extract chain" than it takes it out of that group and puts it into a separate one but you also need to copy the device as i remember it correctly. It's a bit a pain to work like this, so I always use it like described in the first example and put just effects on the tracks rather than extracting them. hope this helps a little bit.
Great informative video, thank you so much for doing it man, youre great
Thanks a lot my friend, glad it helps!

Thanks bro!
Love it!! Great explanations and good note about the compressor makeup matching the volume lost due to compression.
Thanks, glad it helped! all the best buddy
did you ever released this example track? loved the atmosphere there, bomb
Hey man thanks a lot for your kind feedback. Honestly, almost everythinf on my channel is unreleased stuff

Could you Show US how you created the Kick and the sub and MID Bass Sounds pretty nasty!
Thanks the Inspiration
