2:00 that violin committed suicide after Eddie called it a viola !
Lol😂😂 so true
😢😂😂😂
He was like WTF 🤣🤣🤣🤣( the violin)
the Violin: ''Am I a joke to you?''
I'm traumatized...
The violin jumpscare doesn't get less scary
It got me every. single. time 🥲
got me at the end, thought they weren't gonna use it anymore and i flinched 😭💀
thank goodness I wasn't the only one thinking that
the way i gasped when the cake one suddenly broke 😭⁉️
I flinched so hard.
Same, but also every other time they played that clip
@@natepultorakmusic928 SAME. SAME. SAME.
❤
I flinched every single time they played that clip☠️
7:28 It sounds like a normal violin being played back through a cheap phone speaker.
I was thinking like an old-timey recording.
me listening to it through my cheap phone speakers. 😯
It reminds me a lot of a folk instrument known as a bowed psaltery
lmao exactly what i thought
I certainly agree 100%
I love how the tailpiece just exploded as Brett was talking about how they couldn't tune the violins
A very Twoset moment 1:58😂 If the camera or the mic is safe in this video, that means something else needs to be sacrificed😂
This is so true 😂
Wait…how do you comment 1 hr before it is uploaded???
frfrfr
@@GhostieMusic I most definitely didn't lol
Their soul has been sacrificed.
The violin with the amplifying horn is called a Stroh Violin that was invented around 1900 for theater orchestras, especially those that accompanied silent films, since they were really able to project their sound when compared to a normal violin.
In the late 1970:s I was on a concert with a Romanian group playing folk music. They had a violin like that in the band. I guess it was to project through the sound from rest of the band..
@@altoclef6688 I've seen Romanian buskers playing them in Scotland on several occasions; they can be quite loud.
No it wasn't, it was made for band musicians to perform on the street (where they'd need directional volume) and recording due to old cylinder recordings being very dependant on directional sound to a cone (the violin notably having a very roomy non directional sound)
5:04 he is playing like he didn’t just break a violin💀
ikr I was like are you kidding me did you not learn your lesson
you know the video is good when it starts with weird brett and eddy noises
The cake violin is a paid actor
The Self-destructing violin is truly the most exotic one
went from exotic to extinct 😔
@@DragonTrt noooooo 😭😭😭
This exact thing happened to one of the Berlin Philharmonic's cellists a few years ago, Solene Kermarrec. The video is actually the first post on Die 12 Cellisten's Instagram account right now. Tailpiece, bridge, strings all fell off in the middle of the performance. Pretty bonkers. She just calmly walked off stage at an opportune moment.
I LOVE HOW THE VIOLIN STRINGS EXPLODED LOL 1:57
it exploded the moment I read your comment 😂
@@mocchilla SAME!
The silence😂
I think it took “Everything can be a weapon” too seriously.
it exploded after saying viola
Why did they keep puting the cake violin breaking as the segment change 😭 it scared me so bad every time! Amazing collection, I'm so glad you got to share it with us.
I, for one, appreciate editor-san returning to Comic Sans production values. Sometimes less is more. And there are many more opportunities for sick burns.
Yes! It's fun when Editor-san roasts Twoset. I had to go back each time, misses them all the time.
The "weh!" duck sound gets me every time.
agreed! I feel like their recent videos have gotten a lot better now bc it feels more like their older style
It's nice twoset has calmed down their editing again. I felt like I was watching Japanese tv for a while there. Which is fine for some situations, it just made it hard to focus on the actual content.
Agree. I do really prefer the calmer editing and think it gives more charm to Brett and Eddy. It looks like there's multiple editors that cycle through, and the one who does "on the field" videos (their Queen Elisabeth vlog, the Taiwan game with the fans, etc.) has more reservation and timing - while still bringing out humor.
yeah, I feel like their videos have gotten a lot better now because of that. It's quite nice to see editor-san-like editing again
I just love how Brett is busy giving each violin a nickname, like a little girl who just got a new doll😂 Thanks for introducing us to these amazing collections!
I know right, its soooo cute 🥺
2:21 the "oh f" was so real
The jumpscare when the tail piece exploded! My anxiety went through the roof!
In 2:10 Brett was so shocked and scared that he couldnt talk for 2,3 seconds.
The "trumpet" violin actually sounds quite nice, but when heard next to the "cake" violin during the duet......the "cake" for me is definitely the best-sounding "weird" violin.
On a side note, I'd be mortified if one of these old violins broke while I'm holding it like the "cake" did.
Wow! So fortunate the tail loop did not break while Brett was playing the violin just seconds before he handed it to Eddy...then Boom! It was the originally used "gut" tail loop (red color) that broke. It is a horrendous looking catastrophe, but relatively easy to fix. The repairman brought a newer style plastic black tail-loop (in his hand) in the frame he is in. This type has brass screws that adjust easily and quickly to the length needed. Just have to put the bridge up and check strings & soundpost...so the cake violin was returned quickly. (They didn't want to touch it again, though!)
Yeah I breathed a sigh of relief when I realized it was just the tail piece and not the actual violin body that snapped haha
1:52 THAT GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK.. if i was in that position, i would've had the same reaction 😭 rooted to the spot, wondering how much I'd have to sell my soul for just to pay the damages off if it was serious...
My jaw literally dropped....
1:53 They went through so much effort to tune this violi--
*BLOWS UP*

I love how the subtitles still say “violence” for violin 😂
well, one of them committed violence against itself LMAO
Eddy's face at 1:58 lol
The cake violin really broke under the pressure *bu-dum-tss*
1:57 worthy for a "you flinch, you lose" challenge
I KO'd, and then did it again, and again each time the reply happened
2:02 you guys proof the point oh..

TWOSETVIOLIN
I’m your biggest fan and you inspired me to start from viola and transfer to the violin, you two inspired me to practice more and more every day. Right now before school starts my average is 4-9 hours
I have been playing the viola for 3 years (self taught) and the violin 3 years (self taught 2 years) I was self taught for about 5 years of my career. Now I have an amazing teacher. At the beginning of our lessons together we were doing the Bach double and Schindler’s list, now just a year later I’m doing rieding violin concerto for my teacher and the first few pages of Ziguenerwisen for fun. (I am 14 turning 15 soon)
I know this is probably not your first fan ranting about how much they love your content and what you do, I just wanted to thank you again and again because I prolly would not be playing what I am if it was not for TwoSetviolin. I just can’t thank you enough. May God bless you in everything you do and let God help you achieve your dreams. That Chloe Chua hasn’t taken yet ;)
But really thank you again. And have a blessed day
My reply is super late lol, but good for you! That is just so awesome, and I'm 100% sure they would feel great at reading/hearing this (bc they've said it before)!
i loved the sound of the 'viola' violin, it's full and loud. if violins were all like this it would be a really good thing.
I legit thought the cake violin snapped again at the end! Never gasped so hard... Thanks editor san 😩🤣
1:59 ACTUALLY FREAKS ME OUT💀
I love how they jumpscare us like 3 times with the exploding cake violin, because it didn't hurt enough the first time
1:55 i cannot believe yall got this on camera
1:57 THE WAY I ACTUALLY SCREAMED AND FELL OUT OF MY CHAIR WATCHING THIS 💀💀💀
Brett: "If you ever struggle with hight notes, I've got the right instrument for you." Proceeds to play it and it's like 3 octaves lower than a violin. So much for high notes 😂😂
I think he meant "this is the solution if you can't play high notes, go for the low instead. Or maybe I don't understand your joke... give you that one in that case :)
@@xandraxandra1437 oh lol, yeah I apparently lacked observation at that particular moment. So much for noticing things 😭 😆
Real jumpscares are seeing the cake violin's tailbone snapping footage again and again and fearing for their bank account if it actually breaks 😅
I legit shooketh when that cake violin strings explode😭
Damn! We're being spoiled this week! Twoset academy teaching us about the history of violin shapes! Can't wait.
Gotta go practice now 😰 6:40
That horn thing is cool as hell.
I love the phonograph speaker-lin. You can nickname it RCA Victor. The cursed violin reminds me of a dulcimer.
The way Brett flinched when Eddy started playing summer by Vivaldi 🤣
Eddie goes from breaking hearts to breaking historic violins.
Note: dont make a violin look like cake; it will become a bomb
Or don't call violins violas, cause... yk
1:58 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱 not them breaking a hundreds year old violin ON CAMERA not even two minutes into the video.
more like it broke itself 💀
all violins in different shapes, but the curious thing is the bridge remains always the same. they nailed it so perfectly no one over the centuries had nothing against it.
there have been different violin bridges throughout history
@@jacemeldrum5052 yes. but the one who has remained is this one we know today
The video is so chaotic at different points (even the duet - yea coz i know we're not tuning the sensitive instruments..and that ending 10/10! ) that it's GOLD! I giggled, I screamed with shock, and learnt alot about these iNtErEsTing instruments! 🤣🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏👏👏
1:58 who else had a heart attack when they saw this
Man…the eye contact 1:04
What’s the piece?
@@natanmiller3607Mendelssohn violin concerto in e minor

3:23 the way Brett said nonono
7:28 sounds like a 144p recording of a person playing a violin at the end of a long hallway (would make AMAZING lofi tho)
1:57 the violin chose violence😭😭
When the tailpiece popped, it just shows that this is a viewed collection and not instruments that are taken for test drives. Based on the amount of fun that you had, seems worth refreshing the setup on all of the instruments. Very cool instruments that players would enjoy visiting and using for a good time.
7:41 It sounds similar to the mosquito inside my wall
I wonder if the cursed violin, because it doesnt have a large resonace chamber, actually transfers a lot of the sound vibrations into the jaw and head of the player? It seems like the boys found it PHYSICALLY UNPLEASANT to play, like it was bothering their ears.
forget twoset violin, they were twoset horror movies today with all the replays of the cake violin breaking 😭
This was so much fun. It has a little of everything informative, funny, silly, lighthearted and also even heart attack inducing, inside jokes 40/10 🥰
0:27 "Did anyone ever try to experiment, to make a violin of a different shape or size?"
Yes, the viola
Do not miss the REAL last 30 second from 8:57. The 8th violin.
every time editor-san replayed the violin exploding I thought it did again 🎻💥
8:40 🎻🎻👀👀
Oh, my dearest Lovelies. Let me say that I enjoyed this overall video. I will admit that there were moments in the ending duo where it sounded like two completely different keys were playing. I'm certain Eddy knew it immediately.
Hehe 🤭
Those historical violins are so cool! Thank you both so much for sharing the smiles & information in this video.
Sending warm hugs filled with hope, encouragement, and love. 🫂💕💯🥰🥰
Dude the violin after the cake one looks like this 🗿
1:56 The reactions are pure comedy and fear.
I genuinely LAUGHED MY ASS OFF when the cake violin suddenly exploded 🤣
And their reactions were priceless! 😁👌
2:00 😱😳🤯😅😬
Ok, I'm early, but Brett caught me lacking 0:08
I'll go practice..
the one that's meant to be played on the table is shockingly similar to a mandolin, just with spikes on the back
I can’t understand how itwas to be played on a table though…
@@susanbryant6516 my best guess is that it was played like a dulcimer
4:10 When the musician can't decide between a violin or a brass instrument.
1:57
That was the most terrifying thing i ever saw 😭😭
6:34 this looks like a cross-breed between a violin and the Chinese erhu
A moment of silence for the violin that went KABOOM 💥
It was hard to buy rosin in the good old days. It was the cost and the availability. My grandfather, his father, and others would rub their bow strings under the strings, in front of the bridge in order to wipe up the rosin dust. I do it in memory of my grandfather.
6:50 I'm really curious to know what is Eddy vibing to 😂
Was just warching old videos of yours and this popped up :)
I almost dropped my coffee when the cake one snapped 😭 omg
Blud engaged the final boss battle 5:03
You need to do a video playing viola da gamba. It's fun!!
I was so startled when the cake violin broke that I literally dropped my phone!
8:45 LOL i thought it broke again
my heart bumped everytime i heard the violin snapped :)) and they playback it for 3 times :))
Would love to see these two play Guzheng like a violin one day. Or for that matter play am Erhu like a violin
1:57 the moment TwoSet ended.
Somehow the video turns into a horror movie 😂
Those jumpscare 😂
1:57 **boing** R.I.P Chocolate cake violin!
At 1:57 viola god used his special power for Twoset lmaooo
8:45 bro i got jumpscared by a violin
TWO SET UPLOADED YIPPE! I gotta go practice now
killer! i love the mini at the end lol. the REAL travel size!
YALL KNOW THAT THE VIDEO IS GONNA BE FRIKIN GOOD IF IT STARTS WITH DYING WHALE SOUNDS BY BRETT AND EDDY
THEY KEEP DOING THE VIOLIN STRING BREAKING JUMPSCARE. HeLP
The fans will not be happy, until Eddie and Brett try break dancing. There could be a mutiny.
1:57 Bravo Eddy good job 🤣you were broken violin ❤ I'm sorry!
Eddy broke his first violin!
Brett's laugh when the tailpiece breaks is priceless
Always said a proper and well maintained stroh violin sounds GOOD, people just judge it from shitty videos from street performers, it's only not as common cause recording technology got much better AND it was heavy AF
Two strings are perfect for horror movies. That sound was haunting.
What a great collection, so cool to be able to hear the different sounds of each type. Thanks Maison Bernard for letting B and E show us .
The way my jaw hit my desk when that tail broke
