      gosh, why would anyone ever feel conscious about wearing hearing protection? I didn't protect my ears when I was younger, not because of being self conscious, I just did not think that my hearing would get damaged, well it did. I have had tinnitus for over 10 years now.
      Thankfully my case is relatively mild, but the first few years were difficult to cope with it. if you ever find yourself in a loud environment, whether it's construction, concerts, planes, etc. Covers your ears, either with toilet paper (better than nothing), fingers, noise cancelling airpods did quite well last time at an air show for me, or spend some money on some earplugs.

      I have the loop quiet, same one from the video, they have -27 db so they’re good for eliminating background noise like conversations and machines in a coffee shop or reducing short term loud noises like a few mins of cutting with a drop saw or drill press. Hiii! Great review!
    I’m loving my loop earplugs, I live in Mexico and since I’m autistic, noise is just too much sometimes for me, so these earplugs do a great job of helping me stay calm
    I just have a question: I carry them in my tote bag, on the handles of the bag (I attached them with a carabiner). The question is, do you think the case can handle that or should I have them inside the bag to not risk that they open accidentally and lose em.

    • @bjorn4215
      @bjorn4215 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      These aren’t noise cancelling, but noise reducing. There’s not much you can do with ones that aren’t Bluetooth or connectable to a phone, as most need music to enhance the noise cancelling. If you want almost every sound blocked you’ll probably need a good pair from a good brand.
      I don’t own any yet, but my sister got a pair of headphones and we were quite surprised that they don’t block much. So just keep in mind that it isn’t very possible to block everything, especially on ear plugs!

    • @junbh2

      @@richarddunn369 They should have talked about the noise reduction ability though, since that's the whole point of wearing earplugs. And these are not very good at that. They do provide a bit of noise reduction, at least in the lower frequencies, but not very much.

    I own both the Quieton's 3.1 as well as the Bose sleepbuds. I am a real consumer - this is not some fake review. Four months after I purchased the Quieton's, the sound cancelling feature stopped working making the product useless. After a long six week waiting period, Quieton replaced the earbuds. Guess what, four months later, the same thing happened the noise cancelling failed. Changing the foam earpieces did not do anything. Quieton refused to do anything saying their liability is limited to the cost of the earbuds. I was entitled to just this one replacement and they were not standing by their product. Tough luck. $300 out the window.
    Don't deal with this company. They have a problem with their product and they refuse to own up to it.

    I have the quiets and the experience pro for more than half a year now.
    I’m a light sleeper and can wakeup to car wheels screeching or cat/dog fighting from quite a distance away etc.
    The quiet + an eye mask helps me sleep throughout the night without waking up, even if my upstairs neighbours are dancing away at 12am its enough to block some of the thumping sounds for me to fall asleep.
    I tried sleeping with the experience pro and i’ll say they perform very similarly if not the same, the only difference is that the experience pro are harder as its made from metal? Vs silicone from the quiets. But i can feel both of them in my ears anyway and the hardness of the material doesn’t really affect comfort for me.
    I use the experience pro mainly at co-working spaces when my Airpods Pro has run out of battery, they do dampen sound quite abit but you’d still be able to hear muffled conversations near you, once you get used to them you’ll be surprise how much sound they dampen when you remove them.
    I bring the experience pros to zoos and parks as well where it helps to dampen the screeching and screaming of children.

      I'm having a similar experience.. I've been using simple foam earplugs that you get from the pharmacy for more than 8 years now during sleep because I often sleep in noisy environments. The foam ones reduce around 32db as by the label. I personally can still hear people talking to me in those, but very quietly and the noises have to be really sharp to reach through.
      So.. I bought the quiets (-27db) and I also got the extra add-ons (-5db) which if you ask me should've been included. I was hoping for a total of - 32db as my basic cheap foam earplugs but I'm sadly disappointed. And I was really looking forward to them working so I wouldn't have to keep changing them regularly. But the noise reduction is weak even with the add-ons, conversations are a breeze with them on and I feel like I get the same result by folding my tragus with my fingers 😅 I'm considering returning them 😕

    • @WildVee
      @WildVee ปีที่แล้ว +3

      But.. these never claimed to shut off all noise lol. So when you bought these, you expected noise cancelling from a product that says it's noise reducing? You kinda screwed yourself there. No offence.
      Since you already have these now, what I really love to do is pair them with noise-cancelling headphones when I'm somewhere extremely noisy and just want to hear nothing at all. I put in the quiet ones & then put some white noise or music with the headphones and it's great. Try it out, maybe you'll find a use for them that way.

    • @junbh2
      @junbh2 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@WildVee They expected noise attenuation, which is what these claim to provide. But they provide so little attenuation they're not very useful. The 25 cent foam earplugs are much more effective.

    • @WildVee
      @WildVee 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@junbh2 Nah - they said "shut off ALL noise" which means noise cancelling, and Loops never claimed to do that, let's be real here lol. And eh, I guess they don't work for everyone and that's fine. I like to vouch for products that work for me - and that's not my experience, I love mine and I take them to noisy areas and concerts, and sleep with the quiet ones every night. They're awesome for what I want. That being said, it's completely OK to share your own experience, but to expect noise cancelling from a product that never stated providing that, is a little ridiculous, come on. Just a silly reason to jump on the hate bandwagon here.

    Hi can you help me?
    I work in an open space office (so I have different people closed to me).
    I’d like to consistently reduce both ambient and voices noises to be more focused when carrying out my tasks.
    However I wouldn’t like to be completely isolated from everything (for example if a colleague is trying to call me, I’d like to be able to notice it, even if his voice noise is significantly reduced).
    So on one hand I want all the noises (of the voices as well) to be hugely reduced but on the other hand I would appreciate if I could be a little aware if someone is calling me.
    Is that possible with the loop experience pro (with the mute filter on) for instance? Or the voices are too much high (even with the mute filter on)?
    Because if with the loop experience pro the noises of the voices are still too much high, I would be disturbed the same (and in that case I would choose the quiet: I would be very isolated and not able to notice if someone is calling me, it’s true, but at least I would be focused when doing my tasks that it’s the priority for me).
    I hope you understood the situation.
    Thank you very much in advance for the answer!
