    Ever since I was a little kid I wanted to see someone use a pulling tractor for actual farm work. So this is just awesome! The one implement i always wanted to see used was a disc harrow, but this is still amazing. That is a beautiful tractor too.

    I thought this was awesome. Everybody who’s ever seen a pro stock tractor has wondered this very same “what if?”. Personally, I don’t see the difference between this and the “Fastest Street Car” guys driving pro mod cars on the street and calling them “street cars” just because they have head lights. I want to see the plow next…….maybe you can get her up on the turbo with a little bite back there.

      @@WowCreativeUsername I don’t care what he does with it. It’s still a pro mod race car. This isn’t a tractor just because it’s pulling a baler and has tractor-type tires.

    • @killorkubed
      @killorkubed 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vettepilot427 I mean this limited pro stock tractor is required to actually pretty much be a tractor, same rear end, transmission housing, and motor block as a tractor you would actually find in a field... and idk, if you drive it on the street isn't that all it takes for it to be a street car?

    • @vettepilot427
      @vettepilot427 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@killorkubed Look, I think Pro Stock tractors, Pro Stock drag cars, and just about anything that makes lots of horsepower and noise are awesome (Pro Stock is my favorite category in both). The main appeal is that they look like (sort of) the factory vehicle they represent, so fans can cheer Ford, Chevy, John Deere, International, etc. But make no mistake, they are purpose-built racing vehicles, even if you hook an implement to them or drive them on the street. Just because they have a few factory based parts or headlights doesn’t change that. My town allows you to drive golf cars on the street in town. That doesn’t make it a street car, it’s still a golf car. Hooking a horse trailer to a monster truck doesn’t make it a truck.
      The biggest difference is maintenance. With a true street car, even a performance car or a car modified within limits, I can drive literally thousands of miles and never touch the car except for putting in pump gas. With a real tractor, you can put hundreds of hours on it and just top off fluids and add diesel. With Pro Stock tractors and “Fastest street car” pro-mods, these guys are literally working on them every time the engine isn’t running. Parts get replaced regularly (valve springs, plugs, gaskets, fluids, clutches) and it is EXPENSIVE.
      It takes a full can of ether just to START a Pro Stock tractor. Wait, I got an old tractor that needs that also………..bad example.

    • @killorkubed
      @killorkubed 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vettepilot427 I've seen times where it takes two full pro stock tractors just to back up to the sled...
      I drive a modified v8 pulling tractor, the rail car of the tractor pulling world... My point was that this limited pro stock is actually required to pretty much be a modified farm tractor, unlike Bailies car or my pulling tractor that basically have no rules as to what they start as... this limited pro stock is much more like your uncles 1500hp supra, sure it requires a ridiculous amount of maintenance, but it still maintains a ton of actual tractor parts and not just headlights and tin... (although a lot of tractors, especially the light limited pro stock tractors (my favorite class...) actually make homemade aluminum tin))
      Pro stock tractors are allowed to be component chassis and be sort of whatever they want to be and are very much purpose-built pulling machines running full custom transmissions and semi truck rear ends etc, I'd say this is by far the biggest difference between pro stock and limited pro stock... then you have modified chassis like ours that don't even have to look like a tractor... We have been known to hook our modifies to farm equipment to make test passes under some load (a field is no comparison to a clay pulling track) though

    That Baler is not being powered by the tractor puller you can clearly see the Baler has some sort of single cyclinder engine powering it. Tractor pullers of that class dont have P.T.Os there removed from the rear end of the tractor internally in the gearbox. That tractor puller is only pulling the baler not driving it with its engine.
