I had a slight issue with the audio jumping towards the end of the video, and i want to apologise if this has ruined the tutorial. Unfortunately my current imac is 7 years old and is beginning to struggle with running todays apps and record in 4k. I'm saving up towards a new computer so i can continue creating tutorials for youtube. If you found value in the tutorial and would like to support my channel, you can buy me a coffee using this link - ☕️ www.buymeacoff... ☕️ all donations will go towards a new computer so i can continue creating new content. Thank you and have a great day.

Wow, I saw that the video is 30 mins long and I thought why not watching one or two mins .. I ended up finishing the whole video and maybe gonna rewatch it. This was the best video I've watched ever
Thank you for the amazing comment 🙂 I'm really glad that you enjoyed it and that you managed to watch the entire video as it is a long tutorial.
Thanks you! This video is excellent. I followed along with Affinity Publisher while I was watching it and made a perfect card. :-) Looking foward to more videos from you in the future. :-)
Great video! I have Affinity photo2 that I’m learning at present. I’m going to transition from all the adobe products and get all Affinity products. Also, you have the same printer that I have. Super cool demonstration on the printer that finished up the great job. Thanks!
Thank you for taking the time to comment. I definitely recommend getting all of the Affinity applications as they're all amazing, and adobe subscription fees are just ridiculous. I used Adobe products for many many years, but I wouldn't go back. Great choice of printer, I love mine 🙂
I design and write greeting cards. So I am quite excited to learn this card option is within affinity publisher.
love this video! do you have a video that would use a full sheet of paper to make two greeting cards?
Thank you 🙂 I don't currently have a video for creating two cards from a single sheet, but this is something I may record in the future.
Great video, liked and subscribed :)
Thank you for subscribing and I'm glad you enjoyed the video 🙂
@@MJWMediaStudios I'm that impressed I'm gonna buy it :)
I used Publisher to create a Christmas card but set my document size to A5. Front cover was page 1 and page 3 had the message. I printed it as a booklet with paper size of A4. My printer has duplex printing so it came out exactly as expected.
thank you , it worked for me.
You're welcome 🙂
Pretty card! I'm in the US and would use 8.5x11. Your instructions were so easy to follow. Would it be easy for me to follow them using 8.5x11"/letter size?
Hi.
We don't use 8.5x11 in the UK as A4 is our standard letter size. But yes it will be easier for you to follow along using the US letter size 🙂
If your printer prints duplex would it be easier to print both sides at one time or is it better to print each side separately? This was very helpful. Will be using my own artwork. Thank you.
I imagine it would be possible as long as you position your artwork correctly in Affinity Publisher for printing both sides at once. Just have a play around with it and always print a test copy before committing to higher quality paper or card. my printer doesn't print double sided, so I can't be completely sure if it will work without any issues, but in theory I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work.
@@MJWMediaStudios Thank you for the prompt reply! I will report back. Great video.
Can you help? I have snoopy jpeg images that I bought from then scanned thenI scanned them into my computer. They are on a white background, I need each one as a vector with no background. I want to add my Peanuts, Charlie Brown, Snoopy etc characters to backgrounds that I created add text to each group. How do I remove all background, achieve a clean design to place on my own backgrounds? I intend to sublimate each final design group onto a small blanket to give my baby brother. Is there a simple way to achieve this, or what is the simplest way to achieve this within affinity v2 latest version. I have tried background removers with horrible results. I have vision problems so going all the way around each character to try to clean up remaining backgrounds is so difficult for me. I need a much simpler way to achieve my goal.
Unfortunately there is nothing you can do in Affinity Publisher to remove the backgrounds or manually cut around them. Affinity photo will be a better option for removing the backgrounds. Have you tried affinity photo? Anything AI doesn't always do a great job and I find it's best to use some of the tools In Affinity photo such at the selection tool then refining the edges. (Plenty of tutorials on TH-cam) It does an amazing job when cutting around a person's hair, so cartoon characters should be a fairly easy task. Alternatively, have you just tried looking on Google for free snoopy PNG files? It will save you the trouble as png files have a transparent background.
