Seriously? I watched a guy get hit in the face with a cut off 4x4 about 1" thick. His face was swollen up so bad it looked exactly like 1/2 a hard ball!! He did it before lunch and worked the rest of the day! Just last week 2 more shot past me but at minimal speed. Typically the pcs. only go a short distance from you. I only had one that shot past me hit the wall 30 feet behind me and bounced back off the wall a few feet. Your right it's not typical but IF you cut enough day in and day out sooner or later it does happen and I witnessed 2 thus far.
