I got this to do rollers with, film the car while also recording the exhaust Audio or turbo noises, I tried it out and I’m getting a distorted muffled sound, could you help me with figuring out what setting I need to change?
The Microphone Maximum SPL is 120dB, so if you are exceeding that you will get distortion. That is the limitation of the mic. For normal vocal use that is pretty high, but for your needs that might be a little low. I would use the furry windscreen and then reduces the mic's input gain to -4 and the receiver's output to 2. Then monitor with wired headphones out of the receiver to hear the result. If you are still getting distortion or muffled sound, move the mic 6" to 1-foot away and try again. If the sound is good, but too low, then increase the mic's input gain and reciever's output 1 step up and repeat until you get what you need. You can certainly capture the sound, but you need to be aware of the mic's position and gain, especially on high SPL outputs. I hope that helps.
Yes, in vertical mode it should, but in horizontal mode it doesn’t look like there is enough clearance unless the arm extends. When mounted on an iPhone it will extend about 2.5cm below the bottom of the phone. There may be a way to accommodate that, but you’d have to check with Zhiyun tech support.
The black (right-angle to right-angle) on both sides is for cameras. The black (right-angled) and grey (straight) cable is for mobile devices and computers, with the black end going into the B2+ receiver. I hope that helps.
I am using CAMO studio to connect my iphone 13 camera to my computer to use its camera. I am having difficulty to get the saramonic device to work with this set up? Any advice? The device works perfectly when directly connected to my iphone.
Make sure you connect the Blink 500 B2+ to your phone and have the transmitters on. You then need to select the Blink 500 B2+ in your audio settings on the computer app. Also, you should have the B2+'s receiver in Mono mode.
I would like to ask about the phone app about the mic, I don’t know which one is the best set up for normal voice recording, such as sample rate, Low cut, Bit depth, can you tell me more about it?
When using the Saramonic app for recording, I tend to not use a low-cut filter unless the background noise is significant. I can always apply a low-cut in my editing software if needed. 24-bit / 48kHz is the standard I also use for recording (with any app) this will give you a high-quality hi-res recording, without taking up too much memory. You might be using another app, like the camera app or a voice recorder app. The system will put out a 24-bit / 48kHz recording to those apps automatically, so you can be sure to get a good recording without having to worry about the settings. For me, I just plugged the system in launch my camera app and start recording. I will use the noise canceling feature if it's a very noisy environment and I will rarely use the low-cut filter on the receiver only if it is extremely noisy where I'm recording. I hope that helps.
Can I connect the receiver through a usb type c to c connector to extend the connection? The receiver has a usb c connection I don't know if it's only for charging purposes. I wanted to connect it to my dji pocket 3 with the saramonic receiver mounted on a cold shoe. (the pocket 3 does not have a 3.5mm jack connection)
You can likely extend the male USB-C output of the receiver IF the extension cable is short (less than 6"), but it will depend on the extension cable. You need to be sure that the cable is not only for charging, but must do data through. Like this: a.co/d/8bjudOF I could not test it, since I don't have that adapter or any extension cable like it but I did convert the USB-C output to USB using an adapter and used a USB female to USB-C adapter cable into my iPad Pro and it works fine, so I think you should be able to make this happen with that type of adapter. The USB-C female is only for charging, so that will not work for any audio. I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

would it be possible to connect the transmitter to a speaker, and have the speaker broadcast the audio out? Or is this device only made for recording audio onto phones, cameras, and computers?
Yes, you can use the included 3.5mm TRS cable and plug the receiver into a powered speaker or amplifier. Depending on your speaker or amplifier's input, you can plug in the 3.5mm TRS direct or you will need an adapter. Luckily, these adapters are inexpensive and easy to find.
Yes, the receiver has a camera shoe-mount. Mount it to the shoe and use the included 3.5mm TRS cable. If your Fuji has a 2.5mm input like one of mine does, you will need a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter. I want to use stereo mode to record stereo space, like background sounds or a car driving by left to right. Is the stereo mode true stereo do this or is it just dual mono?
You could use these for stereo, but your set-up and placement has to be precise. Please see "Setups for stereo: AB" in this article: pulse.ly/nlpb2ucf4iYou could also construct a mannequin head that would hold the transmitter in the ears of the head. This might be more complicated that you want. Primarily, the stereo setting is to be used for dual mono, recording one subject to the left, and the other subject to the right. For a stereo recording, it is much easier to use a stereo recorder or mic with an XY microphone pattern, a stereo binaural microphone or head mic, or 2x cardioid lavalier mics (positioned correctly) into a wireless system. For simplicties sake, I suggest a good recorder with a stereo XY mic, they can be had for $79 and above. I hope that helps.
@@SaramonicUSA It's not hard to record in stereo space if you have a true stereo recorder. I've done it easily many times with my condensers and tascam DR mkiii. I also used the first DJI Mic, 30 ft apart in my yard, as well as holding them in my hands and got a stereo image. I've since sold them looking for a new mic set. Sadly, this set sounds like it's simply dual mono which is not what I'm looking for. Thanks for clarifying, though!
I'm currently stuck recording out of the receiver ive paid my microphone and it sows its capturing audio but when playing my video back the mic is not picking up audio it is only the receiver. Does anyone have any suggestions?
My answer would depend on what you are recording to. If you are recording to a camera, make sure you are using the TRS to TRS cable (Right-Angle to Right-Angle). If you are recording to a smartphone or tablet, make sure you connect the USB-C or Lightning adapter completely and plug the receiver into the device, then launch the video or recording app after the receiver is connected (this last step is vital for your app to know you are using an external mic). Please also note that mic transmitters do not record, they transmit to the receiver and you record from the receiver. If you want a system with recording transmitters, please check out the Saramonic Ultra, or the Saramonic Blink 500 ProX B2R.

While recording my video, voice volume is getting lower as moving away from a receiver. what setting do I have to adjust? it is a phone setting or Blink setting?
Hello, what likely happening is you do not have the receiver, plugged in with the mics on BEFORE you start the camera app. Most camera apps, including the ones that are bundled with the iPhone or Android phones do not have audio settings. So, what you need to do is plug in the receiver with the microphones on and then launch the camera or recording app, this way the camera app knows you're using an external microphone. If you have the camera app on before you plug in the microphone, it does not automatically change to external microphone when you plug that in. Please give that a try and let us know if you have any other problems. I would bet this is your issue and that would fix your problem.
@@SaramonicUSA Still not working, voice recording is working. but only video voice is not working on my two smart phones. It may be a Camera Setting? I tried all of them, but not working. What else can I try?
It definitely works with an iPhone 14 Pro Max, I have one myself. Please make sure you have the B2+'s Lightning slid in 100% to the receiver. Also, please make sure you launch the video or audio recording app AFTER the B2+ is connected to your iPhone and that the system is 100% powered on, otherwise you app will not recognize you're using an external microphone. Lastly, if you have recently updated the iOS, make sure you have the newest version available today. lots of times Apple will create a new version, but then a few days later, add the proper patches that allow external microphones to be used. This is a common thing that happens when new version of iOS is updated. If you are still having issues, please contact our support: support@SaramonicUSA.com if in the US, or support@Saramonic.com if outside the US.
The Left Bluelight on the Transmitter is still blinking and the output is in Mono, not stereo. I'm using it with my Iphone IOS 17.5.1. I can't figure out how to fix it. Thx in Advance!
The blue light on the receiver will blink if the transmitter is not on or not paired. So if you are only using one transmitter and have the other off or in the case, this is normal. You can turn on, or remove the transmitter from the case and the light will go solid. If you have both transmitters out of the case and on and the left side is still blinking, you need to re-pair the system. If you need to re-pair, watch the video linked here, it is cued up for you: pulse.ly/et8cxhumkx

There is no perfect setting for everyone because it will vary by recording device. I like to start with +4 for the microphones, and level 5 for the receiver output. This works great for my iPhone 14 in a quite room, and on the street. It will work similarly on an Android phone with USB-C. When connecting to camera I would use the same settings and adjust the camera's gain so I am averaging about -12dB on the camera's meter. If you have a particularly noisy camera preamp, I'd go to +5 on the microphones and maybe 6 on the receiver, this way I can turn the camera's gain down a bit to get the cleanest signal. I hope that helps. 😀
If you are asking about the original Blink 500 B2 system that we released in 2018, the B2+'s internal mic definitely sounds better in my opinion. If you are comparing it to the Blink 500 ProX B2, I would say the ProX's internal mic sounds better, but that is almost twice the price and has lavaliers. The B2+ does have a killer microphone and when compared to some popular wireless systems' internal mics that are $250 and even $350, many reviewers had mentioned that the B2+'s mics cound better, and I agree. I also prefer the B2+'s mic sound to the Q20. It is a great system for the money.

Hi, I bought one yesterday, but it seems that I have bad luck. I see the positive comments, but it was not with me. There is a hissing sound when recording, even when the microphone is turned off. I tried to record sound on the laptop and the microphone is off. Although the microphone is off, there is still a hissing or buzzing sound. And when I record a video, this sound affects the recording. I tried all the settings and it did not work. When I try to connect it to the phone, the phone takes my voice from the phone itself and not from the microphone. I tried to connect the microphone to the camera. It gives me a very annoying hissing sound, as if it were an electrical vibration. I do not want to return the microphone. I want to find a solution. If I do not find a solution, I will try to replace it.

I'm having an issue, it's probably a simple fix. When I record on my iphone 10 with 1 receiver, the video playback is only producing sound in my right ear, nothing in the left. If i turn on both receivers I hear sound in both ears but I obviously don't want to hang two receivers on my shirt during recording. Can you contact me here with a fix if you know of one please.
You are in stereo mode, that puts 1 mic to left and 1 mic to the right. Which is ideal for mixing later in post-production. If you are recording 1 person, or just want 2 people mixed to both left and right you want mono mode. How to fix it, receiver won't turn off
@PuddleJumpRay I literally discharged the full unit. Then, I recharged it, and it basically cycled itself to work again. Try that and see what happens.
Thanks for clarifying, though!
great tutorial, thank you
I'm currently stuck recording out of the receiver ive paid my microphone and it sows its capturing audio but when playing my video back the mic is not picking up audio it is only the receiver.
Hey guys, I was really enjoying using this microphone with my phone. Unfortunately it's not working at the moment, so I tried connecting the microphones to my camera (sony a7iii) instead, but the receiver will not connect to the camera. I wasn't having any issues when connecting the receiver to iphone, but it won't work with my camera, is there anything you'd reccomend?
to clarify, my iphone isn't working, and my transmitter which was working with iphone isn't connecting to my camera

@@SaramonicUSA I figured out. I should have used Saramonic APP. I thought I could use a phone camera. No issue.
No convección ti iPhone 14 pro mas. Everything is fully charged and have a solid blue light on the receiver and the microphone. But still not working.

Thank you for your help!!! I know how to use them now😎
Can you connect them to a H4N pro zoom?
Yes, using the TRS cable into the H4N's 3.5mm input, or if you buy a TRS to dual XLR male cable you can go into the H4N's XLR inputs. Like the Saramonic SR-UM10-CC1: saramonicusa.com/sr-um10-cc1-locking-1-8-3-5mm-trs-male-to-dual-xlr-male-output-cable-for-saramonic-wireless-recievers/?srsltid=AfmBOorDbI_rlxOxD0ZllKynBUkpFqKu79CcFm42DV7bjEEgzzI1iS2y

Can the receiver pass thru charge to my phone while using it?
Absolutely. That is one great feature that allows you to film for hours.
can you write best adjustment levels for one person recording on quite room ? because in video is a little hard which is the best adjustment
Is the sound produced from B2 + as same as the B2 version? I saw some reviews between B2 vs Q20 which in my opinion B2, somehow, sounds better. Thanks
@@SaramonicUSA Thanks for your reply. I used to use B2 old version. I make vlog outside and I need a noise canceling mode mic. I think I'll go get myself the B2+ since the ProX is still out of my budget 😄

Can i use this with Go Pro 10 camera
Yes, but you wll need either the GoPro Mic Adapter or the MediaMod. No 3rd party mic can be used with a GoPro without either of these adapters.

You go to the setting in the receiver, select Mono in Output mode and it works.
You are in stereo mode, that puts 1 mic to left and 1 mic to the right. Which is ideal for mixing later in post-production.
If you are recording 1 person, or just want 2 people mixed to both left and right you want mono mode.
It is easy to change, please see this part of the video to show you how: th-cam.com/video/8N5IfEN0Z78/w-d-xo.htmlsi=8BaI-ccAH9bt4ki8&t=212
@@SaramonicUSA I ended up figuring that out but I really appreciate the quick response. If I have any other questions I’ll let you know. Thank you again.
Does it have bluetooth conection features?
This does not connect via Bluetooth. Bluetooth would have a much lower audio resolution than the digital connections this system has via USB-C or Lightning. This system has a digital resolution of 24-Bit/48kHz, while Bluetooth would be much much lower.
Can I use it with dji pocket 3 ?
Yes. Just use the USB-C adapter from the Blink 500 B2+ and that will connect with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3's USB-C input.
Connected to my Zve-10 camera and there is no sound

help!

When I hit the power button twice, I can't get the "A" channel. I can only get to "B" and no "M" what am I doing wrong?
Make sure you have both transmitters on, and out of the case. Otherwise, it won't allow you to change the volume on the other transmitter. If you were trying to get to mono, stereo, and saftey modes, that is not accessed by the power button, but instead the M button and it is the 1st menu page when you hit the M button.
