  • The HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 is a cloud-native data infrastructure solution designed to deliver high-performance, scalable, and mission-critical storage for modern workloads. It supports multiple data types-including file, block, and soon object storage-within a unified system. Powered by AMD EPYC™ embedded processors, the B10000 offers a disaggregated architecture that allows independent scaling of compute, storage, and networking resources, enabling organizations to efficiently manage diverse applications, from large databases to AI and machine learning workloads.

Mark this day... Brian confirmed he likes all the cable gore at the lab. The Storage Review lab team is officially off the hook from doing any cable management! 😅💯

just by looking at these two; left dude puts in the work, efforts and knowledge. right dude collects payment

NGL... HPE is my flavor of choice for SAN because of these key features.

Thank you sir, This was nice info on the new hardware. Seems like a good idea by HPE.

It is a pretty neat platform.

like the hardware, but honestly Ceph has offered object/file/block at arbitrary scale for many years now, and it offers it simultaneously in the same storage pool.

Ceph isn't even close when it comes to management though. It's getting better/easier but a far cry from this user experience.

Question, you mentioned 64G ready, is that 64GBit? If it is, don't we have faster steeds already, or am I missing something?

isnt 800g out and 1,6tbits on the horizon yet?

800GbE is not broadly shipping no - 10/25GbE is still quite pervasive in the data center for storage. It will be a very long time before 200, 400 or 800 is mainstream for storage.

Why would you connect your critical serverinfrastructure to a cloud based service.. I mean..one hack and....

I agree but I am pretty sure there is a air gapped option.
