The Rise of m0NESY: How a 16-Year-Old s1mple Clone Could Become CS:GO's Next GOAT
ฝัง

- Suffice it to say, part of what makes s1mple such a singularity is the fact that there’s only, well, 1 of him.
Some say he was born to play Counter-Strike, others that he just lives and breathes it. Whatever the source of his godhood may be, the overwhelming consensus is that he is, undoubtedly, a once-in-a-generation player. The kind who, quite simply, cannot be duplicated.
But what if I told you that s1mple not only could be cloned but, uh . . . already has been.
Today, I’m here to introduce you all to Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, a sixteen-year-old CS:GO prodigy from the CIS who’s spent the past two years turning FPL into his own personal playground.
Of course, what really stands out about our boy is the uncanny resemblance he bears to his game’s GOAT. He’s a blonde, Slavic wonderboy who plays for Na’Vi and not only bangs with every boomstick on the buy menu, but boasts gamesense and gunskill beyond his years.
This little tyke doesn’t just walk and talk like Sasha the Smasha, he frags like him, too.

the CIS region is dominating CS right now... It’s Crazy how big the game there has become. When Navi just won the Grand Slam, I seen all the Valorant idiots in the English twitch stream typing 380k viewers dead game KEKW, meanwhile the Russian broadcast had the same amount of views if not more.... CSGO is really a global game, Portuguese broadcast pulled in over a 100k as well
And then the Gambit in the Valorant happened... damn, Riot even copied the esports scene of CS, how dare them :D
@@python3x just was about to say that too xD
I think it's the difference between LOL and DOTA 2. DOTA is dead compared to LOL and so is valorant compared to CS, it's just that NA streamers get so much exposure. The thing is no matter how many shooters come, there is no way they can match the legacy and sheer legitimacy of CS.
@@HarshManohar dota is nowhere near dead lol. Dota still enjoys a good amount of players and has been doing it for years. Also the international speaks for itself...
@@ThatNorma I agree with you. Neither DOTA nor Valorant is a "dead" game, but LoL has ten times the active player count. That makes the game so much smaller in comparison in my opinion. But you're right it's nowhere near a dead game by itself.

Is this the effect of growing up, having streaming as an integral part of your life at a young age, accelerating growth and knowledge to yet unknown hights? Imagine having the input of thousands, not only regarding the game you play, but everything in life such as school, business, love or just life in general? It is like having the support of an AI, constant input on everything you do, say and to a degree think. I can see how this might give massive advantange to the few individuals who get to experience this privilage maturing into adulthood. Truly facinating phenomenon.
Damn, imagine not having to worry about your life like, at all, cause you're just that good... Feel like that could backfire, but he might aswell do school as a side-thing
The esports industry is tough man, just remember all the stress and future health problems it could potentially pose for monesy
btw he graduated this year from school(you either graduate after 9th grade, like monesy and go to college or graduate after 11th and go to uni) and should currently studying in college
Bro other esport titles (like league) tends to scout young players, bjergsen and faker are examples... Guess it's new to some in the cs scene but it's because you tend to not associate cs with "young players", but orgs signing minors are pretty common
Being a good cs player is impressive. Being a pro cs player spending most of your waking life staring at a monitor is a wasted life.
its sad more than any thing, i mean yeah he gets to make money playing video games or whatever but hes practically wasted his entire childhood on a videogame
11:40 i swear he said the n word💀
Here's the problem, they said the exact same things about Brollan. 16 year old prodigy, brought pointy fnatic, crazy online ability. He currently has the same elo and kdr as monesy in fpl. It would be amazing if this kid could crush is against the best in a few years time, the problem is that it's a story that has been told many times before.
Right, but Brillant did perform in T1, didn’t he? It’s just that he joined a team that just didn’t have what it takes.

2:53 "His beautiful little haircut" I mean yeah.
Dont want to put to much pressure and trust in him yet. he is very young i hope he can keep this up and dosnt get burnt out
I honestly thought this video was gonna be about B1t. In terms of performance alone, B1t is the next big thing in CSGO.

Jesus Christ this 1 million percent better than me at cs at 7 years old when I’m 22. This kid needs to get into the main Navi lineup he’s absolutely cracked
I actually think if he keeps improving he could be able to surpass s1mple in terms of individual mechanical skill, just watching his stream makes your jaw drop time after time, just depends on how well he can play with the team in tier 1 when he eventually gets there. To think that he is 7 years younger than s1mple and already so close in terms of raw skill..

Boombl4 is an entry fragger and an IGL, it is his job to make calls and create magic, it's him that made the decision, the rest follows it and the result of the match definitely goes against your statement , Navi is doing well with boombl4, and he is a good IGL, probably not the best, but good enough to make calls that are game changing.

The flick at 10:35 caused a sound I can't explain
Mechanically gifted. Game sense can only be proved in front on Tier 1 teams.
If B1t is any indication of what Navi is hiding in their camps, mOnesy will rain down hell alongside Simple and Electronic.
The question is, who can he replace? Perfecto is like the next clutchmaster and Boomich is an unpredictable genius.
the navi team is the correct formula right now, they just have to polish their minor issues and theyll be the next astralis, s1mple cant be replaced, electronic is basically the best rifler, b1t is the next screaM but better, perfecto is one of the best anchors and clutchers atm, and boombl4 has insane impact in crucial points of the game, that and his strat/shot calling has improved so much while he's been on the team. they also won the grand slam, so he is doing something right being the igl

“No”
Who would he replace in the current navi roster though? That's a problem because the only ones i can see him replacing are perfecto and boomich. Being support would waste his talent and he doesn't have the experience to igl a tier 1 team
i feel like b1t is s1mple's rifling part and monesy is s1mple's awping part, and if the day where s1mple no longer plays for navi or even csgo itself, b1t and monesy can fill in s1mple's playstyle separately.
b1t is hella good
Big respect to the homie
there's no space in Navi for Monesy to fit in, maybe after s1mple retires or chooses to play another role to let monesy be the X factor but other than that Monesy will most likely join another team then comeback to Navi as I don't see Monesy replacing Perfecto and B1t because Perfecto is one of the best support players NaVi have picked up and Monesy will have to play a much more unfavourable role if b1t was to move out

there is a difference between s1mple and every other csgo prodigy. s1mple could handle the pressure of being a player with big potential and he did know what he needed to reach his full potentital. there is more to it than being young and being really good at the game. his mental strength is off the charts.

The main navi roster looks stable for now the way they play CS towards around b1t, if b1t crumbles in major then m0nesy can take his spot i think

Imagine having a kid before even having a kid.
the main problem with Ilya is that he is in navi jr, cuz because of rules same org can’t have more than 1 team in tournament, and obv navi will choose their main roaster, so he’s sitting in jr team and spent his probably best chances for nothing, cuz we play academy league is his best chance at the moment
