First of all your pronunciation of the Kinyarwanda names of the towns is Top-notch👌🏾. The abandoned town you passed through was not affected by war; there hasn't been any war or conflict in Rwanda for the past 30 years. The houses have been washed away due to heavy rainfall and landslides that are so common in those hilly areas, especially in the rainy season.
Well done Henriette. That was a great ride. Those bridges were very sketchy at the least.🤨 You just keep amazing us on your journeys. Totally Awesome!!!
@@ForTheLoveOfWheels Thrilling episode! You are excellent at this stuff. Such a great team. These episodes ought to be distributed via a streaming platform like Curiousity Steam / Nebula the same as some other creators are doing.
Wow wow wow, that was a beautiful ride, albeit full of bridge challenges that you had to tackle. Glad you rode together here through bridgeland. The campsite and company look great, enjoy!
Ohh, I was happy to see that you had Martin for company coz one village looked a bit sketchy. It was nice to see you ride...you have such a nice stands on the bike. Good editing and nice music. Big thanks Henriette (and Martin)!!
Nkora is a fishing village, sometimes life can be a little bit rough there as people have a hard life. Good to see how you managed the river crossing and other challenges! Well done! 👍🏻
Yes, I feel my impression of the place doesnt quite do it justice. Good reason to go back. I wish, we would have stopped, had a break. Agreed with one person to help us, and we could have tipped him. The way it happened it got stressful and felt like we needed to get out of there. For sure just an emotion.
Great Video ... Great Trails...Great Scenery... Great Riding ... It was mostly just a lack of confidence that stopped you riding some of those bridges - you need to believe in yourself as much as I / we believe in you !
These parts being so scary only looks incomprehensible to the people with longer legs. I totally get what worried you there. And that one bridge that consisted more of air than planks? Two tall Teutons and a GS, and it would have ended in the river! 😵💫
Truly inspiring to watch you navigate your fears that must be very stressful. And you are setting new boundaries for female explorers Happy belated international women's day
This is such an interesting video. 'You can do it even when scared' you did so well.💪 The no corriander guy is also a patient man & came in handy for that route. Those wooden bridges 🤦🏾♀️ i thought Rwanda was doing better than this.

Yes, for many reasons I was happy to have Martin's company that day.
That's for the compliment on my riding! 😊🏍🔥
I made this trip in 2016 with the tiny TVS but without so much rain. It's tough, especially those bridges. Chapeau! 👍🏻
Oh cool Martin, respect!!!!

@@ForTheLoveOfWheels Totally fine to listen to your gut feeling :)
nice video I was in January 2023 and loved this trail. Then the wood bridge was not bad.
Really, that's just one month before us.

So true. It was scarier in real life than the video portraits. It doesn't really show how steep or rocky it really was.
votre video résume d'une façon artistique l'afrique en saison des pluies . Merci à vous deux .
🥰🥰🥰
Great Video and ride watching from Australia
Thank you David!

So scary! We chose a very remote trails, so guess we can blame the drama and wooden bridges on ourselves 😅
Wow - such beauty
Yes, Rwanda is breathtaking
Loved every moment.Come to Zimbabwe.
I am so bummed that I missed Zimbabwe. Your country was unfortunately still closed when I was close due to covid 😑
Awesome riding

Oh too bad. It's magical 😊🏍🔥
@@ForTheLoveOfWheels Did you had a permit for the drone filming? Usually, they confiscate drones at the boarder...
@E. Lincke I of course always make sure to follow local laws. Buuuut you might get a hint in the video from when I crossed into Rwanda.
Goed gedaan, echt mooi 👍
