To start I hope your cat gets better quick. Then into meat of things...They are capable of buying, yes, they were not misleading. I think the wording you should have used was what sort of price range could you give me for x. For the pricing on sets: To be fair the razor crest I was able to purchase for 250.00. I made a plan to get my razor crest for the max best price. I did some price watching on Amazon at a purchase price of 450.00. Minus 200.00 credit bonus for opening a new CC account. That's brand new in box. So if you open a Lego set you are going to lose money right off the bat. It is like driving a car off the lot, you lose 20-40% straight away. Now, everyone knows the stores are like this, that's how they make their living, buy/sell Legos. I will say this business owner is a bit more business savvy than yourself. No hate, no qualms against you, but if you need help, look towards your community here vs. a business. This will sound bad, but I think it is worth saying: The business they run does not owe you for making high dollar purchases for Legos. If you spend above your means and the cat gets sick, why are they beholden to give you more money? Devil's advocate now. Legos are way too expensive and we should not be paying these high prices. The root of the issue starts with Lego, but also with us the consumers that over pay for things. Final advice: save some money, prepare for the next situation before buying anymore Legos. I'll send some good vibes your way, and if you are still in need let me know.

Pretty much in a nutshell. The only miss was, I did ask them verbally if they have the means to purchase up to $1000 before hand, to which I was told yes. So to be told in store that they weren’t, was not fair. We all have opinions about the business end and how it should be handled.

So you can buy all Lego but you don’t have a saving account for emergencies? Then you complain about a small business? Sad man.

My situation is not for you to judge. I’ve expressed it in my videos several times that my sets are purchased by an investor. The goal is to build a channel to earn a living from. My family is under hardships due to the horrible nature of Las Vegas employment. We are relying on family to help us through until this all works out. The Lego, and my personal finances, are two separate things.

So you don’t even spend your own money to buy these sets but you’re getting so mad over not getting cash back for them?? Shouldn’t your investor be selling them to help you out then?? 🤔🤔🤔

Anytime you need to sell anything to a retail establishment you are going to lose 65%.

That’s an ok compromise percentage. I actually crunched the percentages afterwards. It’s a loss of 75, to 80. And if you ever used coupons for anything, you know how valuable 10% could be for you.

Came across this video randomly and while I will agree that yes that was pretty shitty this is just business. The going buy rate for big retail chains including this one is 35% if the evaluation is $1800 of sets then $630 is the correct amount for that store to offer you. This is why I don't deal with chains like that for anything whether it be lego, funko, video games ect they all cut you the same awful rate. Look at this more as a learning experience never to buy or sell from those sorts of stores again.

For sure. This was a unique experience because of the emergency. I would never usually try to make something like this work. I really hate how I asked several questions 24 hours before hand. To be told something entirely different. I have experience selling on my own, as I have business doing e-commerce. Currently I have been selling sets on my own for a move, and even discounting the sets %15 percent I’m doing incredible. I will make a follow up on this video and on my recent selling soon.

Don't you think that store has overhead to meet? Rent, utilities, payroll, as well as a fee to the franchise. They have overhead plus need to make a profit.

Of course. Why do you think I added a suggest cost break down. Of course it was to acknowledge possible expenses of the owner.

Unfortunately, the US does not provide adequate welfare for the unemployed here. In America we have some pretty twisted morals. Such as healthy teeth, is an out of pocket luxury, when teeth can kill you. Welfare, as it’s called here for the unemployed barely gets you a few hundred a month, when you need minimum 2,500 to survive. Anyway, the kitty is doing really well with diet. Thank you for watching.

I totally agree with you with your frustration. The Harry Potter vault GWP MSRP was $25.00. The resell on eBay is ridiculous. We need advocates like you to make the difference, and call businesses out that are price gouging.

I really tried to like that retailer. I thought it was just me but I always walked away disappointed and that I wasted gas driving across town for nothing.
