    Just replaced mine this weekend, and your video came in very handy. It's ridiculous that you have to do all that work just to replace a license plate light.🤦‍♂

    Dealer wants to charge $900 to replace the left bulb. I'll refer to this video to try it myself.

    So, in other words……..have the dealer install them!

    • @CaneSwag83-01
      @CaneSwag83-01  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dealer install is the other option. Not sure how much they charge. Have them do both at the same time. Thanks for the view

      Hyundai as well as other auto makers make repairs like this difficult for a reason. Dealers make more money in their service departments than retail sales. By making what should be a simple repair difficult for the DIYer, it creates profitable work for dealer service departments. I will bet that those replacement lamps from the dealer are very pricey. I had a headlamp blow out on my G80 recently. The dealer wanted over $300 for the lamp plus about $200 in labor. I bought the lamp for under $100 from a local auto supply that was identical to the Hyundai unit. It was a real PITA, but after a lot of disassembly and a couple of hours, I had saved a bit over $400.

    Do you have a sunroof? Did you have to go thru a recalibration process for that since the battery was disconnected?

    • @CaneSwag83-01
      @CaneSwag83-01  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No recalibration needed.

    My light is out on my passenger back side. It my reverse light that's on my truck. How do i replace it or get it back working? I went and ordered a new head lamp but come to find out it didn't need to be replaced.

      Job took about an hour. I used double-sided 3m automotive tape.

    The last piece of trim that sits right on top of the lights does not need to come off no? Can't the light push through the trim?

    • @livennlearn
      @livennlearn 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      actually i looked closer and see that it has to come off. It has a thin lip that makes it slightly bigger than the trip opening. smh what a pain in the ass.

    • @CaneSwag83-01
      @CaneSwag83-01  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Big pain, but if you want to save some money it's worth it. I would change out both so you don't have to do it twice. Thanks for the view.

      @@CaneSwag83-01 I thought the same thing. If you are opening this up might as well do both lights even if one still works. I also have to replace my camera. I just have a blue screen now.

      @@livennlearn camera is easy to replace. No need to take off cover. Rubber piece pops out and you can pop back in.
