It's great to see a reaction like this and realize that it still translates for people who didn't grow up watching GI Joe and kids' TV commercials in the 80s.
12:46 I think part of the joke might be that the character Ben Chang is Chinese, but the actor Ken Jeong is ethnically korean. I think they've made fun of this before with him getting offended because someone thought he was korean, although I don't recall exactly when.
Love me our regularly scheduled community! can't wait to see your reaction to the next episode cause its a two parter, and yeah that ending with Hickey and Duncan always cracks me up lol
@21:02 Comedic powerhouse Michael McDonald. Got famous on MadTV. Has psycho comedy ability. Has appeared in big things but for some reason never had a successful lead role in a movie or tv show, yet everyone that works with him thinks he’s the funniest thing in the room. He’s the guy getting killed in Austin Powers by the steamroller.
Even 2 cast members down, there are definitely things to love about this season. They'd so played out anything even close to relating to actual Community College they just went totally nuts with high concept episodes.
Ill he honest when Jeff mentioned "addicted to crisis" that hit a bit close to home...feels like this is a problem with the general public more than just Greendale 😅
Judging by this reaction, you guys did not grow up watching GI-Joe. Just an FYI, 90% of the cartoon portions of this episode were exactly how they were in the 80's, even all of the voice actors from the original GI-Joe series were reprising their voices (apart from Cobra Commander, as the actor had passed away). For an 80's kid, this episode was an absolute nostalgia bomb.
These two episodes both have weird corporate tie-ins. Hasbro allowed the use of G.I. Joe, and were fine with whatever they did with it, Subway allowed themselves to be portrayed as an evil corporation. To swing all this, apparently all they had to do was ask.

The endings with John Oliver are always brilliant. Now only one more Season 5 episode. :)

Yeh this is definitely the second time they've done this. It works every time 🤣
"oh there's a difference?"
Jeff and Shirley are about the same age. Remember they knew each other as kids. She may have been a year older? Big Cheddah.

@23:43 Jeff’s shirt specifically made for ties.
Jeff: casually dignified chest exposure.
😂
@4:34 Dan Harmon makes an appearance as “Sleep Apnea”.
Yet again, crisis averted by boobs.

Dang. Another comment bites the dust for no reason.
Great catch 😂

I used to work at Subway and funnily enough their online training modules are called Subway University
🤣 Of course it is.

Advertisers are basically suppliers, media are dealers. Lower class love a big headline to the main vain.
It's kind of weird isn't it? Why do we flock to it?
YESSS LET'S GO c:

My next one will be my - Happy its an old boy G.I Joesday.
Celebrating my midlife crisis with drugs from Koreatown sounds... like a plan.
😂
I'm turning 40 next year, I wonder if my crises will manifest as a cartoon. Hopefully it would be TMNT or DuckTales!
😂
You're getting Silverhawks and you'll like it!

Small clarification: GI Joe is owned by Hasbro.
