Back emf is the derivative of flux. Since d-axis is aligned with flux, the back emf which is 90 degrees out of phase is aligned with q-axis. There is no component of back-emf on d-axis.
Hello Professor, Given this model considers flux linkage modeling as: Phiq = LqIq and Phid = LdId+Phim should the d-axis circuit model voltage source at 23:18 be wr*Lq*Iq instead of wr*Lq*Id?
This is a standard equation for PMSM electromagnetic torque and the derivation is quite involved. You might need to look at a textbook such as "Analysis of Electric Machines by P.C. Krause" or something similar to learn how it was derived.
@@SandunKuruppu can you recommend any other books about PMSM? Because my german university doesnt provide the access to this book or maybe you have the PDF version somewhere? I really need it for my master thesis on Fully rated converter wind turbine based on PMSM...
@@SandunKuruppu sir my topic of project is torque quality analysis in permanent magnet motor..I don't know what i can do in this topic..read some research papers and saw video on utube but not able to get any desired information..just want to know what can I do on this topic..and where I will find related information..
This was an amaying lecture, also the whole series is very good and clear. Thank you!
You're very welcome!
dear sir! in 23:00, can you explain why the d-axis equation has no BACK-EMF? Thank you so much!

Yes, Jon it should be wr*Lq*Iq.
Sir, how do u get the equation at 3:29? I didn't see your previous video talking about this.
