Hello, Potassium permanganate test is supposed to be a detection of unsaturation of a hydrocarbon. Can I ask why did the cyclohexane (which is saturated) tested positive while toluene (unsaturated) tested negative? Thank you!

If you look to the back the original bottle says cyclohexene - hope that helps future watchers
