I semi restored a 47 2n. I was just amazed how large of a community and fan base there is online. Tons of people willing to share their knowledge on these old tractors

So true. We’ve always run Ford tractors. They are easy to operate and super reliable. Still tons of the old ones in daily use.

Hey thanks Mike. My shop is nothing fancy. It’s just a pole barn with metal roofing I built then poured a concrete floor. Does the job though. Just put a woodstove in there too so it’ll be a productive winter too. After this tractor is done I have 2 more ready to go in.

I bought a 1953 Golden Jube from a grandson when said tractor was in family since new, purchased from his granddad. All these old tractor if have calcium chloride in tires have rotted out rims.

Had the same rear rims on my 52 and I found out the hard way they were bad. Out plowing one day and one split right in half.

I own a model 950 Ford tractor I inherited from my dad. Do you have a video showing how to reset the separation of the rear wheels? My dad had them as wide as they would go. I need to bring them closer together. I have the shop manual from Ford, but it isn’t detailed on which lugs to loosen. I know once they’re loosened the wheels will walk themselves one at a time to the desired width, but I’m worried they’ll fall off in the garage.

Do you mean 960? Those were the tricycle front machine with the power adjust rear wheels. On those you just loosen the nuts and walk the tractor forward a little bit to space them out further. They won’t fall off. You’ll be all set
