Dark light legacy Xx It was pretty easy actually, I use a Japanese keyboard as well as an English one and Japan adopted most of its signs from China, so I just had to type them in. :)
The beginning, when you were talking about wan (万) reminded me of this joke my teacher used to tell. This young boy's father hired a private tutor to begin teaching him characters, and after the first day, the teacher only taught him the characters for one 一 two 二 and three 三. Now, the dad didn't know this, so when his son ran up to him all excited and bragging that he now knew every character, his father, confused and impressed, told him to get a piece of paper and write their family name. Guess what their family name was? It was wan. I don't remember if it was 万 or just a homophone, but the kid hadn't learned his family name and only knew that his family name sounded like 10000, so he thought in order to write his last name, he had to draw -- ten thousand times. He'd been trying for like an hour before his father checked on him.
Oh my god! You call me racist?? i CAN'T BELIEVE IT! Did you ever meet Asian people? I did ... from South Korea, as well as also from China and Japan. I meant with my comment before, that they all are very focussed on their job, what ever they do, they want to do it to perfection, sometimes more than it would be necessary to. I only wanted to point that out, nothing else. Sorry if the comment was misleading!
I'm actually learning Chinese right now and was a discouraged about continuing. This helped me to keep going even though I stopped my studying to watch this.😂
Tingting is not only my favorite ASMR performer, of which I have seen many, but all her videos about learning Chinese actually inspired me to do so. I always assumed that Chinese was a super complicated language that would impossible to learn without dedicated study at a University or through some kind of in-depth course. The math lesson reminded me of my 5th grade teacher; she tutored me in math after I missed a lot of school one year, and she was one of my inspirations for wanting to be a teacher myself. Unfortunately she passed away just before I started teaching. 😭
