Hey Ronnie. I can understand the situation with the vision. I'm also blind in one eye, but it's my right eye. My retina detached in 2010. I had surgery and they replaced the retina, but 6 months later, the retina detached again, same eye. So, now, I'm 100% blind in my right eye. Driving for me, is not really a problem. The problem lies depth perception basically only when I'm trying to play ball or frisbee or something like that. I do like to play pickleball which isn't really a problem until I get close to the net. I know you probably won't see this this, since it is 6 months since this video. I just wanted to share, just incase you look at your past videos.
Your message means a lot; thank you for taking the time to share your experience with me. It is hard to explain what we see to others, and having someone who gets it, comment is awesome. I appreciate you taking the time to share this comment. 🙏 Comment has been pinned!
That is excellent. Thanks for sharing this. I am sure folks will appreciate it for their own builds. I am going to try this in the next episode, giving you full credit for this awesome tip! Have a great New Year, and thanks again.
18 clicks give you 90°, not 45. I'd love to have some 'precepts', like pressing shift and mousewheel would change in 45° increments. Easier to build and to stack coolers, etc.
Hey, thanks! I wanted to give off that ranch feel, so I'm glad it came across. I appreciate the comment very much, and please let me wish you a great New Year.
Very nice design!! Yeah, I'm still learning how to build 😅 . I got lucky with my oil spawn. There's two next to the lady farm near the hardware store. Very close to each other. :) can't wait to see how your farm turns out!!
I appreciate your kind words! It means a lot to me. I keep things simple in the design, focus on good placement, and put production products close together, like dairy cows and chickens. In the first playthrough in season 1, I had to drive to get eggs. Thanks again, and Have a great New Year!
You make me want to start again! 😆 I can't believe you can stack logs that high on that little cart. That's good to know. I've been doing half that. Fencing is so frustrating, so I don't build enclosure square. It's like all abstract 😆 But I'm learning all these new things. Hoping once I've done everything, going to restart a new game, knowing what I know. But seeing your blueprint is inspiring. You have such great content and I'm so sad I'm only seeing it now.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad to hear that my content is inspiring you to start fresh in the game. If you like, I have a Discord, and you are very welcome to join us if you like! 😃😊 Discord: discord.com/invite/SyRAXwazPj
Thank you so much. I am definitely motivated for this build and am really excited to see how it runs as we go. Videos take a bit more time to make, but it will be worth it and hopefully improve the overall quality of my videos. Thank you again for always giving me the support, and have a great day!
Pro tip... to go back to hands after using build or whatever, just double click. Also, when your really grinding planks, 3 high end saws right next to each other allows constant production without waiting in between.

Hello Ronnie! I'm new to Ranch Sim and just discovered your channel! I love the gray hair on your character. Older gamer? I'm retired and TH-cam creation is my part time gig in my retirement. Who knew this was a thing and so FUN! Anyway, I love how you laid our your ranch using the building book. That never occurred to me. Sounds like you have some great subscribers with excellent tips! I'll have to go back and watch previous videos to get those tips. I'm only 20 hours into Ranch Sim (two saves - one PC and one on my Steam Deck). I'm new to simulator games and this one seems to be a ton of fun. Thanks for the vid and I'll be watching! *clicks on Subscribe*
I truly appreciate your kind words and support! It’s fantastic to hear that you’re enjoying the channel. I hope my tips help you and welcome to the Discord! If youneed anything just ask!
Thank you for stopping by; I appreciate it! If you like Season 2, consider checking out Season 3 live playthroughs on Sundays at noon EST. Have a great day, and again, thank you, my friend!
New to the game but not new to gaming. Completely on the same page as you when it comes to placing the fences. You did a great job lining everything up tho and I'm looking forward to seeing how your ranch turns out.
I know what you mean about the weather... I had 5 days of Storms and Rain. FIVE DAYS !!! It's so depressing. It's sad that they haven't fixed this in 7 months.
Thank you so very much, Britto! I am a bit surprised you saw this video. I am just a small channel starting the journey, and this is such a compliment to have a comment from you. I am honestly blown away. Love your work, and you are one of a few creators who has inspired me to do this in the first place. Thank you again, and have a great New Year!
Having only one silo bears the risk that you run out of food and starve your animals by accident. Happens not so much with cows and chicken, but a soon as you have pigs, they need one silo for themselves if they reproduce like rodents.
@@RPGamingPlays I have been looking around for recent Ranch Sim content and I have enjoyed your stuff. It is hard to find someone who takes the game seriously and also has some good design ideas :) I hope your channel becomes successful and you enjoy every minute of it :)
I can't express how grateful I am for your support. I just discovered your Medieval Dynasty Series with the new Oxbow update. Love that game with 300+ hours in it. Going to enjoy watching you discover the new map my friend.
Tip...when you build a greenhouse or planters, buy 1 jug of fertilizer and an empty cooler. Use fertilizer and leave a little in the jug, now place fertilizer jug in the empty cooler...remove fertilizer jug from cooler jug and it will be filled. Never have to buy fertilizer again. Don't let fertilizer run empty or you'll have to buy another fertilizer jug...just leave a little in the jug.
Congrats for 1k subscribers! I recommend you, if you want to start meat processing, to buy beef cows instead of Pigs, their sausages are more expensive with milk and eggs and you can get milk from the beef cows too. I wish you well, God bless you!
This sounds fantastic 👌 and I will give this a go on the ranch for sure. Thank you for taking the time to comment and passing on an excellent idea! Thank you too for supporting the channel, and I am still shell shocked that we reached the 1k mark on the channel, and it is all thanks to viewers like you!
Cutting Wood tutorial: 1) If you place the saw beside the trailer of logs, 2)Then position yourself so the cursor is focused on the trailer & the install for the saw 3) whalla, just click away...
Once you decide a direction you want to go in on your land, you use 18 mouse wheel clicks to turn the fence in the new direction. If you need more help, we have a Discord with more detailed examples 😊 Link is in Channel about section or check out the season 3 live plays on Sundays, and we can demonstrate it as well.
My wife has a bit of a lazy eye - it works, but it'll start veering off to the side while talking to her. When we met, she said "Dont freak out, but I have a thing with my eye. She's not lazy, she just doesn't work as hard as my other one"... this is why we're married...
Thank you for sharing this with me. What a great sense of humor your wife has. You are a fortunate man! Tell her I said hi and thank you for this comment 🙏👁
I completely agree, building fences can be a real challenge! But displaying the angle in degrees under the fence would definitely make it a lot easier for everyone. Great suggestion! Thank you for the great comment and best wishes for a great New Year!
For the life of me I can't get the fences to line up properly with the foundations no matter what I try. the fences end up misaligned with the foundations and I always have either gaps or short sides.Especially on longer fence lines.
Good to have you back, RP of G! Happy new year, may your wishes come true, both in gaming and in life. Ronny the pirate, then? That explains the channelname. I dunno, I just love you, bro! I love your idea of a "homeless shelter", just some material, a place to sleep, nothing fancy and gets the job done. Your layout is stunning, I'm sitting here with pencil and paper, taking notes and re-thinking my own ranch... again. At 2:59 you show us the place where you 'store' your animals before you send them to the pens. Problem: There's no fence separating the holding pen from the outside world. Your animals just walk up the ramp and are on their way out. Let's continue the vid. - The fence problem: if anything not designed to snap is too close to anything, the blueprint would show up red. Here it is the fence, but also gates, player or cars too close would result in not being able to place it. - "Gonna get this done or else I'm wet." - that's what she said. :D - Good luck trying to keep the pigs in check. They get each other pregnant before you can see their gender. Might happen you end up 'sweet home alabama' mode before you can move them apart. One sow, 4 piglets, one of them male and the cycle starts again. Only thing to stop it is to hawk over them until the piglets don't need their mom and then put each of them in an extra spot, far away from each other and the rest of the pack. I'd love to see how this will work for you. - Placing the house: It's close to the pigs but quite a bit away from the cows. I dunno if you gonna use the kitchen to produce sausages, but the cows will give enough milk to use for cheese AND extra for sausages. on the other hand, if the middle section is free of animals, you can still run over, drop the milk bucket/big cannister and back before the milking machine is gone. - some extra knowledge: Each milk cannister (what are they called in english? The big metal things?) can hold 42 liter of milk, which is the amount of 3 cows when 'harvested' with the milking machine. If you really want to place 3 cows in one of the smaller pens, buy a decent amount to cannisters, cooker and pots. Each cannister serves 6 pots of curd/cheese starters, which in turn fill an entire aging cabinet for cheese. The mold only serves 5 pots, so be careful not to click on the last pot without the mold. If you are like me, at some point you'll have 3 coolers with mold starters, 10 coolers with ready cheese to sell and about 30+ coolers with raw pigs because they bred like crazy before running out of food. So an extra silo is failsave to keep at least the cows and chicks alive.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! Happy New Year to you, too, and may all your wishes also come true. I'm glad you're enjoying the "homeless shelter" idea! So, this is a lot to unpack, but it is essential information. I will cover changes to the layout in the next episode that I feel solve many problems before we buy the first cows. We will start with only a few cows and grow over time, making any adjustments if needed. Your comments and suggestions are solid, and I am definitely listening! Very excited to hear what you think of the off-camera tweaks I have made coming in the following video so we can continue this conversation.
