I don't have the car nomore just unplug the 12v power supply from the car outlet on the back of the wire harness take a test light to it. it's only 2-3 wires let me know if you get it...
Great video. Thinking of doing this in my 2023 Titan. Fsctory monitors are 🗑 tbh. Wondering if i can simply use the existing wire setup to power these for an ultra clean look. But, I'll have to buy new headrests cuz I don't wanna be that dude with 2 mointors on each seat 😂

@MRTGM I wouldn't even attempt it. Tried stereo installations for a year or so back in the day and said "never again" 🤣. Much worse now. I'm just hoping I can tap into what I already have that REQUIRES me to sign into the truck wifi provided by AT&T pf course. No option to connect via Hotspot. So I am to change that, even though I won't use it that often.

I haven't taken the front radio out but I pretty sure their is a input for video, and if their isn't you can go buy a input line in tap into the video source but I'm sure their is one on that unit. Yes you can have audio coming out the speakers. Thank you🤝🏿

Thanks... they give you so much play in the cord it doesn't have an effect on the cord just give yourself a little play for the seat to go back and forward remember I ran the wire through the seat only needed to have a little play at the bottom I had the slack behind the power outlet couldn't see no wires

All you gotta do is disconnect the plug outlet and take a wire tester to it. their should be 3 wire ones positive ground, (continuous power) meaning power all the time. Black goes to the ground of the car. Test the other two with a tester. Turn the car on accessories and test the wires, the wire that stays on when the car off is the continuous wire the yellow connects to this one. The wire that lights up only when the car is on. is the positive wire that should be connected to the red.
Do you have a option on your s550 to plug 🔌 a charger in. If so, that's wat your going to tap into. There are only 2 wires on that outlet ground, and positive use your tester to determine which wire is your positive. Dont tap into the ac power. I had my car for year recently traded it in at Mercedes benz and everything checked out they actually gave me more money for my trade cause of those rear monitors I never had any issues.so I'm a 1000% sure you will be fine
It's only 2 or 3 wires right get a wire tester at autozone turn the ignition on In Test the harness with your wire tester you don't have to cut any wire to figure out the hot wire. Just put the test inside the harness by the power outlet in the back seat

Hello TGM. My tv setup has 3 wires. Black, Red & Yellow. I watched U & Wayne R. setup both of yall only used Red & Black wire only. What do I do with my Yellow wire?🤔
The yellow is for continuous power if I'm not mistaken you can hook it up to a power source that always stays on. Or just hook it up to the red wire it will be fine
@MR. TGM Remember, I don't want my battery drained overnight/sitting still. I just want it to come on when I start car. Should I just tape off/Close off yellow wire?🤔
It won't it cuts off when you cut the car off that's why you hook the power wire up to the outlet. I had mines ran like that and had no issues they come on when the car is started and cut off when you turn the car off. It will be fine
Grab a test light, ground is black you have to test the positive wire with a wire tester to determine which wire is the hot wire it should only be 2 wires after you find your ground. Turn the ignition on in test your wires.

@@MRTGM same one. 2017 Benz s550. I un-did the airvent in the arm rest and see exactly what you see. The 2 cords but I have no clue how to connect those cords to my TVs. I got just about the same TV set as u, just a dif brand.

Turn on your wifi go to smart view on your phone click on the name of the monitors and it should pop up
