Raul and Mavs pay tribute to the late Doug Sahm & Freddie Fender of the Texas Tornados, Tejano music. A lot of their fans are fans of the Mavericks. They ALL played in many of the same clubs in Texas. Augie Myers & Doug helped usher in Tejano Tex Mex aided by Freddie Fender & Flaco Jemenez, Texas+country+Mejicano= Tejano. They may have there own band, but many of the musicians jam together when they're not on tour, ie; Augi, Guerro & Raul jam out together, same goes with Eddie, Dwight & Flaco have their gigs, Texas has given us a lot talented musicians. The late blues/Jazz rock artist Stevie Ray Vaughan was from Texas! :o)
