Some scary moments from a track day at Cadwell Park

We normally have good riding standards on Classic Bike Track Day events but sometimes I misread what other riders are doing, and sometimes my caution keeps me out of trouble.
And sometimes it doesn't......
I'm not pretending to be a star rider, and you can see from my other videos how slow I am. All I'm doing here's showing how I misread things and how I get easily scared !

It's a track day , it's your responsibility to overtake clean if you think you're faster

I'm not fast but I did overtake cleanly when I got the chance !

You've got to remember that it's not a race. It's a play day where many of the riders have to ride the bike home after and don't want the pain, cost and inconvenience of coming off. It's just a bit of fun for most.
I had a mate who thought he was fast (on the road), but when he went racing at Cadwell he was shocked to be trailing around at the back and getting lapped. He gave up after one season as he couldn't stand the hit to his ego.

You’re right, it is a play day (which is why I don’t go to No Limits). My ego disappeared decades ago and keeps getting put away every time my mate laps me!

TD traffic is tricky, especially with CBT that there is a huge variety of riders/age/experience/machines/tyres.

Critiquing other riders at a trackday like that gives me the impression that you think you're better than everyone else.
It's not a race and bar courtesy and patience going both ways. You really should expect the rider next to you to do the unexpected as they are not professional.
There's always going to be a competitive element, but dont forget you're booked on for fun in a safer environment than the road.

Yea ! I know! I’m slow and far from perfect, as you can see when I nearly ran out of road at Coppice!!
I’m simply showing some of the hazards of a track day, and how easily scarred I am !

You can tell because they all get their knee off but keep their head perfectly central on the bike.... roundabout warriors.
