So basically:
it's from daihatsu
Toyota has to get it's carbon copy to compete on hunchback or *"sub-compact crossover"*
it was from Malaysia I think to japan now made open to other asian countries, but most features only available on Malaysia and japan, by features I mean some fortuner features.
it was released earlier on 2019/2020 on those country and is now available in ph in 2022. ( but less features to compete with the price )
And now that it's here, it looks like a cool small simple, one person car.
A car good for a family of 5, a student, a doctor, a worker, going from point A to point B of the road.
Basically, your getting simple car that is cool and comfortable. nothing much, nothing less, just right, like the Goldilocks.
So to the bollocks out there comparing this to the sub-compact SUV/Crossover, hunchback, but it's actually bigger, stronger, faster, more space than the Raize, get your ego checked up, because your acting like a kid who always wants to win and has unresolved issues.

Everyone says that this is perfect for the entry level/new drivers, yuppies basically. But this would also be perfect as a retirement car, for the lolos and lolas. Pang mall and driving around the village lang. =)

definitely ideal for senior Citizens or PWD because its size and ground clearance , not too high but not so low . Very convenient to drive in narrow roads and tight parking space
Exactly why we're getting the Raize! My mom is retiring this year and coincidentally so is our 2007 Avanza lol

@C! Magazine , it's a 2013 Sportage... a subcompact SUV should suffice.
@@alexigs If you need to either downsize or you want to be under the Toyota care, then I think you should trade.
But keep in mind that the Sportage is way bigger and if you have the diesel variant, it is more fuel efficient.

Thanks for this review. This is the car choice I made for my daughter working there in Manila who needs to drive her own car. I just wanted her to be driving a safe, reliable and dependable car on and of course with fuel efficiency considering gasoline prices.

If I may suggest, choose the Raize. Toyota is Toyota. Kia (and Hyundai) have engine issues and are involved in several recalls in other countries. Worried that there will be same issues here in our country.

Syempre pag maliit ng kotse, maliit yung 2nd row. Pero compared sa ibang maliit na kotse, mas malaki yung Raize.

True, but considering the Chinese brands are actually selling, Daihatsu could still do well. It could be the Japanese alternative to the Chinese brands lol. #Poormans Toyota?
We will be getting ours by the end of this week. So excited! It's also 1.2L G variant cause Turbo is currently out of stock and we're fine with it because there's not that much difference between the two considering the 100k+ price difference.

Hello napansin ba ninyo ung cvt gear stick medyo hindi siya smooth when changing gears? Normal lang ba un kasi bago lang?
@@zepcubacub8234 Personally hindi ako nagpapalit ng gears, lagay ko lang sa drive ok na. Yung driver namin ang laging pag nagdadrive ala manual transmission pero ok naman daw. Suggestion ko tapusin nyo muna pag break-in kung di pa tapos mga 1k km tutal ibabalik din naman yung unit sa toyota i-observe muna. Pag walang pagbabago ibring up nyo sa dealer/agent.

Both are good options. The Geely Coolray at its price is more car while the Toyota Raize is backed up by a trusted company.

I think the Vios has slightly more interior room, if we were to base it on wheelbase.

The airconditioning in the Raize is excellent! The 1.0 Turbo and the 1.2 G have auto climate control.

Toyota Raize: 2525mm
Which means the Kia Stonic is 2 inches longer in wheelbase, which means they are similar in interior car size.

Don't be deceived by its Looks and low price . Try to check the MG ZST, Chery Tiggo5, Geely CoolRay Comfort and the newly Launched GAC GS4. This four Chinese cars way Way better than the Toyota's Daihatsu real made Raize in terms Price, power, comfortability and value for money. Buy and Choose wisely.
Those cars you mentioned are also great choices at its price. All have their pros and cons.
But yes, I totally agree that we should all make an educated decision before we buy.

I just got my Toyota Raize 1.2 G CVT about 2 weeks ago and I am really loving it. If you are a fast driver and wants to really speed up the Turbo Variant would be suitable for you but you still can never go wrong with the G Variant. 😉😉😉

In terms of comfort, it will surely be as comfortable as any sedan, which I think is good. The bigger advantage it has is the 200mm ride height it has, making it handle the imperfect NCR roads. Hi sir, noob question. May issue po ba sa CVT? May nakikita kasi ako comments na disappointed sila na CVT ginamit sa AT nila.
Sa ngayon, mas smooth yung CVT at wala siyang problema. Pag maliit yung kotse, mas bagay talaga yung CVT.
