    I've been using my Raize Turbo for 3 months already (reserved February, received unit 4 months later on June), and this review is spot on. The turbo + CVT combo has surprisingly good response and the midrange punch is better than many 1.5 NA sedans and even the 2.4 Fortuner. The feature set is not the best but pretty good (already miles ahead past Toyotas, mind you) with 6 airbags, blind spot monitor and rear cross traffic alert (though prone to false triggers often). Suspension however feels too bouncy for me at the recommended 35psi for all 4 tires, I might try reducing it to 32 to see if it helps. I also really love the dash mounted cupholders.
    My lease favorite part is definitely the interior. For the price, I was expecting better fit and finish as well as build quality. I am okay with hard plastics, I just wish they were built better. For example, my old Innova and Vios are also filled with hard plastics but the fit and finish is solid. After just 3 months of use with my Raize however, there are already a fair amount of rattles from the dash cupholders, passenger door panel and speaker trims. I guess it is here where you see the difference between a real Toyota and a rebadged Daihatsu. The interior fit and finish feels like it belongs to cars half its price. Other than that, the Raize is a decent option for the price.

      @@cammac66 Raize actually is a nice car, obviously not the best. Nakaka disappoint lang un sound system , walang aircon sa likod and poor interior finish, considering the raize turbo is high end. Tunog lata ang sounds and all hard plastic interior haha. But there are more pros than cons naman.

    I don't midn the vibration basta ang mahalaga may kotse ka and it serves you going to point A to point B, economical and you love your car. Thanks for the review! ngayon lang ako nainlove sa car and I would love to buy toyota raize soon! praise God sa lahat ng blessings!

    I was so ready to buy this car but got turned off by the build quality that was uncharacteristically Toyota. Mr. Vince is right, should've just left it as a Daihatsu.

      Quality reflects on the country wc manufactured the car, as well as the target market. In Japan, Daihatsu goes toe to toe against Toyota, Honda and Nissan in terms of build quality and design, esp with their Kei cars and their vans.

      Same same. Paint is thin and interior trims are not that aligned. Not truly a Toyota unlike the Hilux, Land Cruiser series, Corolla Altis, Camry, and all their global models

    i got mine last week white turbo and i like it compare to my fortuner it drinks a lot of gasoline not like the raize easy to drive so small

    The water in the container does not seem to be moving. Meaning, the engine is not actually vibrating as what the guy is saying.

      Nah it was vibrating.. ripple effects were visible, probably just not that very clear since it was taken from a far point..

    Great review again, everything was well laid out by Sir Vince to sum it all up why it's a bit too affordable for a loaded, TOTL small subcompact crossover. Tho I do agree, there are other better choices out there if you do want some refinement and better build quality.
    The Raize is definitely a Daihatsu, so there's always that to think about.

      May 6 kasi cars kami, Montero 2022, Raize Turbo 2022, corolla cross 2022, suzuki swift 2017, Nissan juke 2017 and ford fiesta 2013, pag city driving Raize turbo ginagamit ko, pinaka comfortable at sobrang tipid at tulin. Hinding hindi kayo magkakamali sa japanese car, wag kayo nag kokorean, chinese and american brand kung ayaw niyo sakit sa ulo. Wag kayo maniwala sa mga hindi owner ng raize haha hater lang yan parang ako nung una bago bilin raize namin hater din ako ng raize.

      Nag subic kami balikan gamit raize turbo kasi sa carworld subic ako nakakuha ng available unit ng montero. 514kms inabot may kasamang gala. 20km/L may kasamang harurot. Malambot suspension. If performance ang tatanong mo kasing bilis ng 1.5 na engine ng honda. Wala lang cruise control kaya mas pagod sa tplex kesa pag nagamit ako ng kotseng may cruise control. May body roll pero hindi naman matindi. Hater ako ng raize ng una dahil mukhang wigo na pinalaki pero nagbago isip ko nung nakagamit na haha.

    wala ding front defogger yan. so pag umuulan at kapiling ka, ang hirap mag drive nyan..
    all daihatsus ni toyota dont have front windshield defogger for some unknown reason.

    Toyota as a brand will lose more than half of their share of the market if they brand their Daihatsu-sourced cars as Daihatsu.
    The list goes quite long: wigo, avanza, veloz, rush, liteace, raize-and then the forthcoming vios…all of them are Daihatsu!
