It is actually mostly the rhythm structure. In rock and pop, beats 1 and 3 are usually emphasized. But in “Bad Valentine” and “Rolling in the Deep”, the four beats in each bar have (almost) the same emphasis. That creates a very distinctive stomping and forward-moving effect. It may be because I've been following Angelina since she was a child, but I am so sick of the 'Amy Winehouse' comparisons. She's a little similar to Amy but she's so much more. It may be because I've been following Angelina since she was a child, but I am so sick of the 'Amy Winehouse' comparisons. She's a little similar to Amy but she's so much more. I wish reactors were more originals or creative. It's to be expected I guess. This is great original by Angelina. She's 18, by the way has been a star since she was 7. I’ve had many people who hear her voice for the first time say she sounds like Amy Winehouse. Even AJ, herself, has said she is honored to be compared to Amy. No need to criticize reactors who genuinely hear similarities to Amy.
The classic Porsche she drove in her video for Love Don't Let Me Go, was rented for the video shoot just like the Mustang was for this video. I think her Mom occasionally lets her drive the family Rolls Royce. She seems to like "nice" cars!!!

To the comparison: I think for people who haven't listen to her very much yet, and know about her 1000 voices, styles and choices the most obvious is AW and Adele. And people need/like to categorize new impressions for easier comprehension brain-wise.
