I had no idea Moto Racer Advance had gone up so much in price! I got a loose copy years ago when Game Stop was clearing out all their GBA stuff. I picked it up for like 5 bucks. I had to have it because it looked so cool!

That Tiny Toons game looks pretty good.

I just started yesterday to play Boktai on GBA. Kojima was a genius! And not having a super sunny day making the bosses fights harder is so cool haha
Picked up a complete copy of DemiKids Light a few years ago thrifting. Can't remember what I paid at the moment but it was probably only a few dollars. Had no idea that the price jumped so much. I think it was like $80 or so when I found it.
Drill Dozer is a great game that is best to experience with the rumble on the GBA. I was lucky to find one at my local used game store for $130.

I found tons of sealed copies of Drill Dozer for $4 each at EB Games in the late 2000s. At the time I thought “Damn that’s cheap but I already have my copy I got for $20 no need to get another.” Oops.
For some reason my local GameStop had a copy of drill dozer for like 10 bucks. I thought it was a mistake or a fake copy. But nope! I just scored a $100 game for 10 bucks!
@@frempy4426 - Yeah, I saw new copies in stores that were heavily discounted. I picked up a copy due to how inexpensive it was not knowing if I would truly like this game.

Wow, I never realized Sega Rally Championship and Moto Racer Advance were so absurdly expensive! Both are great games, but…man, those prices are rough! Ninja Five-O is one I knew was the most expensive, but what a cool game! I wish that’d return as a remaster in some way for the Switch (or even a GBA Switch Online app to play it on). The Tiny Toons game actually looks fun too! Awesome video as always man!

It's worth noting that one of the lead designers of that Tiny Toons game went on to work on Vice City, San Andreas, Mahunt, Bully and then became lead designer for GTA 4 and 5.

Holy shit I didn't think Battlebots would be so expensive these days! My cousin got me a copy for Christmas one year and now I'm actually really glad I have it lol! Pokemon Emerald I can kind of understand and am also lucky to own. While not as expensive, I did recently get a copy of Shining Soul II.

In the PAL region ( I know this video only covers NTSC, but still worth a mention) there is this game called The Morning Adventure: Mañanitos Bollycao. There were only 3000 copies made and it was a promotional item in Spain. It's a completely legit, official Nintendo licensed game you could only get by going to a specific supermarket and being these type of sweetrolls and with each one you'd get a coupon. After getting a bunch of them you could send it in to the publisher and they'd send you the game.

Might have heard about Moto Racer Advance, not exactly a name that sticks with you, but man those graphics are impressive (and early in the GBA life as well).
7:29 Pokemon Emerald was the first game I ever pre-ordered for me.
hopefully the battle network collection that is coming out next year will drop the gba game's price

Probably the most fun to play multiplayer since it got rid of a lot of the bs that the other battle networks had although I think from a single player standpoint it’s pretty bland to be honest. I still like all the battle network games, really looking forward to the collection coming out

I still have my childhood copy of Pokemon Emerald, which I took such good care of, but when I bought it, the store had slapped a massive sticker over most of the box art. I removed the sticker as a kid, but it’s caked in this horrible glue residue 😭

Try using nail polish remover. Not loads, just wet a cotton ball with it and rub it in circles.
@@maximumbeans9310 I didn’t have any acetone, but did have IPA, so tried the cotton bud circle thing with that. It helped a bit, but I might have to try what you suggested. Much easier with 3DS games as you can just swap the case!
@@worldsboss Cool, hopefully it helps! I’ve had good results with it before so fingers crossed. You’re right, classic GBA cases are so nice to have but the modern plastic swaps are much easier.
To this day i still have a copy of Emerald that my best friend gave to me back in 6th grade as a gift since he owned 2 copies. Surprisingly it still has the original battery and still saves after almost 20 years.
These are complete in box prices. If you only want the game then some of these prices are a lot less.
Surprised car battler joe wasn’t mentioned, even when I wanted to buy the game back in 2008 it was already going for about $50 loose at that time and now I believe it’s like $200 loose and $500 complete

Battlebots: Beyond the Battle box cart only $20, Cart+Manual $180.00, Complete $650.00. Soooooo $630 for some cardboard and paper. What a world we live in.
Fire emblem blazing blade is also quite expensive on gba for a complete copy
I got the second Boktai(without the sun sensor), for like ten bucks on ebay. I only got it for Megaman Battle Network 5: Double Team DS, for the SolCross bonus. Surprisingly, I found MMBN5: DT DS on ebay for less than twenty bucks.
Last time I was on ebay, I saw MMBN5: DT DS being sold with MMSF3: Black Ace for less than twenty bucks.
The second Boktai ALWAYS had the Sun Sensor as it was a special cartridge.

Proud owner of Boktai 2. Friend told me to buy it secondhand in 2017, I paid $40 CAD.
Ninja Five-0 looks like a cross between Invincible Iron Man and GG Shinobi.
I have both MMBN6, both Demikids, Pokemon Emerald, Boktai 2, and Pocky&Rocky with Becky... but only loose copies. RIP.
I think the loose copies still go for a decent amount as well!
Boktai 2 and 3 are amazing Megan battle network 4-6 are my favorite

I had boktai 1 for 4 dollars in target at the time then my cousin took it and in 2013ish i bought it again for 12 dollars i thought it was a bit much at the time but now seeing the worth of it im glad i got it in time

When I do pick up GBA games, it's usually as a cheap but rare find on market stalls, so I'll be quite surprised if I own or will find easily any games that appear in this video... but let's find out.
3:56 - As a fan of the first Boktai, I would like to own the sequel as well. Not if it is going to cost over £300 though; a quick look online showed it for around £20-£40 unboxed, though I'd be unsure if such cheap prices could be trusted. Wait... 4:53 you live in Wales; why are your prices listed in dollars then?
7:29 - Oh... well I do happen to own a rare and expensive game it seems. Given Pokémon sells so well, I imagine many copies are made for it. As a result, it surprises me to see the Pokémon games so expensive all the time.
16:44 - Ninja Five-O looks real cool... though I think my mind keeps mixing/fusing it with Ninja Cop... wait, turns out they are the same game. That would explain why.
Summon Night Sword Craft story 1 and 2 are also rare and expensive.
I bought Mega man battle network 6 at a flea market for very cheap a few years ago, it was the only game that seemed good out of the very few games that the person was selling there, I guess I lucked out. 😗

It's pretty weird to see a Tiny Toons game released over a decade after the show ended.
Most Pokemon gen 1-4 games are expensive. Probably sue to supply and demand. Millions were sold when the game was released so the game isn't actually rare. However, some people sold or gave away their original copy after playing it after a few years. Some years later they feel nostalgic for it and want to play it again. There are a lot of people who want to revisit their childhood games and don't plan on giving it away again so avatable copies are becoming rarer. Day after day they become even more rare. People are willing to cough up some money to do so. So listers will just keep the price high. As the game becomes rarer, they will list the game even higher. So if you ever see a Pokemon game for rather cheap at a flee market, garage sale, or anywhere else buy it. Just try to make sure it's the real thing.

Invader is the rarest game I won, PAL only though ofc, not the NTSC region.

I paid about £45 for Bk2:SBD and about £110 for Pkm:Em, both off E-Bay.

Ninja 5-0 used to go about $5 used at Gamestop yeeeeeears ago. That's where I got my copy.
Yep I got mine for $7.99 back in 2009 from EB games. As much as people hate to hear it TH-camrs recommending games and calling them “hidden gems” really killed the market cough cough metal Jesus cough cough.
I got that Tiny toons Game for 4.99 when My local Gamestop was about to close.
I collected GBA games a few years ago and I have a few of these. I had Pocky and Rocky with Becky when it released but I got rid of it because it was so bad.
Yeah it’s a huge shame as well as the earlier titles were solid!
Yeah I can’t blame you, the game was a major letdown for me as well it felt like an extremely rushed version of the game compared to what we got on the snes. Gba still had a good amount of run and gun games so it wasn’t that big of a deal to me

@@jeffcox6539 yeah I believe it was supposed to be a remake of Kiki Kai Kai so you are correct. I wasn’t a fan of it at all and I think I traded it for a pga tour golf game on ps2 back then 😂

I have emerald. Although the battery would need to be changed I think... I got it for like 50 bucks a few years back... never played it other than to test it. Not really a Pokemon fan. Don't know why I wasted 50 on it to begin with...

It's funny, Scary Dreams being one of Treasure's least interesting or engaging games still says so much about the amazing quality of their games. Scary Dreams is not super engaging, but they built off of the mechanics for Omega Factor and created one of the best games for the system. Great video as always!

Don’t forget you can hack them so their not so rare as you think they are the only games so far that’s rare are the ones you can’t hack on PS4 xbox one like Godzilla for PS4 go try hacking it if you were able to hack them Sony would band your account for non payed games that’s digital so I say don’t try hacking any other consoles that has a store
