    I have long Covid with headaches being my biggest crippling aspect. I am an office manager and accountant for a small new psychology office who have been wonderful in understanding my inability to do much. This video made me cry as u explained bc i realized it is so relatable now being in this position. Showering and blow drying my hair is the big struggle when before i was going in 27 directions and fine with it. Today im not but i will be someday. Thank you for giving me a way to explain this to my close people. ♥️

    This is the most beautiful app I have ever seen!!!!! I am typing this through tears. I will be showing my family and everyone I know this so they can know why I can only do so much. It is been such an awful struggle with them😓 I don't know exactly which type of autoimmune disease I uave just yet. My doctor thinks with my test results combined with my symptoms, it's RA, so I have an appointment with a rheumatologist on July 26th.

      I understand. :) We tried to make it easy! You can now carry over activities from previous days so that's less typing. :)

    Hi, thank you for a wonderful video. I have the app downloaded, but I don’t know if you can help me but yesterday I used about 13 spoons when it came to bedtime and the app stated that I would have to borrow one spoon for the next day which was fine but when I clicked on today’s spoon activities it’s stated that I had 12 spoons, which is what you normally meant to have and I automatically assumed it would say 11 because yesterday I went over to 13 spoons so I automatically thought it would say 11 is there something that I’m doing wrong where the apps not actually recognising that it needs to take away one spoon if you get what I mean?

    Thank you so much for your app. When I searched for a spoonie app I did not expect to find one. I was also thinking of making my own haha.

    Thank you for such a great video. I’ve downloaded the app because I have chronically leukaemia and sometimes it’s only my mum that can tell when I am physically exhausted, so I’m hoping this will help me know when I’m out of energy. is it one spoon for each activity in the categories as I’m confused about that?

      Hi Kate - it’s going to be completely subjective for you. Often I have folks looking for a literal key but it’s impossible to make a perfect one for everyone. For example some people find a bath to give them back a little energy and other people like me would find it completely exhausting. I’d try using the app for a few days and log your activities and regulate where you feel. Your spoons are going based off your personal experiences. :) good luck, and take care of yourself!

    Thank you for providing such a helpful app. I would love to use it without giving personal information. Is that possible?

    • @julieblackburn9594

      To have a record of your logs (so that it will save into your app interface) we need to have something to connect to. Right now, the only thing personal you are sharing is your email, which we never share with any other entity. You are welcome to use a false name, and even make an email that is custom only for this app.

    Why can you only use the app with an iPhone?

    • @spoonieday8116
      @spoonieday8116  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We do intend to push it out to the Google play store as well, but we haven’t had a lot of resources to make that happen yet. (It is my intention to always keep this app completely free - but that means all the development cost come completely out of my pocket, which makes things go slowly.) However, It is available as a web app, which you can use on any device - even a desktop. :)

      @@spoonieday8116 If you ever charge for this app, it will be worth every single penny. I would pay for sure so I can have something real to show people why I can't do everything they can. These invisible diseases are extra rough when your own family just doesn't understand and as a result are not very patient with you.

    What is the benefits of this theory??

    • @julieblackburn9594
      @julieblackburn9594 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can help people with energy management without being very literal.

      I find it really hard to get my husband and kids to understand why I can't do all the things I could before. I now have something they can see to help them understand better so hopefully they will have more patients with me.

    why spoons tho

      We tried to explain this in the video, it's because Christine Miserandino used spoons to explain energy reserves to her friend. Spoonie is now a part of the chronic illness culture.
