I loved this show when I watched it two years ago. I was pretty creeped out because I don’t do horror well and the basement scene is similar to the way my basement steps look so I was very nervous about going down to do laundry
I had soooo much fun watching this show. I remember like every week id stay up until like 3am waiting for the new episode to drop, and even my bf likes it which is impressive bc he hates the og pll hahaha
THIS is honestly, to me at the very least, how pretty little liars should be. for me, the books were a lot darker, and yes, the first a in the books - which was also mona - was still also creepy but also still in the.. medium.. stalker-y type. but when ali and nick took over in the books they get a lot more crazier, which for me can also be seen in some of charlotte's attacks during her reign as a. but sadly the writers didn't dive deeper into it because they took a lot more in time in giving us cliché high school dramas and love stories, which is fine to me, but what makes "pretty little liars" so different than the rest of the teen dramas during its time is because of the mystery! and i'm talking crazy shit like burying your own daughter, the dollhouse, and the lodge fire, and it's such a big missed huge opportunity that the writers did not invest more in these things. edit: i know this is already a long-ass comment BUT i was just like "OH!" i gotta ask you.. have you try watching the other spin-off? as in "pretty little liars: the perfectionists"
