I have a 2023 Chevy Blazer RS with the twin clutch AWD that can truly torque vector instead of the brake based systems, I wish this had a similar system , I’d totally buy it.
I involuntary was holding my breath! The front-end was too close for comfort not to mention possiblilty of bottoming out. Yet, made it up the hill. I love it. I have one of these on order. Super excited! Lots to love about this car. I put my money on this car over RX350h. Better value. Not to mention, you cannot get a RX350h without accepting $3k of upgrades I not only did not want but priced me out of getting the upgrades I wanted - this is what white color crime looks like folks. Not too many of us have a shit ton of cash to get features on a car we dont want/need.
Bravo to your comment on “white collar crime.” I didn’t have thousands of extra bucks for a Premium Plus trim just to get a tan Napa leather interior. Me, I had to special order from Mazda in Japan a CX-70 PHEV Premium to obtain one in this same, unique Melting Copper Metallic color that did NOT come with a black int. (I went with Greige leather seats!) As for the off-road test: my 2015 CX-5 Sport FWD w/2.0L I4 & 6-spd. manual transmission can’t climb my steep, rural Colorado driveway (ask AAA if you don’t believe me); but my new 2025 CX-70 PHEV in the Mi-Drive’s OFF-ROAD mode conquers it (& then crawls back down it using Hill Descent Ctrl @ 1-2 mph!).
@@raymikes1234 IMHO, Lexus is the brand of vehicle for people who don’t like driving but would rather be chauffeur-driven and never leave the comfort of their couch. Mazda’s 4actual drivers!
Wow. I'm glad you made this review! I know it's not an apple to apple comparison, but I would take this light off-roading and in the market for a new car! And have been between this and the Outerbanks Bronco. Thanks for the great review!

Very nice car, but the Lexus is more expensive for a reason, nice car, but you are paying for it. Lexus is probably the number 1 brand car period

Nice review - I really like I you add a video of the other tire. Now it would be even better if you added a video of the pedal work!
Very nice. I personally don't like reactive AWD systems though because you have to chew up your tires before the front or rear engages.
What is the over heating issue? Is this in the 50 as well. I have saw two videos about this!!!!
I believe you mean Rexburg, Idaho?
Unrelated to the CX-70 but I'd like to see how a manual CX-5 would do going up that hill.
We would love it if Mazda still made a manual cx5!
