😅 after 7 grades of sanding, I sprayed first layer and OMG😅 Everything became blurred😅 I almost fell😊 luckily you mention about this on video so it encouraged me to go with second clear coat layer Thanks for detailed description.
Great tip! I can't wait to make mine shine again. The faded headlights cheapen the look of the car substantially!
Yes bro my car one is so yellow it makes the whole car look trash 😂
Best tutorial on TH-cam bro! I hope it blows up for you fam! Everytime someone types that in on TH-cam this should be the one they click on!!
Excited for all the TL restoration/educational vids, Imma need them for my car badddd lol
Wow! Impressive! Just found the next diy for my Type S. Thanks for the vid!
Great tutorial. Keep doing your thang.
For those cheapos/minimalists, I found toothpaste and a rag is all that’s needed. About 10-15min per light, and it’s gold.
In fact, I even buffed one after toothpaste polishing, and no difference. Definitely add clear coat, or some PPF. I went PPF and while it works, it’s more laborious
Looks good. I need to get my TSX lights that hood
New headlights he’ll yeah 👍🏾🥵
Ive used 3M clear mask over the headlights after getting the lights clear. First one I did was 3 years ago and its still like new
Almost 800 likes leggo. Im bout to buy an 07 rdx turbo awd needed to do the headlights
Big difference in light output when their clean. Nice job
Definitely! Appreciate it 😎
thanks
thanks needed this video
The car’s lights are so sleek and prestine looking now. Thanks for showing us the process on a tl
No problemooo appreciate it
Thoughts on the Maguirers kit.
You use a cordless drill and paste they provide as well as a clear coating liquid. Not permanent but works well.
Did you use only the 400 grid?
Appreciate the input 👌
Mine are cloudy they need restoration
Much blessings 🙌
Ty
Are there links to parts and accessories that are on your personal car ? I wanna get the headlights you’ve got
For the pro method you only used 400 grit then the clear coat or you went through multiple grits?
I need that pro treatment, my Tl's headlights have looked so rough since the day I bought it smh :(
How many sand paper did you use for each grid ??
What’s the first thing you sprayed on the headlights ?? Was it also alcohol
Did u wet sand with all grits ?
I'm curious on the light output on both. In my head I feel like the clear coat side, the coat may create some type of barrier that may affect the light output
Trust me it won’t. Nothing worth mentioning in real life.
my akebono brakes squeak like that but only in reverse. been doing it for 3 years.
Where are you guys located?
this may be a stupid question… what did you wet sand with? water?
Did you go from 500 to 2500 grit on the pro side ?
Still waiting for that video!
so you don’t need a heat gun for the first method?
2K all day. TL, too legit.
Y2K clear is a nightmare to take off and it will yellow in couple of years but worst park is that it will destroy your headlights with spider cracking. It’s not made for headlights and is to hard which then over heats the headlights which then causes the spider cracking.
Facts
2 coats ?
When I did this it left that bubbling on one of the headlights any idea why?
I made the mistake of not warming the clear in warm water. Should’ve layed a lot thinner. Try resanding and doing again. Probably was the clear coat
How many sand sheets did you used for each grid ?
Bro why you never got another acura integra. To hook up
Have you seen what they going for now? All beat up ppl still askin like 6k 🤯
I’ll pay the $125 for it. How do I get in contact with you ? I need them on the tl.
@premiumlifestyledetailing on ig
Yoo bro could you like the stuff you used
This is just my personal opinion but for most cars especially older cars it's just cheaper to buy completely new headlights than do all this. But hey it's fun to DIY too
Headlights for these cars are pretty expensive.
@@calebcochran2972 yup about $500-$600 depending on what you go with.
I did the second method and it’s better (no more yellow stuff) but the plastic is now very cloudy/scratched looking when the sun hits it. I sanded like you showed and then polished it out. Seems like the sanding damaged the plastic.
YIKESSS ! big oops!
i hope you ‘wet’ sanded & used the right sand paper..and not jus completely gritted your headlights…😢 might need to order new ones…
@@-shezinluv- yes I wet sanded the whole time and even started with 600 instead of 400 and moved my way up to the finer stuff. Didn’t even sand it that long. But ya, it didn’t work. Probably have to order new ones.
I am not paying $500 for some clear headlights thats ridiculous
Bruh check ur brake pads😅
My only issue with this video is that you’re spraying 2k clear… in an an enclosed building… without a respirator
My brother in Christ are you trying to give yourself cancer
What’s your Instagram? Can I dm you a picture of my headlights I’m wondering if they are too far gone.
